    The Rex Cinema

    ★★★★★ 4.9

“Trip back in time but with modern sound and projection systems. There are plenty of seating options, some with tables. Great prices and customers even took their rubbish with them. The only improvement I could add would be uniforms for the ushers and gold paint for radiators. A truly fabulous experience.”

“we soaked up the charm of the Odyssey Cinema – a true Art Deco treasure in the heart of the city. Stepping into this beautifully restored venue felt like stepping back in time, with its vintage décor and cosy atmosphere adding to the magic of the experience. We had the pleasure of watching Home Alone, the ultimate festive film, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. “Amazing gem, really can't find enough fantastic words to say about the place, the people and my experience! The entrance is actually next to the building and up some stairs, the grocery store under was very helpful in directing me. Super welcoming bar/restaurant atmosphere, with smiling, friendly staff to take care of you. Plenty of food and drink options, including half and half salty/sweet popcorn. The music while waiting was a fabulous selection as well. The theater itself is small and comfortable, great sound and picture quality. But even better than all that was their advertising of local businesses and the fact that they provide a day for people with dementia to enjoy as well. Truly touched my heart.”

“A very reliable source to go to for screening amazing and entertaining docs. There's always something refreshing and interesting screening. Above all, it feels good knowing my money is supporting a heavily underfunded industry, unlike massive budget mainstream movies. Just go to Peckham Plex for those ;) I hope more of these pop up around the country/world, documentaries have a great potential for delivering repetitively amazing stories to your comfy seat.”

    Prince Charles Cinema

“I love this cinema. The staff are so friendly and accommodating! Nothing is too much trouble for them. They even offered store my mother's electric wheelchair in the staff room and I have made friends who have been able to safely store valuables too. The staff make it a very warm and welcoming environment where everyone feels very safe. There are rules but they are for the safety and enjoyment of others. I had a great experience at the wicked sing a long as they turned it into an interactive experience too. I love going to the occasional marathon and think it's great that they send someone out for security during the breaks or even if my friend wants a cigarette break during the film and lock the doors during the films. It attracts a lot of friendly people and I have made good friends there that I now go with to other films and marathon. Even strangers offer to help my mother up and down the stairs and try and buy her drinks and snacks from the bar so she is comfortable. I fully recommend.”

“I always try to visit this cinema when I’m down the smoke. The cinema is, obviously, more expensive then you’re regular multiplex, but it’s a poor comparison. This is a definite cut above. The cinemas are small, but with a huge amount of space around you. You can have food and drink delivered to you when watching, or carry in drinks from the bar. They are always really clean and the staff are, also always, really friendly and very welcoming. An all round great experience.”

“This is probably one of my favourite cinemas in the area. Many people don’t know about it even though it’s close to Leicester Square and Tottenham Court Road. All the screens are located downstairs, the seating is comfortable, and the screens are a good size. It’s a great place to watch a film, and I definitely recommend it.”

“I visited Wood Green Vue Cinema with my daughter. We came for a lunchtime screening, and the cinema was almost empty—just three other people besides us. The film was great, the auditorium was clean, and everything worked perfectly. I had read comments about poor lighting and sound, but we didn’t experience any of that. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend!”

    Tufnell Park Film Club

    ★★★★★ 4.9

“My favourite thing in my local area. Film Club is a lot of fun and a lovely crowd. The films are really wide ranging but they are expertly curated and cover lots of different genres. They are always good but on the intelligent side so tend to be things I'd never get round to watching at home but doing it with friends in a pub gives it that extra bonus. You also get a discount at the pub for being a film club member. The Star is a much superior venue than the last place with much nicer staff!”
