“I'm not one for spicy food so would not normally go to a Mexican but heard they do rack of ribs so decided to pop on early on a Friday. The Lady who greeted and served us was very friendly and professional, nothing too much trouble. The food was very good and the ribs best I have had in ages, would highly recommend them. The early evening was quiet but I see they have singers later on Friday and Saturday. As we left the owner said good bye and asked if everything was OK, which was nice. Would go again”

Love the decor of the place nice an relax we always sit in there to eat lovely seating area. The kids love the wraps an the string rolls i love there spicy noodle there so fresh so tasty you can see them cook things up in front of you. “A beloved late-night haunt for me. Hits the spot just right. Disclaimer: I am a vegetarian. I tend to order their sides: the fries, the hash-brown bites, the cheese bites. I may be a niche type of customer but they are perfect for my niche. While the sides may seem incidental to their speciality (kebab) I instead contend they have some of the best selection of late-night vegetarian snacks of any fast-food chain. There is a selection of different sauces/seasonings as well, which is quite fun. The price/quality ratio is reasonable.”

“A great local cafe that offer proper , authentic English breakfast. We have been there seven years ago and when we went there this morning we really enjoyed our breakfast. The service was as great as before, I ordered some toast with my breakfast but forgot to mention not to have any butter on them. when I asked them to see if they cam change it , this lovely lady brought some extra toast immediately which was very nice ( I know some other cafes in the area would probably charge !) . The quality of the breakfast was great, not greasy at all and so fairly priced. Would definitely be going back again.”

“I've lived around the corner in Bermondsey Street for six years and went to Al's Cafe for the first time this week. My partner has been by himself a few times when he says he needs some carbs. On this occasion i decided to go with him and I really enjoyed my veggie breakfast with my fried egg well done as requested. They said we could take our dog inside and gave her a sausage which she ate in a matter of seconds. It's a well executed traditional cafe or greasy spoon serving an array of breakfasts along with sandwiches and jacket potatoes. The service is prompt and super friendly. The interiors are clean and welcoming. On my visit there were a mix of locals, office workers having meetings and tradespeople. It is a great place to enjoy a traditional breakfast which is value for money.”
