“Amazing dinner at Kudu. From the moment we walked in the staff were warm and friendly. Hastings was a fantastic sommelier who helped us out and Amudu a fantastic waiter. There was also a lovely female member of staff whose name we didn’t catch but she gave fantastic desert advice! The food itself was absolute perfection, flavours, portion size, timing of courses. Everything was truly wonderful! Would recommend this restaurant to anyone as well as going again!”

The Haleem was rich and comforting, and those ginger chunks added a delightful kick. My friend tried the Chana Masala with Lacha Paratha and was genuinely impressed—even though he rarely enjoys much food outside, he truly loved this meal. Hats off to the chef…. A big shoutout to Ruhaan and Murtuza for their exceptional service! They were warm, attentive, and made our dining experience truly memorable. “I recently visited this Mediterranean restaurant with a friend on a Friday afternoon. The place was nearly empty due to covid19. As per the restaurant manager there's more footfall during Mondays to Wednesdays because of 50% off from the benefits of eat out government policy . The food served was fresh and delicious. The service was impeccable. Since there was no one else in the restaurant, social distancing was easily carried out.”

“The restaurant has a nice view on the river as you approach it, the staff is friendly, quick and helpful. They have great portion sizes. I ordered the mixed kebab and sigama boregi which where all very lush, I like that the borek came with some chilli jam and the salad that came w the kebab had pomegranata which was refreshing. Cocktails are great too here, not too strong but also not a faint taste. Honestly, no complaints and I'd 100% return here.”

“I had passed by Gold Mine many times and noticed there always seemed to be a queue of people waiting outside during the day. I checked online and found they are popular for their dim sum but also their roast meat. I decided to pay them a visit as I love duck and pork dishes. My first impression was good as they were happy for me to make a reservation for one person and were very responsive to my requests. I had a three-course meal of Deep Fried Crispy Aromatic Duck, Roast Meat Rice (BBQ Pork and Crispy Pork) and Banana Fritters. I had also planned to have the House Special Bean Curd but had no room after my main course. All the dishes I had were delicious. The duck was probably the best I have ever had. It was crispy on the outside and the meat was not at all dry but succulent. I had no problem finishing all the pancakes. I asked for egg fried rice and it was well cooked, along with the two types of pork. The pork meats were full of flavour but not overpowering. The banana fritters were a great end to the meal. Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The service was also very good. The servers were attentive but not at all intrusive and I did not have to wait very long at all between courses. One thing to note is that the restaurant was rather noisy and not the best place for a quiet or intimate meal. I was glad that I had my noise cancelling headphones with me. I would also recommend making a reservation, as it was very busy. I definitely recommend Gold Mine if you fancy having Chinese cuisine, especially their roast meat dishes. I hope to make another visit soon to try their dim sum, as it looks very good.”

“Popped in recently to test our a pattie, lamb, all good, guy working there was friendly. My partner and I ordered takeaway. Curry goat and jerk chicken with two patties (one veg, one lamb). Fast delivery, fresh and hot, and we aren't close by. Curry goat had great flavour, moist. Spice levels just right. Jerk chicken was decent, good portion. Could do with more sauce, however I know that's a preference. One of the best Caribbean places around. Recommend.”

“Location might not be top but very clean and new: very good value for money. It's possible to reach the location by tube and then walk a little. As it's on a side street, it was quiet in the evening. Yet, there is a big offer of Musslim and Indian kitchen in the surroundings. It looks like it has been recently renovated and the toilet, kitchen and room have been really clean. The size of the room was ok for the price. Small TV and a fairly good internet connection. I have it now as a reference for future stays in London for comparison.”
