This is a family owned and run restaurant and such a pleasant change from those formulaic chains. All our food was superb, particularly the fish dishes and great value. Pre-booking is advisable.”

Despite booking a table for 22 of us at very short notice , Bonnie and Jay went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing dinner for my family gathering. The service was attentive and impeccable throughout the whole evening and the food truly delicious with very generous portions. We all had the fixed menu with a selection of starters ( the fried calamari are the best I have eaten in a very long time - even my Sicilian auntie thought they were tastier than the ones in Sicily ) followed by the prawns risotto and fresh ravioli with porcini mushroom and sage which were both heavenly! We ended the dinner with an amazing selection of desserts, all beautifully presented. I live in London but I will definitely drive back to Guildford just to eat at Carlo’s again!. “Great Indian curry house in Guildford. They serve excellent Sunday Buffet with good choices to choose from. Samosa and onion bhaji were an excellent choice from their starter options. Madras chicken curry and lamp curry with Naan were my favourites. They do also have vegetarian options and serve basmati rice. Overall an excellent choice for a family dine out for any memorable occasion.”

“Back in Woking visiting my friends after moving to the coast and went to Eastern Taste (my old local) WOW, what an improvement! The restaurant has been refurbished and the food was absolutely delicious, served on lovely hot new crockery. All 4 of us had something different and not a complaint/grumble about any of it.”

While it's a smaller selection, they manage to pack in a good variety of Waitrose essentials. It's ideal for those last-minute bits, or when you need to top up on quality groceries without a full supermarket trip. The addition of the coffee machine is a nice touch too, for a quick pick me up. Overall a good experiance for a petrol station based shop.”

The food here is very authentic you can taste Malaysian flavours, Hong Kong-style dishes, and traditional Chinese flavours as well. I believe they must have chefs from different backgrounds, because they manage to deliver such a wide range of delicious and authentic dishes. The service is excellent too. The staff are polite, friendly, and very efficient. You can tell that the management is responsible and pays attention to the details, whether it’s clearing tables or serving dishes. Everything feels well organized and professional. I also really enjoyed the karaoke section. After dinner, it’s a great place to relax, sing, and have a small gathering with friends. The system works smoothly, the song selection is up to date, and overall it adds a fun and lively atmosphere to the restaurant. “Myself and two friends decided to try Bengal Dynasty as is was close to the Travel Lodge we were staying at. Being a Sunday evening it was quiet and we were seated straight away. Menu had some great choices. Two of us opted for the Tandoori mixed grill. Absolutely superb - I really recommend. My friend ordered Chicken Tikka Balti, he really enjoyed it, although he said it was a bit spicy. We were even given free shot of Baileys and a whiskey. Very polite waiter and front of house staff, food was quickly served. I would definitely return if ever I was to visit the area again.”

“We got a takeaway recently from Shangri La. The lady behind the counter was so friendly and welcoming. We gave her my name and straight away she knew the order and confirmed it back to us! She was very chatty and helpful. The food didn’t take long either. It was ready within 15 mins of ordering. We ordered some Thai food which was very tasty! We will be ordering from them again!!!”
