“(Writing on behalf of customer who asked us to share this)... I chose Green on the Green to create the main family floral tribute to my husband last week. I spent time with both Natasha and Sally at their shop who inspired me with their ideas and suggestions for suitable flowers. I wanted something very natural to reflect my husband’s farming career and they excelled themselves to produce the most glorious arrangement which took my breath away and many others besides.. Their attention to detail was amazing with many little touches like blackberries and herbs. They had just caught it so right and it has even lasted well with a bit of misting and I am enjoying it almost a week later. They were both very friendly and compassionate .. nothing was too much trouble and I shall certainly be visiting them more regularly in the future, Gill Wade”

“What a lovely place! The Drawing Room has such a warm, welcoming vibe. The staff are incredibly friendly and really go out of their way to make you feel at home. The food is great, and they’re very kid-friendly, which makes it perfect for a relaxed family outing. One of my favourite things is their beautiful tea cups—such a charming touch that makes the whole experience feel special. The cakes are absolutely delicious, and the scones are fresh and just perfect with cream and jam. Definitely one of those hidden gems that you’ll want to come back to. Highly recommend! Rating: 5/5”

“Always a great experience with excellent results. Tracey always listens to what I want in terms of colour, styling, length etc. she’ll also offer advice if I’m undecided, or if she thinks of other options I might not have considered. The result is always great and the experience relaxing and enjoyable. I really think Tracey cares about her clients and wants them looking and feeling great every time. I have appointments with Tracey every 5-6 weeks and drive an hour each way as I just wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair.”

“I recently visited this Mediterranean restaurant with a friend on a Friday afternoon. The place was nearly empty due to covid19. As per the restaurant manager there's more footfall during Mondays to Wednesdays because of 50% off from the benefits of eat out government policy . The food served was fresh and delicious. The service was impeccable. Since there was no one else in the restaurant, social distancing was easily carried out.”

The staff are so friendly with a real family vibe, and having lived in the area all my life I would say this restaurant has never lost its quality and a real asset to our community ! If ever anyone was passing through Orpington I would recommend making a stop here - will not be disappointed !”

“What an absolutely incredible experience I had finding this random gem in Orpington when out with my mum on May 3rd bank holiday. This was before restrictions were lifted so we were seated outside but given blankets to wrap up in, and had the most amazing service from our waitress Karina! She was so attentive and just a star!! It was soooo windy but that didn’t dampen our experience whatsoever. We each had a managal combo plate (spicy chicken and lamb chops which were humongous) with bulgur wheat, spicy rice, and 2 types of salad. The home made bread was lush. Cooked to perfection and even given mint tea and baklava on the house after! Couldn’t recommend this place more and thank you Ozzy for stopping to chat with us after! And Karina for being such a genuine sweetheart when catering to us. Can’t wait to come back for my mums birthday, delicious food, fantastic prices, and fabulous staff!”

“Ho comprato una casa in Italia : Inverigo (Como, Lombardia). Allora, Il Primo Caffe ed un piacere mangiare qui. E veramente un Caffe Italiano Autentico, buonissimo espresso, tutti quanti mangia bene ogni volta, senza dubio. Amazing super friendly and genuine Italian proprietor. The young Italian “Bossman” and myself talk in Italian and his passion and love for his venue is obvious to see. I bought a Summer home in Inverigo (a province of Comi about 20 miles North of Milan in 2005) and our Family try to go on vacation there every year. Highly recommend Primo Caffe without a doubt it is the BEST COFFEE and serves a beautiful selection of Authentic Italian food, in Orpington. Caveat : it can get SUPER BUSY (which is a good sign of an excellent venue). Ciao”

“Wow! Amazed today coming into the five bells It’s been taken over by new owners and they are absolutely lovely! Me and my partner got the bells beef burger each with bacon and cheese bacon was perfectly crispy burger was lovely! Was sooo nice. And we got onion rings too honestly amazing food and such a lovely family pub. Have play slides for the kids a huge garden nicely decorated. Such a warm feeling when walking in we have now booked in for a Sunday roast. And can’t wait to try it, also the house wine is divine and got price! This will now be our ongoing local. X”

“Absolute little gem in Green Street Green. Had 4 lunches this week and loved every single one. Menu is so different from all the rest of the other cafés. Plenty of vegetarian options to choose from. Had a different dessert every day, felt spoilt for choice. The best carrot cake I've ever eaten, and the blondie and the brownie... My partner had not fried, but baked big breakfast and absolutely LoVe it. Noticed owner knew his customers by name, very special for me. And the coffee is indeed the best. We will miss not working in the area and getting fed by Belmondo”

“A really lovely local pub.We received a warm welcome from the Land Lady (on my very first visit today) and from the regulars who constantly fed my Golden Retriever with treats. Next time, I won't bother to feed him beforehand!! I will certainly be returning, especially as it's in walking distance.”
