“I had the most amazing experience at Rock and Rose in Richmond. The food was great - my friend and I ordered the crispy tempura shrimp, the chicken milanese, the lamb leg steak and sticky toffee pudding for dessert - can't fault anything, tasted amazing! The drinks were delicious too, the bartenders put on a whole show for us and it added to the experience. The staff were all so lovely and hospitable, I loved the decor and ambience inside and it was super packed which goes to show how popular it is. Thank you so much for having us, this place is a hidden gem for sure! Can't wait to return ✨️”

“We visited as a party of 6 without having booked and they were able to accommodate us in spite of being quite busy. We ordered starters and a main course and all really enjoyed our meals. the restaurant was clean, well decorated and had gentle music playing in the background which provided a very nice atmosphere. “The Old ship is a classic lunch time spot in Richmond. They have a lot of space both down and upstairs, with the upstairs being an unbelievable event space. We come regularly for lunch and it never fails. As a gluten free man the cider battered fish and chips went down a treat, as well as the pint in the picture below ‘Bandit’. One of nicest gluten free pints I have had in years.”

Just a short stroll from Richmond Bridge, it boasts incredible, panoramic views towards Richmond Hill. Beyond the scenery, we loved the true family-style experience, complete with shared tables shaded by large umbrellas which are brilliant for protection from the elements. It's clearly a place that embraces everyone, as it's wonderfully pet-friendly. The combination of superb food and a genuine selection of Munich beers made for an unforgettable afternoon. “What a lovely and amazing place. The dining rooms are as beautiful as the food. Its however more expensive than a Michelin starred restaurant. £394 for 4 of us. So control the drinking! Loved the litre of sicilian lemonade, reminded me of Glastonbury lemonade carts. My only little gripe, was it was winter, I had a long coat, and the host should have taken our coats as there is only a dirt floor and your coat tails trail in the dust. They eventually came to hang it up in their cloakroom”

“By far the best pub in Richmond. We regularly go to the Mitre, as they serve really fresh cask ales that change regularly. They also serve fantastic pizza’s where you can choose your own toppings or have the monthly special. We often get the dough balls as they are the perfect accompaniment to a few pints! Definitely get down there if your in the area!”

The batter was so crispy but not greasy and the fish was so juicy and succulent in the middle. It was literally cooked to perfection. The chips were amazing too. Not to crispy and not to soggy. A perfect blend and you can tell they use really good potatoes. Really friendly service in lovely little area. Just a shame I don’t live closer as would be here every Friday! Highly recommend!!”

For some background, everyone who I was with for dinner had previously dined at the Glasshouse at some point in their lives, so when we all arrived for dinner at Hawthorn, we were intrigued about how it would compare… AND WOW our expectations were blown out of the water. Not only did we each quite literally lick the plates clean, but we all felt that each course was complex yet also felt so simple and just plain delicious. We heard that the restaurant just opened a couple of weeks ago, but the food tasted as if the chefs have been cooking together for years. Whether you are there for lunch or dinner, either set menu is incredibly well priced (especially when the food quality is at this level). The sommelier is incredible, suggesting perfect pairings for each course to accommodate every taste bud or finding a bottle that works with a table of diners who ordered a mixture of seafood and meat mains! Conveniently it’s also right next to Kew Gardens station or a short walk from Richmond station - very easy to get to and definitely worth a trip. What an amazing new restaurant in Kew!”
