“By far the best pub in Richmond. We regularly go to the Mitre, as they serve really fresh cask ales that change regularly. They also serve fantastic pizza’s where you can choose your own toppings or have the monthly special. We often get the dough balls as they are the perfect accompaniment to a few pints! Definitely get down there if your in the area!”

“Coffee tasted good and great service from the two lovely ladies there this morning. The cup pictured is large, against a 500ml bottle for size reference. The cup also says it's 100% compostable which is great. Also bought the vegan pistachio chocolate bar which was really good”

“Got 2 tattoos done by Lucile yesterday. The studio is absolutely lovely—cosy, warm, and super comfortable. The artists, Lucile and Maly, are so professional and talented and make it really easy to feel comfortable there. I’ve had a few tattoos done by Lucile before when she was at another studio, so I knew the work would be amazing, but I’m truly blown away by the results. She took my idea and turned it into my dream tattoo. I truly couldn’t be happier and I recommend Lucile to anyone looking to get tattooed. She can do any style, big or tiny, and she’s super flexible. She’s honestly so talented—definitely the best artist I know!”

We’ve ordered the most beautiful celebratory cakes and the pastries at this lovely little patisserie are exquisite. The cafe has a lovely homely atmosphere and the owners are always welcoming. We have tried many other menu items and they are always well prepared. We love the charm of Le Moulin and always look forward to returning.”

“This is my my local pubs and we tried it the other day for Sunday Roast. Pleasant staff nice food and there's another area when kids can hang about. I would recommend this Sunday Roast they seve pork, beef, chicken and I think I vegetarian option”

“A fantastic little pub with a great selection of beers and ales. Lots of quirky memorabilia and historic adverts all around the pub, a great atmosphere and friendly staff. Beer was reasonably priced for a suburb of London. A proper, unpretentious pub!”

“A wonderfully unique mini brewer just outside the Claygate station. I think there was 3 beers on when we were there including a beautiful dark ale. The beers we had were lovely but sadly no notes were taken. If you're in Claygate, give it a go.”

“Try to go on one of the “steam days” when they have the giant steam engines working. The engines are a similar type and size to those used in the titanic. There’s a nice cafe inside and places to sit. Lots of informative displays dotted about the place. There is plenty of parking. Buy tickets in advance for busier days. In the same area is the waterworks steam railway.”

“Just went here around our 20th Anniversary. Hotel, bar, and restaurant were all stunning. Staff was amazing. Our waiter at the grill (Matthew) was an excellent guide and was indispensable to the culinary journey. The sommelier was amazing and helpful. “I recently got an Egyptian design tattooed by Adie at Renaissance Tattoo and I honestly couldn’t be more impressed. From the moment I walked into the studio, it was clear I was in good hands. The space is spotless, calm, and welcoming—everything feels very professional yet personal. Adie took the time to truly listen to what I wanted. He didn’t just copy a reference image; he asked great questions about which symbols meant the most, how bold I wanted the shading, how fine the lines should be, what kind of style (realism, black & grey, etc.) I was leaning toward. He sketched with precision, explained the process and what to expect from healing, and made me feel confident every step of the way. When it came to the tattooing itself, I was amazed. The detail in the Egyptian motifs was immaculate. The black & grey work is smooth; contrast is strong but tasteful; every line is sharp, every curve intentional. During long stretches, he checked I was okay, let me take breaks when needed, kept the atmosphere relaxed (some good music, friendly chat), which helped more than I expected. What really stands out about Adie is not just his technical skill, but his intelligence and deep respect for what he’s creating. He clearly has a strong background—not just in art, but in understanding the meaning behind the imagery. I learned about his interest in Egyptology and theology during our consultation, and it made me trust that the symbols I’d chosen would be treated with care. Aftercare advice was excellent. He explained what to do (and what not to do), how the ink might settle or fade, how certain quirks are natural, etc. Now that the tattoo is healing, it looks even better than I expected—crisp, beautifully saturated, and still holding up strong. Overall, Adie at Renaissance Tattoo is outstanding. If you want an artist who is not only tremendously talented, but also intelligent, committed, communicative, and someone who cares about both the design and your comfort, you’ll be hard pressed to do better. I absolutely love my Egyptian design, and I can’t wait to go back for more. Highly, highly recommend.”

“We were playing Golf at the London Club and I contacted the pub and asked if they would accommodate 4 of us for a full English breakfast before we went to the Golf Club. The manager Steve called me and it was arranged. We had a reserved table and they did us proud. 3 x Full English, Egg, Fried Slice, Mushroom, Sausage and Beans £9.99. Absolute Bargain. We play this every year so this will definitely be an annual pop in for breakfast! Atmosphere in the pub was great and it was spotless thank you once again”

“Stopped here during my last day of London and I decided to stop by as the Dishoom restaurants was highly recommended to try in London and London is known for phenomenal Indian food. This place did not disappoint! Okra fries were nice and crisp, charred lamb chops were great, and the chicken ruby had great flavour with a good spice kick. Service was excellent as the waitress took her time to explain the menu and the best way to order and to put combinations of meals together as their menu can get complicated. Definitely should book a reservation ahead of time, we went in at 4pm and it was not really busy.”

“Such a lovely restaurant. Friendly staff. Amazing classic French menu. Good wine list. The food was outstanding. Highlights for me were the foie gras creme brulee starter...I love foie gras but never tasted anything like that before. And get the crepe Suzette for dessert, great theatre and a delicious and surprisingly light end to an amazing meal. Will definitely be back.”
