“Attended a child's birthday party event here. Was thoroughly impressed with the swimming pool, good size, clean, warm temperature, lots of floats and things for the kids to play with, excellent safety and a nice little room on the side where they cut the cake and had a little party. Overall really impressed. Oh and the grounds for the school are lovely too! Easy parking available as well.”

“It is customary to post, post departure but I must give credit to all staff and venue. The amenities are good and staff well attentive. The Xmas theme and little treats are more than welcoming and a pleasant surprise. The service and food are amazing. This was a great idea and thank you to the entire team. Will definitely recommend and return.”

“Lovely pool, it is split into a main pool and learner pool so that’s nice for swimmers. Lane and general swim available. My daughter has swimming lessons here and the standard of teaching is high. The kids are pushed enough to be competitive but not so much that it’s negative competition. There are windows down two sides of the pool so when the sun is low you get beautiful dappled light in the water which feels lovely to swim in. One of the most unpretentious swimming pools around! Check it out next time you want a swim!”

“Perfect overnight stay, always delightful and attentive staff, check in always impeccable, the lounge a delight and breakfast service, spot on, again, staff are brilliant. Huge comfortable beds, gorgeous bed linen and the most sumptuous fluffy towels, immaculate bathrooms, I always feel I should clean the wash hand basin after brushing my teeth, and you can’t hear the aircraft even though they skim the roof. Highly recommended”

“Ah! What can I say! Forrest Hill Pools, is definitely my A1 in the Better Gym branches. A breathe of fresh air! Not only are the staff lovely, but the gym itself is alway spotless! Cleaners regularly cleaning and keeping the place hygienic, customers respecting the facilities by also keeping it clean and putting equipment away. Classes are always great! Darren is a fantastic trainer, always attentive of everyone in the group and always encourages you. Caroline who is on reception always has a wonderful smile on her face when you enter and greets you warmly, just a great start to your day especially if you’re like me who will wake up at 5am get washed and dressed and drive 30-40 mins to get here, you’re drained as it is, then you step in and are welcomed by lovely staff! It’s worth your travels! I haven’t been to this branch in a while, not fault of there own just circumstantial, but I will be returning shortly as they are thus far my favourite!!! Other than going to the gym and classes I haven’t used the pool, so I can’t comment on it, but will soon. They do junior gym which is great too, my son gets to come along with me at times before our home school hours which he enjoys. I also enjoy the virtual spin class. My only wish is that there was parking facilities but unfortunately there isn’t any but one disabled parking bay. Other than this there is nothing I can say against this Better branch. Well done to all the staff in this branch for keeping up good standards that is expect from your customers. Thank you because it makes the experience a good one.”

“We stayed here as part of a package deal with the Warner Brother Harry Potter studios. The hotel was comfortable and clean. All of the staff were really friendly. Shout out to manager Charlie for organising a birthday plate for my sister. It was really kind and thoughtful. The hotel went above and beyond for us. Fantastic breakfast with lots of variety. The hair dryer in my room didn't work and the reception replaced it immediately. Every interaction we had was really promot. The only negative I would say is the rooms are a little tired. We stayed in a twin room but the friendliness of the staff and the great breakfast make up for that.”

“Swim every week with my son & have a second fun trip to the leisure pool too when I've time. There's a sauna next to the main (competition) pool. Plenty of showers - cubicle & open. Clean changing rooms. Entry is very reasonable. You need a returnable £1 coin for lockers. Nice cafe.”

“What can I say its original 1930s style..no changing rooms,no lockers or private showers..pool side changing small shallow pool. Very murky with bad taste water..but staff and customers very friendly. Pool side showers were good Love it ..it's unique!!!@@@”

“Swim weekly at this pool. Since being taken over by Better in January 2024, the staff, upkeep and management of the pool has really improved. There are more times to swim, the pool is a good temperature, and the facilities during the day are very clean and tidy. Changing rooms recently repainted and repairs always taking place, which is very different to previous management by Fusion. The staff are friendly and reliable, and there’s a community of regulars. It’s an old pool but very welcoming and suits me perfectly. My child also has swimming lessons here and it’s a delight seeing her progress from a splashy mess to a decent back-crawl in nine months - the changing room is dirtier during evening lessons but that’s because parents/carers and children leave their shoes on.”

“My two children both swim with GoggleSquad Swimming School Surrey. My eldest preferes group lessons, she progresses week on week and really enjoys them. My son finds it difficult to remain focused in a group class so we have opted for 1:2:1 lessons, his teacher is outstanding and has the right balance of patience and firmness whilst also making the lessons fun. We are very happy with GoggleSquad and look forward to seeing them develop their skills.”

“Benjamin loves going to Boom arts ( he goes on a Friday and in the holidays). Paisley always greets us with a warm and friendly smile. Ben is especially fond of Sam and Miss Isla. Ben has grown in confidence and loves showing family members his newest moves! So proud of him achieving an Honours award in his dance exam. “I am glad my kids joined the ISA. I feel it is rare to find a swimming place that gives your children one to one session. Most places provide group sessions, therefore it's great ISA exist. My kids teacher Yasmine is a great teacher she engages the kids during the lesson in a fun way and is also aware every child different learning needs.”

“We have had our children at Minnows for 6 years and to see them progress to fantastic swimmers has been great. Justine and the team do a great job in encouraging them, whilst also challenging them to be the best swimmers they can be. We cannot recommend Justine and the team highly enough.”

“I have being sending Barney to Halo Dogs for around 2 years, and trust me when I say if Barney didn't like it he wouldn't go. The team at HALO are amazing and look after Barney as though he was their own, when Barney comes back from Day School I can just tell he has had a fun actioned packed fun day. I am also really appreciative of the pick up and drop off service from my home or my work place, the ease of the booking system and the the general organisation of how Halo Dogs runs. Barney and I highly recommend Halo, while you dog is living their best life, you can rest assure that your dog will be in very safe and caring hands.”

“Grace is absolutely fantastic with the dogs she cares for, she is kind and knowledgeable and always puts the dogs needs first giving them the attention they need on their walks. Grace is always on time and is great at communicating any changes that may occur due to extreme weather etc. Grace offers a different walk experience every week for the dogs and selects different locations to give variety and stop them from becoming too familiar or board. She plays different stimulating games such as ball games, find the treat games to keep the dogs busy. Grace sets up special parties and dog sessions in safe fields with agility courses for the dogs. We always feel that Grace loves her work and never get the sense that she's just in it for the money like some other dog walkers. She is lovely, genuinely kind and patient and has given us so much helpful advice in training Hugo. Hugo sits waiting for Grace and is excited to go on the walk with his dog friends each week...we trust Grace 100% and are so grateful for all she does! Hugo also assures me that Grace and Aunty give the best sausage treats at the end of their walks!”

“Claire is an excellent swim teacher and our son has shown consistent improvement in confidence, attentiveness and ability over the last 8 weeks. She always lets children take the lead on their own development. She makes the basics fun and engaging and is also caring and accepting on those “off days” that 2/3/4 year olds have. The teachers are patient and are fully aware of the different capabilities of the age groups they are working with. “We moved to Next Level last year after spending 9 years at another academy, and honestly, my daughter has made more progress in the last 6 months here than in the previous 3 years elsewhere. This is entirely thanks to the incredible teaching staff. From day one, Nikki has been amazing—assessing my daughter, guiding us to the right class, and helping us choose the best swimming activities (and they have plenty!). The late evening classes are brilliant—no traffic, no rushing around. The water polo camp was a real highlight—well organised, affordable, and so much fun for the kids. My daughter learned new skills, made friends, and couldn’t wait to go back each day. One thing that really stands out is how attentive the teachers are. They watch the kids constantly, guide them, and truly listen to them. My daughter absolutely loves going, leaves every lesson with a big smile, and can’t wait to tell me what she’s learned. Parents can also watch the classes, and the teachers are always approachable if you need to speak to them. Communication is excellent—you receive detailed progress reports, but you can also just have a friendly chat with the staff. They are incredibly encouraging and supportive of the kids.
