“Excellent Food! Unfortunately, I had to wait a long time for my main course. But it's worth it”
“Chase Lodge Hotel is a hidden gem, a wonderful place to stay away from the hustle and bustle of Central London. Lovely rooms, fantastic breakfast and great service from Denise, who is a very kind host.”
“A great place to havr private party or even take a group of friends for a private drink Lovely atmosphere and the food and service was great.”
“I had black Americano and my wife had cappuccino, we both really enjoyed our drinks a lot. My Americano had that light fruity aftertaste that you often only find with very high quality, it was genuinely very delicious. The interior is relaxing, calm and light and we really appreciate the soft music as well, not at all over the top. I love what this place is going for, as I am new to the area it's nice to find a place nearby that I know I can be comfortable in. The woman serving us on Monday 6th was also very kind.”
“Excellent service and delicious food. Spaghetti mare and lasagne accompanied by a carafe of the perfect inky house red.?Desserts also excellent. Only disappointment was the expression and flat white. Bitter and little aroma.”
“Very cosy and warmth, table service available if not too busy, and deco amazing! I found my new favourite pub...! Good selection of drinks and an easy menu.”
“Hidden Gem In Putney I recently visited The Arab Boy and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The atmosphere of the pub is cozy and welcoming, a perfect blend of traditional charm and modern comfort. I ordered the fish and chips, and it was simply divine – crispy on the outside, tender and flavorful on the inside, just as it should be. To complement my meal, I enjoyed a pint of Guinness, which was perfectly poured and served cold. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure that everything was to my liking. Whether you’re looking for a great spot to relax with friends or just want to enjoy some delicious British classics, The Arab Boy is the place to go. I highly recommend it to anyone in the area – you won’t be disappointed!”
“The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The pizza was the best I have had.”
“Amazing location and great service. Definitely recommend specially for a long weekend.”
“Lovely little cafe with delicious food and drinks. The staff were very friendly and constantly made sure we were looked after. We sat in front of the small kitchen area and watched the chef make our meals. A nice experience. We thoroughly enjoyed the dishes which were generous in portions. We completed our brunch with a slice of carrot cake. It was moist and was the least sickly sweet carrot cake I've had so far. Probably the best carrot cake I've ever had. I'd definitely come back again.”
“Alex is fantastic! I was greeted so warmly by everyone downstairs and then Alex upstairs was just great - friendly, really efficient without rushing anyone, knew all about the menu, suggested I download the app and explained the fab rewards (I received free dough balls!). It was incredibly busy and he was calm throughout - every table sparkling clean after guests had gone - it was all under control! Food was fab, piping hot and fresh. Really great! Thank you Alex!”
“I had an excellent experience at Matsuba in Richmond. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt calm, elegant, and welcoming — exactly what I expect from a proper Japanese restaurant. The service stood out immediately. The staff were attentive, polite, and efficient without ever feeling intrusive. I felt genuinely looked after the entire time. The food was outstanding. Every dish was fresh, balanced, and full of clean, precise flavours. You can tell the chefs know what they’re doing — the sushi was perfectly prepared, the hot dishes were rich and comforting, and everything arrived beautifully presented. It’s rare to find this level of consistency. Overall, I left impressed and fully satisfied. Matsuba delivered quality, service, and atmosphere at a very high level. I’ll definitely return.”
“Love, love, love caffè mamma. My favourite is the pollo Milanese - followed by zabaglione, fresh, hot and frothy. Their limoncello spritz is also worth trying. Yum.”
“This is a good branch. Better than the Balham one IMHO. The pizza was cooked really well and thr restaurant is nicely laid out.”
“We’ve visit The Britannia several times over the past few years (every time we visited Richmond) and the experience was great every single time. On our most recent visit we tried the cheese soufflé, the fish and chip and the turbot. Every dish was delicious, fish on both mains was cooked to perfection, service was friendly and courteous. Wine list is great as well. Highly recommend for a great night out and exceptional food experience.”
“Staff here is great! They have a tapas lunch special during the day. 3 tapas for £13.5 The Smoked chicken croquettes were good, the king prawn comes with lots of chorizo though it doesn't quite come together, and the trio of mushrooms (3 types of mushrooms cooked/boiled together) was okay though excessively salted. Still worth the money but not high end though perfect for us as a small lunch meal for 2.”
“The pizza had a variety of ingredients which all complemented the overall taste. My family and I really enjoyed the pizza. I recommend this pizza place to others. Thank you”
“Amazing, have studied here a few times and is a perfect environment.”
“Nice little restaurant near the Putney bridge and Thames, food is simple but delicious, carbonara and the ciabitta toasted are both recommended, friendly atmosphere and neighorhood and plenty of parking on sunday for a relaxing afernoon”
“This is the happiest I've ever been at a hotel. Stayed for 6 nights. The bed was amazingly comfortable. Pillows were fantastic (two size options - yay!). The staff is so friendly. Easy check-in and check out. You are close to your neighbors but I didn't hear anyone. The window opened all the way for fresh air. There was also the Eur slot vent with the option to open or close, and an A/C (though I didn't try the A/C). The TV included a handful of channels and the option to login with Netflix. The blackout curtains worked really well (helpful for jet lag). Hot water was hot, water pressure was great. Waterfall and hand held showerheads. The location is walkable to two different train stations. Even in the middle of the night people were walking the streets regularly. It felt very safe. Local pubs had friendly vibes. Hotel bar had travelers in it regularly working or sipping on cocktails. Room came with cotton rounds (yay!), Qtips, shower cap (yay!), hair dryer, body wash, shampoo, conditioner from a good brand. Iron was available on request. Laundry services are a one-day turnaround, drop off morning, get it back at night. Sink basin closes should you need to hand wash. Complimentary tea and coffee in the room. The tea was particularly yummy. The coffee was Nepresso with a variety of pods. The fridge included snacks and alcohol for cost, prices listed. The room also has a safe. The whole hotel was very clean. To set expectations, the room is smaller compared to maybe what someone in the US would be used to (it's London after all). Hangers and one small drawer for your clothes. No full length mirror and no where to place anything in the shower (ie your razor). The shower's a bit tight. No lifts (again it's London) but they are happy to help you with your bags. This place just had a great vibe and getting a good night's sleep is such a privilege when traveling. Highly Recommend.”
“We had an afternoon shindig at Mamma Mia's after my dad's funeral as it was the place Mike and Betty loved most in EastSheen. Rosa's Puglia inspired food was wonderful, and Leo kept our glasses of Chilled Prosecco topped up, bless him. Can't recommend it enough.”
“Amazing serving and amazing food. I had the penne salmon and it was melt in your mouth good! The house wine recommended was good as well. I didn’t taste the pizza but during my visit there it was a hot commodity and smelled amazing. Make sure you visit!!! It’s worth it”
“This was my first time dining here, and I was impressed with the quality of my meal. The staff were friendly, the service was speedy, and the atmosphere was relaxed but vibrant. I would recommend Kurk Grill Bar for a light evening meal and catch-up with friends. The portions are just right, so one felt sufficiently satisfied and not over-full, and the prices were more than reasonable.”
“Great stay, lovely staff. Clean modern room. Nice pool. Breakfast not too busy even at peak time and hot fresh food. Location not particularly close to much public transport but that won’t be an issue for everyone”
“The best almond croissant I've ever eaten! Coffee is very good. Service is prompt and very friendly.”
“Nestled near the serene Kew Gardens, Café Macarong is a cozy gem that delivers a delightful mix of comfort food with a modern twist. The menu boasts an array of crowd-pleasers, including dupbap (a Korean rice bowl topped with flavorful ingredients), poke rice, and crispy fried chicken, all crafted with care and bursting with flavor. During our visit, we ordered the beef dupbap, salmon poke, and tuna poke, and each dish was a standout. The beef dupbap was hearty and satisfying, with tender beef layered over perfectly cooked rice, elevated by the café’s signature wasabi soybean sauce that added a subtle, savory kick. The salmon and tuna poke bowls were equally impressive, with fresh, vibrant ingredients harmonized by a spicy mayonnaise dressing that brought just the right amount of heat and creaminess. Every bite felt balanced and thoughtfully prepared, showcasing the kitchen’s knack for blending bold flavors with comfort. To top it all off, we sipped on their latte, which was surprisingly excellent—smooth, well-balanced, and the perfect complement to the meal. The inviting ambiance and friendly service only added to the experience, making Café Macarong a must-visit for anyone craving comforting yet elevated dishes near Kew Gardens. I’ll definitely be back to explore more of their menu!”
“The best chinese I've ever ever eaten, and i consider my self a chinese connoisseur,so i know my stuff when it comes to chinese food, worth travelling 250mile for, that's for sure.100 percent home made food ,highly highly recommended, will definitely come again !”
“Came here for our work Christmas lunch and couldn’t have chosen a better place. The atmosphere was warm, festive, and beautifully balanced …lively without being overwhelming, making it easy to relax and enjoy the moment. Bavinchi truly elevated the experience with his attentiveness, kindness, and calm professionalism. He made us feel genuinely welcome and cared for from start to finish, which added a special touch to the whole afternoon. A wonderful place to celebrate together.”
“A decent pub, I liked it. Probably because of its proximity to the park, the pub was crowded on Sunday, with as many dogs as people. I was also with my dog, so the atmosphere was pleasant. My friends and I sat by the fireplace with a fire, and in the hall, there was a faint smell of smoke, and the dull crackling of logs in the fire could be heard. The Sunday roast was delicious. I liked the half chicken, though the potatoes weren't tasty. The cider is the best you can get, Aspal. A wonderful Sunday before Christmas. I recommend that you visit here too.”
“A neighbourhood pub, that we have frequented over the years. I love the homely, cosy interior, and the staff are very lovely. Often just to have a drink. But we recently discovered that they also do pretty good food. Portion sizes for the dishes are also generous. They provide snacks to nibble on as well like toasted bread and butter, and veggie crisps. But one thing to note is that this is not somewhere you go if you are in a hurry. It looks like they have a very small crew. The food service is very slow, we were waiting for about an hour before our main courses showed up, even when the pub was not even full, and we had come in off-peak times.”
