“Wonderful calming atmosphere - nice furniture, good lighting, Classic FM gently playing. But not the place to go if you're in a rush! I visited a couple months ago and will return soon. The owner makes lovely strong coffee (I had the macchiato, so I'm sure there are gentler brews!) and takes great care in making sandwiches to order. He's an elderly guy so he's quite slow, but I didn't mind at all. And all for such a low price that I forgot I was even in London!!”

“I have been to this pub a few times.since the new manager took over (i think he has been managing for around 8 months now). They are a very friendly community based team. Today for example a lady in a wheel chair was outside and asked me.to let.thr staff kmow she needed help. Thr manager immediately let.me tell him even though he was really busy. Came out straight away and mads the lady feel special and supported. He even tried to find a comfy seat available for her and one that was not high. When I have been here before the manager was again very chatty and explained he wamts customers.tk feel special and valued. He certainly has achieved this. The ither staff also are friendly and always approachable. You will be served here quickly as they make customers a priority.the food is amazing too.”

“Attended first Sunday lunch offering at Naughty Neighbour, the restaurant attached to Lawrence Arms. Started with a nice local beer, then the roast belly of pork with all the veg; also ordered the roast beef. All hot, tasty, filling, plus excellent hot gravy. We had booked and there were a few walkins. Finished with great apple crumble. Good value for money too, and reasonably priced wines.”

“AMAZING staff, so lovely and friendly, we did a fab deal for snacks with a soft drink, popcorn and little sweet/savoury pot for £9! We went to see Sinners on a Monday at 2pm and were the only people in the screening, comfy seats and lovely and clean :) Tickets were £14 each, absolutely worth it and would now always choose over a chain cinema!”

“My partner and I were recommended to try this restaurant for my birthday yesterday.(6.8.25 Jamaica independence day. So glad we did! It was a great experience from the moment we walked through the door.The food was AMAZING, great taste, flavour, presentation. BTW my partner is fussy when it comes to food, especially being a fellow Jamaican who can cook, he found no fault and was complimentary from the moment he tasted his starter through to the desert. Stopped by for breakfast coming from Bexley including a "small" English which was a good plateful by any standards, and the Tuna Priest Club was absolutely divine - the three big layers is a meal in itself and will keep you going all day. Great quality food for an absolute steal anywhere let alone the leafy south east London enclave of Hither Green. A refreshing change to too many places that take pleasure in charging you over the odds for average food. Staff are all pleasant and super efficient. Do have a stop off if you are ever passing through the area, it's also definitely worth coming out your way from anywhere surrounding, Manor Park is a lovely little oasis.”

“Little bit quirky, but of all the hotels I've stayed in this area, this is my favourite by far. The only downside was the breakfast if you are vegetarian/vegan. No non dairy yogurts and the lovely chef had to bake me a couple vegan croissants. No labels on anything so had to guess whether they were vegan or not. Obvs of you don't care then not a problem!!”
