The shop is stylish and welcoming, and our barber was a true professional. They were fantastic with my son and listened to exactly what we both wanted, delivering two great haircuts. The attention to detail was incredible. We've definitely found our new go-to spot. Highly recommended!”

“My husband and I had been to this restaurant a few years ago for our wedding anniversary which was unfortunately cut short as our youngest son had an incident at school (he's SEN) and we hadn't really thought about it again until today. I had booked a table at a Mexican restaurant in Bexleyheath for my birthday and made them aware it was my birthday. I had turned up at the booked time to be told they had a private function and unceremoniously turned away with zero apology or acknowledgement of the trauma they had caused me! I was absolutely devastated but I saw the sign for Il Vesuvio and some new hope burned in me. Whilst the restaurant was fully booked the staff so kindly found us a table we could have for just under two hours and they treated us like royalty! We enjoyed starters and mains from the main and specials menu (we would have had pudding but we were full!) nothing was too much trouble and everything was gorgeous! I enjoyed whitebait and octopus, whilst my family enjoyed vongole, carbonara and calamari. Everything was piping hot, fresh and delicious and they even gave us some complimentary limoncello! I can't believe I had all but forgotten this absolute gem! Thank you for taking my day from despair to joy and I heartily encourage everyone to come to this amazing venue! Thank you so much for making my birthday so special!”

“This place is nice if you like sushi and ramen, sashimi mix it delicious I love raw salmon and tuna nice with soy sauce, Tokyo Ramen packed with flavours I chose spicy, my brother, niece and nephew all had Tokyo Ramen, shrimp gyoza tasty and bao bun Korean chicken is crispy delicious.”

“Went here for my Nonno’s birthday, such a lovely atmosphere! The owners and people were so lovely and so friendly! They made us feel so welcome. And at the end of the meal they brought out a surprise tiramisu and sang happy birthday to my Nonno. Lovely people, lovely place!! 10/10 food, I had the risotto di bosco (mushroom risotto with chestnuts), and it was amazing! The pizza was so good too! Brilliant experience! Xx”

“Abruzzo in London. I've found it now! I've been looking for a place to eat Arrosticini and I've found this newly open restaurant – Orfeo restaurant. The expectations were high as I am from the region of Abruzzo and I wanted to bring my friends to try Arrosticini. From the moment of the booking, all staff was exceptional. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Marco, the manager, made our dinner special. I felt I was in my home town in Abruzzo. My friends who are from different countries felt amazed by the warm Abruzzo welcoming. The food was fresh and so delicious. Finally, we ate the traditional Arrosticini served in a unique way. My vegetarian friend ate the traditional 'Pallotte Cace e Ove', she really loved it. The restaurant atmosphere was pleasant, ideal for a dinner with friends. A bonus, it is only two minutes walking from the overground. Orfeo restaurant lived up to my expectations. My friends and I will definitely come back soon. Highly recommend!”

“Wonderful! The four of us are pretty experienced and diverse eaters (US-Canada based however) but ordered six dishes and each was unlike anything we had had before. They were also all superb. We went for the ones that the detailed and helpful descriptions said were specifically Bangladeshi and were also guided by our server. We were blown away by how delicious and interesting the food was. Our server - who was the owner and chef - explained all the dishes and made clear what to seek out in the tastes. “Abeno is an outstanding Japanese restaurant that specialises in the Kansai variant (also called “Osaka style”) of okonomiyaki. Given the glowing appraisals it has received from other Maps reviewers, my partner and I decided to book ourselves in for a special occasion. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly and ushered into the restaurant’s cosy interior. Our server took the time to explain the range of okonomiyaki available and the nuances that distinguish one style from another. Each table was attended to by a dedicated staff who - part guide, part chef - skilfully prepares the dish before their patrons’ eyes on the teppan grill. The result is a service experience that feels both personal and interactive, fostering a sense of intimacy and care that few establishments in London manage to achieve. After we devoured our Okonomiyaki of choice - the Tokyo and Osaka variant - we concluded our meal with their award-winning matcha ice cream. While the service at Abeno borders on exceptional, the food itself was, to our palates, somewhat more understated. To be clear, there is nothing substandard about Abeno’s offerings - far from it - but having had the privilege of sampling okonomiyaki across Japan, Hong Kong, and Singapore, I found the flavours here comparatively restrained. Setting aside the price, which runs nearly three times what one might expect to pay in parts of Asia, the pancakes lacked the robust, punchy seasoning that gives the dish its signature character. The Tokyo okonomiyaki in particular felt a touch under-seasoned, and the same might be said of their much-lauded matcha ice cream. While I appreciated the delicate tea notes and subtle sweetness, the texture fell short of the velvety smoothness one associates with Japanese dairy desserts. That said, to focus solely on these shortcomings would be to overlook what makes Abeno such a delight. The sheer attentiveness of the staff, the warmth of the atmosphere, and the simple joy of watching your meal come to life on the grill combine to create an experience that transcends mere taste. There is a sense of theatre and authenticity to the process - one that feels lovingly faithful to the spirit of Kansai cooking. All in all, Abeno remains an experience worth seeking out, not only for its well-executed okonomiyaki but for the generosity of its hospitality and the care with which each detail is considered. It may not transport you entirely to Osaka, but it offers a thoughtful and charming homage to its essence - right in the heart of London.”

“We had a whole Birthday evening arranged for my girlfriend, we were to come to you guys and then go to a show. You guys got us in and out so quick as we had a few issues getting into London and we’re behind but you looked after us so we’ll in such a short amount of time we felt so valued and the food was absolutely fantastic we could not fault it in any way. Anyway the show got cancelled last minute so we came back to you and had an even better evening than expected!! My girl worked her way through your cocktail list, of which were all very very good, and she’s a hard one to please but she loved every single one. I had nearly every non alcoholic cocktail you make and was equally impressed. We sat and watched you all working the kitchen was mesmerising to see in action and we really felt that we were genuinely looked after not just customers on the end of the bar that needed seeing to. Thank you so so much for making what could have been a washout a very pleasurable experience and we will be coming back very soon with friends next time.”

Staff is friendly and food is reasonably priced. Highly recommended this cafe in Woking. And this cafe is temporary closed from 2 March till September for renovations.”
