“Puddl ducks provide some of the best swimming lessons available for 0-5 years old. The lessons at Chessington are in the safari hotel pool. Lessons take place in an exclusive area of the pool and the depth is 1.2m throughout meaning there is plenty of space for the kids to move about whilst still being a comfortable experience even for non swimming parents. Recommended.”

“Had a great time here today. The pools were all well managed by the lifeguards, they were actively checking how busy the pools were, closing them at capacity, making sure children were using the slides correctly etc which was nice to see. The two smaller pools were great for my toddlers and they really enjoyed the slides. We travelled half an hour to get here as we don’t have anything like this near us so it was a nice change. The only improvement for us would be more family changing rooms as they were full when we got there and the small changing rooms were very tricky to change twin toddlers in. They can’t help the size of the building though! We’d visit again”

“I have been a member of White Oak for over 3 years now and do not plan on changing gym. I mainly go to the morning classes and we have very good experienced instructors in Yoga, kettlebell, Pilates, Zumba, circuit. The centre as a whole is very good although needs more cleaners and maintenance . I cannot comment on the cafe because I do not use it but it's always busy. The staff are lovely especially the ladies at the reception, Scarlet and Demi being some of my favourite. If you want value for money, this centre is probably the best around.”

“I’ve been a member since just before Covid and this place kickstarted my love of fitness, to the extent that I’ve now become a qualified instructor myself. I started off with Nancy’s classes and found her so professional- greeting every new participant and learning their name so that you always felt welcomed. I loved her fun approach and inclusivity. Sadly work means I can only do her classes in the school holidays now, but when I do, I leave pump and dance fit on a Thursday morning with a well-needed injection of joy!”

“Just joined Virgin Active Bromley and I’m really impressed. The gym is clean, modern, and has everything you need. The equipment is top quality and always available. The staff are friendly and make you feel welcome from day one. The changing rooms are spotless, and the pool and sauna are great for recovery. It’s got a really good vibe never feels overcrowded, just a great place to train and stay consistent. Glad I signed up here.”

“Good swimming pool with sauna and steam room. Gets understandably busy during school holidays so best to avoid those times! Plenty of changing cubicles, enough lockers and there are private showers and some hair dryers. Coffee shop has good selection of sandwiches and paninis which staff are happy to heat up. Some swimwear and accessories are available to purchase in the reception area. Plenty of parking.”

Brixton Recreation Centre offers a wide range of activities and well-maintained facilities, including the gym, swimming pool, and sports areas. Everything is clean, spacious, and well organized, making it suitable for all ages and fitness levels. “First Impression is excellent. I had a tour of the centre today. Zandesha was very thorough and answered all my questions with a positive approach. I'm looking forward to joining the gym soon. The equipment looks good so will transition from my existing gym once I've cancelled my membership. I'll update my post when I've visited and worked out a few times.”

“The gym staff here are outstanding. I would like to single out Ula in particular who, after I injured my knee, put me on a special programme. Weeks later I attended a physio at the hospital who said I was on the road to recovery. Full marks to her. Pity about the state of the pool.”

“Amazing family swim in the lagoon pool and totem splash pad. Recently visited with our 18 month old who loved it so much. The centre was very clean and modern. £1 returnable for the lockers. The temperature was warm as was the water so she could splash about for a long time and didn't get cold at all. There was free parking also. What an amazing experience well worth travelling to if out of area.”

“All the staff only instance, Chris, very knowledgeable and friendly. Really great atmosphere and assistance should you need it is always available. All in all a great place to relax and do excercise. Today Sue at reception was extremely helpful at the entrance turnstile, very friendly and courteous. Callum a swimming instructor was extremely helpful when I had a query regarding the swimming lanes, am absolute gentleman”

“A friend and I only came here (from Hockley, near Southend) to use the showers after having run the Epping Forest 10km. We had been prepared to pay for a day pass, but also wanted to use the swimming pool to make it more worthwhile. However, when we asked at reception, we were informed that there is no swimming pool. We explained what our intention had been, and the lady on reception very kindly allowed us to use their showers free of charge. We were extremely grateful for this as we wanted to stay in Epping for the afternoon as this is where my friend's dad was from, and he had very recently passed away. I've no idea what the rest of the facilities are like, but the showers are great.”
