βIMPRESSIVE A LEVEL RESULTS 2019 There were lots smiling faces today at Bancroftβs this morning. After the long 6 weeks wait for this yearβs A Level results. We are delighted to report that 65.8% of all A levels taken were graded at either A* or A grade with 85.2% of them at grades A*, A or B. All eleven of the students who held offers from either Oxford or Cambridge have had their places confirmed, with the majority of other pupils achieving the necessary grades for their first choice universities. The main feeling amongst the pupils seemed to be relief that the stress had come to an end and that they can now get on with their summer and their futures. Theva said βIβm just glad it is all over, I can relax now.β Joseph offered some advice for next yearβs cohort, βDo something the day before β just take your mind off things. And stay off social media, there are too many rumours about grade boundaries!β Many pupils did better than they had expected; Eloise was celebrating her 3 A*s and place at Bristol, βIβm really shocked. I was busy looking up clearing yesterday and I thought I had been given the wrong results envelope this morning.β Tom shared her joy, βIβve done way better than I thought. I honestly thought I had failed and didnβt expect to do this well (A*, A, A) so Iβm taking up my place for English and History at Sheffield. Caroline said that she resorted to watching Netflix throughout the night as she couldnβt sleep; her fears were unfounded as she achieved the grades needed for her International Business with French degree in Edinburgh. Head Simon Marshall said, βWeβd like to congratulate our leavers of 2019 who have achieved impressive results this year. The new reformed, linear A Levels aim to be demanding and challenging, and we are delighted that so many of our leavers have done so well and have obtained places at their chosen universities.β
βHaving attended merryhills for 7 years I have made loads of friends and learnt so much. They gave a good well rounded education and prepared me for secondary school. All of the teachers are nice and very good at teaching. I was given lots of different opportunities in sport e.g. Football (I went to Tottenham training ground a number of times) Athletics and district sports. The school were very fair and I loved my time at merryhills.β

βIf you want your child nurtured, looked after, encouraged to grow and learn in a safe and secure environment, Kintore Way is all of this and much, much more. Having had 3 children attend, over a total period of 12 years, we could not be happier with the care they have all received alongside the invaluable support and advice that we as parents have received over the years from all of the staff, from nappy training to food fussiness, their advice is always well informed and offered both freely and kindly. In terms of continuity, we are amazed that many of the staff caring for our 2 year old daughter today, are the same staff who looked after our (almost) 13 year old son from the age of 7 months in the baby unit (now closed). This is a clear indication, in an industry renowned for a high turnover of staff, that this is good place to work, that staff enjoy caring for the children, take immense pride in the huge roles that they play in the childrenβs development and also that management understand the value of this team, that they support and encourage them. This comes across in the welcoming friendly atmosphere that is always present at Kintore Way. The facilities are secure, spotlessly clean and well maintained, the garden area is always used to its full potential, the children have a wide choice of activities to undertake both indoors and outdoors and are encouraged to do so. Any achievements , however big or small, are praised and always recognised. My daughter loves it as much today as her brothers did 13 years and 7 years ago, itβs part of our family story, even I attended nearly 4 decades ago! I could go onβ¦β¦. but in summary, if you are looking for an amazing nursery, with the most caring, loving, encouraging and professional staff, who take pride in their role nurturing and preparing your child for the next step of their journey into education, primary school, youβve found it.β
βIts an amazing school, the staff are very friendly and helpfulβ
βWonderful school and extremely supportive teachers. I highly recommend the school.β
βAn absolutely brilliant nursery with lovely staff who toke amazing care of of the children. We have sent both of our 2 daughters to Tunstall Nursery over the last 5 years and have been super happy with it. From day one we knew it was a safe loving place to leave our kids. If there were more stars than 5 to leave I would leave more!β

βA great school where my daughter is allowed to grow up being protected by outside influences but also taught how to adapt within the world we live in as she grows up.β
βI go Bow secondary school now, I'm in yr 8 and I just wanted to say how amazing the school is.The teachers and staff are REALY kind and I'm super glad that was able to be part of their wonderful communityβ
βAs a new student of Little Ilford School, I believe that a specific individual called Ms Karim has made things easier for me. This was due to the numerous times I came to her for help in which she was willing to help me. Ms karim is an amazing teacher and I find it extremely appauling that someone could speak so negatively towards her. Little Ilford School has helped me improve in all subjects but particularly Citizenship. Thanks to Ms Karim.β
βI love his school I miss it soooo much I didn't get to say bye eitherβ
βMy daughter attends there and it is amazing no bully and really supporting teacher I recommend this schoolβ
βI rate this school a five star as I finished in 2017 and it was the best.β
βThis school was absolutely amazing! I went to this school from i think...2009-2015 and when i was there we had the best headteacher ever who gave us amazing oppurtunities, like how i was one of the students that got to interview the band union j face-to-face, he was also very humorous, and of course knew how to disipline the kids -shoutout to you Mr Smith, for making my experience there amazing! Sadly he is not there anymore as he has retired. On the other hand though, in school i did have some issues with timing in numerous subjects, which the teachers failed to realise that i would need extra support and time in exams, but i did not get this which meant that it made a huge impact on my SATs results. Fortunately i now have extra time in secondary school, which will help in my GCSE'sβ
βi dont really know any thing about this school, but my friend friend said its the bestβ
βInspirational management, partnership with parents and most importantly massive love for children. I worked a term in Kensington Primary as a teacher and gained an unforgettable experience.β
βI cannot praise this Nursery and their staff enough! My son only took a week to get settled, he absolutely felt the love and warmth from the staff and amazing atmosphere delivered by the staff. Folu is the most outstanding Nursery manager I have ever come across or spoken to, she treats all the children like her own and every single member of staff is fantastic. Communication is great, both informal and formal. All staff took time to get to know my son, they know his likes, dislikes and encouraged him to make friends, which his previous nursery didn't do, and he isn't just a number on the books he is an actual valued part of this nursery, just like all of the children. I know my son is safe in this environment and honestly I cannot express in words how amazing the staff and the structure is. My son notices when any one member of staff is on leave and he gets excited seeing Folu and all the staff. That's how I know he is loved and cared for amazingly. My son knows the days of the week, he knows the 12 months of the year and even all the seasons and all this has been from this nursery; from the playful way they teach the children. The staff encourage reading and ask for families to do certains tasks at home alongside what they're doing at the nursery. I could keep writing about how much I love this nursery! But I'll end this review with the following: My son previously attended an " Ofsted outstanding" nursery, and it was an unsafe, uncaring and robotic environment, where they didn't practice safeguarding correctly. Thankfully we found Kiddiecare and moved his here! And Kiddiecare IS outstanding in my opinion, whether they have the Ofsted rating or not. My child is safe, secure, cared for by loving individuals, he is happy and thriving and Safeguarding and child happiness is the main priority here! If you want that for your child, I'd highly recommend this nursery. Thank you Folu and the whole team for being so amazing!β
βExcellent fitness and gym facilities. Always polite, professional and helpful staff on hand to help if needed.β
βBest school My kids go to it and the teachers and the head and all other staff amazing. Thank you so muchβ
βGreat place to send your child! Amazing staff that have developed a wonderful culture for children to learn and thrive in!β
