He’s a special boy like all our dogs are. He’s had a ruff first 10 months of his life so I was worried but I shouldn’t have been, so much so you’ll be seeing him again in April.”

“Our two little dogs have never stayed in kennels before and we were a bit worried about leaving them so we thought we would try them out at Two Gates. We have just picked them up this morning after their two day holiday and we needn’t have worried at all. They came back so happy and clean and we could see they had been well looked after. Graham and his wife did a great job and you can tell this isn’t just a business to them they really do care about the animals. We wouldn’t hesitate to use them again and recommend them to any one. “Have been bringing my dog here for a few years now and super happy with how he is looked after. Always looks bright and happy on collection, lovely setting and paddocks to exercise him in. Friendly and helpful staff. Perhaps book early as they tend to fill spaces very quickly.”

“My husky stayed here for 7 days while i was away, the ladies at the kennel were amazing so caring and friendly and my dog immediately felt comfortable around them. My dog was well looked after and the groomer deshedded my dog before she came home which was very kind of them to do. Definitely recommend and will be using this kennel again. Thank you”

“I boarded my cat and dog with Oak Cottage Kennels & Cattery for the first time as our usual kennels and cattery were fully booked. I went to take a look and was very impressed by the very knowledgeable, professional and friendly staff. I could tell immediately that they put the welfare of the pets first. They were very good at explaining how the kennels work on a daily basis. I booked in two trial days for our Labrador and then both my cat and dog stayed for two weeks. I had very regular photos and it was obvious they were both enjoying their stay. I would like to thank everyone for looking after my pets in an exceptional manner. Harvey and Simba will definitely book again! A massive thank you to all !”

“Came for a viewing beforehand and I honestly wasn’t too sure, mainly with the length of time they’re alone overnight without access to outside - it seems like this might be standard practice in kennels though. BUT, it seems like he had a good time. It was my first time boarding my 8.5 year old dog (he’s done daycare and stayed overnight with sitters, just not kennels before). He ate his food which was a surprise, but a good sign. I chose Haytor because of the ability for him to play with other dogs. My dog is nervous with new people, but he gains confidence around other dogs. The drop off felt quite like I was being rushed a bit, but this could just be because they’re aiming to spend as much time as possible with the dogs. It would be great to see photos of them whilst there, through Instagram stories for example (although it seems super busy so that might not be possible). I emailed to check on him in the afternoon and got a response the following morning, which was fine. An option to drop off at the daycare time, if your dog is social, would be great too instead of just 10-12 or 2-5! Especially on a Saturday overnight as you do end up paying for two days for around 24 hours as there are no afternoon pickups on a Sunday, so a single sat to sun overnight comes out quite expensive that way, though I understand different kennels have different booking setups. Overall, my dog came back happy, he ate and although very glad to see me, didn’t seem too bothered by his stay. Would recommend to anyone who feels their dog would benefit in a kennel environment from having other dogs around them! Will use Haytor kennels again for my dog. “As daunting as it is and painful to leave special family member behind, Chandlers Cross staff (Jess) made me feel reassured and I could see how much passion they had for dogs and ensuring that dog needs would be met. Care offered be as good as I could hope it to be.”

“Tudor Lodge were fantastic with our rescue dog. Our dog can become reactive and stressed with change or with people she does not know entering her sleeping space. Tudor Lodge handled this with such great care, ensuring our dogs wellbeing was a priority at all times. I cannot thank them enough and would 100% recommend.”

“My Boston Frank has just come back from his second stay this year and bless him he cried when he had to leave, he loves it Crossways that much. Frank has stayed at other kennels before and since finding Crossways I can not recommend them enough. The photos they send whilst your away are amazing and you get an little update, which always puts your mind at ease. Its a home from home for Frank”

“Our boy Hendricks has holidayed in your cattery 4 times now and he has always come home happy, I am confident that he is well cared for and loved while staying with you. All staff we have communicated with have been excellent and got back to us very quickly when we phoned with an enquiry. Already booked him in for next year!! What would be nice as a little extra is a photo or video e-mailed to us a couple of times, I think all owners would appreciate it and would only take a few minutes.”

“First time used this Cattery. We had 3 cats to book in whilst we were away and the cats were offered their own ‘chalet’. Paid a visit beforehand and very impressed with the set up as neat, tidy and clean. No problems with booking as we completed the detailed online booking form. Vaccinations were all checked with our vet and very professional set up. Really impressed with the cattery and Irene is obviously extremely passionate about the welfare of animals. Our cats came back to us content and happy. Will DEFINITELY use this Cattery again. Thank you!!!”

“I cannot recommend Beeches enough! As a dog owner, you hope that you never need to test a Kennels ability to look after your dog in a crisis but having now experienced it, you really couldn’t be in safer hands than theirs. We landed and arrived on holiday to a voicemail from Courtney breaking the news that our springer had suffered a very short seizure that morning. They already had a vet appointment made with our vet practice and reassured us that whilst our dog seemed a little subdued she was seemingly back to her normal self. They’d even had the quick thinking to video a tiny bit of it to be able to show the vet exactly what had happened. The tests had revealed nothing of concern, fingers crossed a one off event. I cannot fault their service over the next week. From the communication whilst at and after the vet appointment, moving her to a quieter kennel to reduce any stress and the regular updates and little videos of our dog happily wagging and sniffing. It was enough for us to be completely reassured that she was in great hands. Without their amazing service and support, I’m sure I would have cut short my holiday and I will always be so grateful for the love and care they showed our dog. Thank you all.”

“Used a few times and have had a good experience. It's always tough to leave your dog somewhere and not worry about them. But have been reassured when he stays here. Friendly staff, lots of friendly and happy dogs are usually boarding there too. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good kennel.”

“Max has returned from 4 days at red house kennels and is extremely happy. I was very nervous leaving Max, as he has a slightly nervy nature and I haven’t left him before. He has come back clean and very happy. Owners were also very nice and we will be using again for future breaks and holidays.
