“A perfect Friday lunch in the garden of the Guildford Arms Pub. The food, drink and service was excellent and we will be back! The roast Hispi cabbage with kimchi was so delicious!!! One of our favourite pubs in SE London.”

“Expected it to be like any other wine/alcohol shop. Was pleasantly surprised. Stock levels are massive. They have huge selections of every spirits both small batch and mass produced. They do also take custom orders for parties or one off bottles you’d like. Staff were incredibly helpful offering detailed opinions and personal preferences. Very inclusive and welcoming. Openly admitted “the salesman in me says buy the more expensive one. The drinker in me says to buy the cheaper one as you’d enjoy it more” which I find amazing! Gave me tips and pointers for the future. They do also have a very varied collection of hot sauce and BBQ sauce which I’m in love with. New selection every 1-3 months depending on demand. By far my favourite shop for alcohol and a chat!!”

“The crab risotto and veal was an amazing combo! The veal dish is a perfectly delicate balance of different textures and flavours! The crab risotto was everything one is proud to write to home about (as they would say in old days), and in nowadays, yes it’s something they would post on here or insta for!”

“Visited last Monday during a week-long stag celebration and wow what a hidden gem! The garlic bread is quite honestly the best we’ve ever tasted and the cocktails were superb - and I think we tried the entire menu between us! Wonderful service, stayed open for us too. We can’t thank you enough, will definitely visit again if in the area!”

“We had a very memorable dinner at Carlo’s Trattoria ! Despite booking a table for 22 of us at very short notice , Bonnie and Jay went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing dinner for my family gathering. The service was attentive and impeccable throughout the whole evening and the food truly delicious with very generous portions. We all had the fixed menu with a selection of starters ( the fried calamari are the best I have eaten in a very long time - even my Sicilian auntie thought they were tastier than the ones in Sicily ) followed by the prawns risotto and fresh ravioli with porcini mushroom and sage which were both heavenly! We ended the dinner with an amazing selection of desserts, all beautifully presented. I live in London but I will definitely drive back to Guildford just to eat at Carlo’s again!. “Great Indian curry house in Guildford. They serve excellent Sunday Buffet with good choices to choose from. Samosa and onion bhaji were an excellent choice from their starter options. Madras chicken curry and lamp curry with Naan were my favourites. They do also have vegetarian options and serve basmati rice. Overall an excellent choice for a family dine out for any memorable occasion.”

“I went here yesterday with a large group of ladies. We had quite a few customisations on items. The lovely server was able to help us meet everyone's dietary requirements. Lovely food lovely service beautiful atmosphere and restaurant. And lovely glow of knowing I'm supporting an independent restaurant.”

“Relaxed coffee shop serving excellent coffee, with a nice selection of cakes and brunch options. Friendly staff, attentive service, reasonable pricing and a convenient location close to the centre of town make Krema the perfect place to stop for a coffee break while visiting Guildford.”

“I went to Yvonne Arnaud Theatre to see the show Murder At Midnight starring Max Bowden from EastEnders and I had a wonderful time, it was an incredible experience to see Max and the rest of the cast perform live as it has always been my dream to see Max perform as I have been a fan of his for many years now so it was a special experience for me. We had front row seats which made the experience even more special too. Yvonne Arnaud is a wonderful little venue with great seating for shows and the cafe is lovely too, with delicious food and drinks and beautiful views across the river. The staff are really friendly and helpful too. Thank you Yvonne Arnaud for a wonderful show and for making my dreams come true with watching Max Bowden perform live, I send my gratitude to Max and the rest of the cast of Murder At Midnight for a fantastic show that I will remember forever!”

“We came in on 1st November for our really early Christmas Do. As always Sam and the team were friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was great and the pub was full. We used the app to order so didn’t even need to get up off the table. The food came out promptly, piping hot and was delicious, I couldn’t fault anything. This is a lovely pub with an atmosphere. “Heritage country estate made to feel cozy and personal thanks to amazing staff. Major shoutout to Alexandra who went above and beyond to make our stay feel special. All of the staff treated our stay like it was personal to them. The grounds are second to none in beauty. We recently stayed at Pennyhill Park and thought Wotton House was so much better. It's also super dog friendly, which was just awesome. We will definitely be back!”

“I visited the Guildford Parkway Beefeater restaurant on Wednesday 19th November. I was not particularly hungry so a meal from the children's menu sufficed. This was steak chips, peas and mini corn on the cob. The food was delicious and very promptly served. K-C was my waitress and was extremely professional and polite. That said, this applied to all the staff and the atmosphere was very relaxing. In particular I consider that the meal was excellent value for money at £6-99. As an example, I recently paid £9+ for a McDonald's meal. Food was good, and service prompt,  BUT, as with all such restaurants, I had to eat with my fingers from a paper bag. At the Beefeater, I have a proper plate and cutlery, and service was just as quick as at McDonald's. Also, yesterday, before dining at the Beefeater, I visited my local Costa. Staff are very pleasant, however I paid £12+ for coffee, cheese cake and a toasted sandwich. In other words, almost twice the cost of a "real" Beefeater meal! Plus, again I had to eat with my fingers! So, overall, many thanks and I look forward to my next meal at Guildford Parkway.  Allan Woolston.”
