“Delicious Syrian food made with great ingredients and care (eg use of saffron in sauces). Particularly recommend the baba ghanoush and the Mashi (very unusual, I’ve never seen this before in the UK). Maher is also a super friendly, charismatic host. Strongly recommend.”

“Amazing restaurant! Having read such incredible reviews, I brought my parents here shortly after moving to the area. We love going to nice restaurants together, so I was excited to find one on my doorstep. Wow - the food is amazing - every single morsel just delicious. The flavours were all exceptional, but what makes this place so special is the service. Totally relaxed and informal, but with so much care and attention. We noticed the staff looking after each table beautifully. It’s rare to find a restaurant combining exceptional food with fabulous service. The fact it’s independent is an even bigger bonus. “Extremely disappointed with this place. I chose this place based on the good reviews, but everything arrived stone cold. The chips were stale and tasted as if they’d been fried in old oil. The shawarma wraps were also a huge let down, the sauces were so tangy and overpowering that they completely ruined the flavour. Honestly the worst shawarma I’ve ever had. I spent £41 and couldn’t enjoy any part of the meal. Definitely won’t be ordering again. Save your £ don't bother.”

“Upon arrival i was quickly seen, I was surrounded by 3 business men on lunch and a family of 5 women with a small child who was running around and noisy. So its quite a mixed environment. I ordered quickly a hot drink with salmon and greens. The food came before my drink, after a few minutes my drink came, bit odd as usually drinks arrive before food. The food and drink was delicious, I asked for the bill, and it did take a long time to get to me, but the waitress did apologise. I was sitting by the window on a sunny day, and just wanted to get out to cool down. I wish the bill came quicker.”
