Not 5 minutes into entering the building the bartender and other patrons began chatting with us about the history of the pub and its regulars, immediately welcoming us to their little family. Everyone knows everyone and the environment feels so warm and familiar it's more akin to chatting with friends in your living room than strangers in a bar (For my fellow Boston residents it was like witnessing an episode of Cheers in real time).
