“I just ordered a chicken dish but received 4 great complimentary dishes. There was some fresh bread, caramelized onions, spiced sliced onions and a huge salad. The chicken was nicely grilled and served in a yogurt sauce with aubergine. It was a great combination!”

There was only 1 other table eating in there which initially raised suspicions but plenty of take aways and the place was clean and well laid out with nice table clothes and cutlery. Since covid the in house dining had fallen away apparently which is a real shame and I’d hugely recommend everyone to eat in there, this place deserves to be packed! Food was all great, the waiter was extremely friendly & courteous. Food came out promptly, good quality, generous portions, fair price. Can’t fault it. Support your local restaurants.”

It was just under £100 for two people (including a bottle of wine and service charge). For food, we got the Khasi Tang Lamb (which was very tender), a garlic chicken chuli dish, and a spinach dish. All the waiters were great. Definitely recommend.”

We were slightly pressed for time as we had a train to catch back up north, so I was a little worried about queues and delays. Sure enough, when we arrived there was already a queue forming outside, and the weather looked like it was about to turn. Overall, taste of jaipur was a fantastic first-time experience for me. Efficient service, delicious food, and great timing meant we left full, happy, and on schedule for our train.”
