“I visited The Old Shepherd for the first time on Saturday evening and was very impressed with everything about it. The decor and lighting help to create a great atmosphere along with the helpful and friendly staff and welcoming locals. The quality, portion size and value of the food was outstanding, I ordered a veggie burger which was the best i've ever been served in a pub and the fries were delicious too. I'm told there's live music now on most Saturdays and the artist playing was of a very high standard. Highly recommended venue worth travelling to.”

“Different from a typical High Street kebab takeaway but all the better for that difference - dropped one star on service but only because they were absurdly busy which is a sign of their popularity, which in turn is a reflection of their quality. Beautifully marinated and cooked chicken shish, oven roasted, best pita bread I've ever had and great selection of salad and sauces - plus what I can only describe as the best roast chips I've ever had. £11.35 for large chicken shish in pita. Will be returning without doubt. Kind of hard to mark a takeaway on 'atmosphere' - it was fine for the 15 minutes I was sat waiting!”

“We’ve been coming to Le Moulin for some fifteen years and have never been disappointed. We’ve ordered the most beautiful celebratory cakes and the pastries at this lovely little patisserie are exquisite. The cafe has a lovely homely atmosphere and the owners are always welcoming. We have tried many other menu items and they are always well prepared. We love the charm of Le Moulin and always look forward to returning.”

“I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. Everything was fresh, tasty, and beautifully presented. The restaurant itself was very clean, including the toilets, which shows great attention to detail and hygiene. The staff provided excellent service — friendly, attentive, and professional. Even the manager Saman came by to check on our table many times and make sure everything was perfect. It’s clear they truly care about their customers. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and great service!”

“A Portuguese cafe was not the most obvious choice for my first English breakfast in London for 5 years, but it was perfect. A huge plate of good quality ingredients (proper sausages, bacon etc) washed down by an ocean of tea. All for less than a tenner! Fast and friendly staff too and they clearly have a regular clientele. Deservedly so.”

“What to say about this place. Loved their hospitality and so as their food. We had idli chutney sambar and Chicken curry parotta. You get 5 idlis and 3 parrottas in the respective dishes. Both costed us just £9. Portions were good. Value for money. And special mention for their complimentary evening Chai. It was such a warm feeling being offered the tea like you visiting your friends or family. Will surely try other dishes in coming days. PS - Food was so yumm and smelled delicious that we couldn’t resist eating the moment we served. Pictures are Surely for the next time.”

“An incredible North London pub, steeped in history and beautiful inside. There are several areas to explore in the pub, Including a few snugs and a larger space with a big screen too. The real crowd-puller is of course the outside terrace with multiple levels of seating. It gets crowded so you may need to wait, but once you've got a table it's going to be a great afternoon.”

“Fantastic Sunday roast. The Alma Trio (beef, pork and chicken) was huge and delicious but you need a very big appetite for it, like mine! Massive Yorkshire puddings, cabbage, red cabbage, great roast potatoes and carrots. We also had a side of cauliflower cheese and pigs in blankets as well, both of which were very nice. I had the sticky toffee cheesecake for dessert as well which was delicious too!”

“Good old fashioned pub that seems to draw in a friendly Irish crowd too, as the night we went there were mostly Irish gentlemen sitting at the bar. The bar staff are pleasant and friendly, and there is a respect of first come first served at the bar, so no one jumps ahead of you, which sadly seems to be lost in a lot of places. A great pub for a local drink or to start the night, and even if you stay you'd have a great time too! A well run pub and we'll definitely be back”

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’ve been coming to On Fries since it first opened, and it’s been amazing watching the business grow. Run by Nigel but has Cam and Kyle always delivering top service. Honestly, it’s the best steak and fries I’ve had cooked perfectly every time and topped off with their signature green sauce, which I now buy to use at home! Can’t wait to start pairing it with other meals because it works so well with steak. Highly recommend”

“Wr canme in for the Sunday roast and ordered a pie and a roast beef Sunday roast for 3 people. Both portions were massive, we could get away with ordering one normal and one kid's portion. The manager/bartender was very attentive and pationate. Everything was super tasty. There were hardly any people, the tables and the floors were clean.”

Service was super friendly, the lively environment without being too noisy and the selection of honest drinks in addition to classic pub snacks, such as fish & chips and highly praised burgers. The experience was charming, easy to relax and feel the true local spirit, even being in Camden.”
