“We live just up the road and thought it was a greasy spoon. How wrong we were. Poached is a postage stamp size gourmet breakfast restaurant. The menu is innovative. The service is warm and friendly. That totally know their coffee (fresh roasted beans on sale here too). A delightful place for breakfast (and probably lunch too. As a bonus they have a live train times board and do takeaways. 5 stars all the way.”

“The other day I went to visit a friend of mine in North London, and we decided to stop by a pub for a couple of drinks and some food. We came across The Westbury, and the atmosphere honestly blew me away. It’s a warm, cozy pub with lovely staff. Natali and the lady with bangs were incredibly friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. I’ll definitely be coming back to this pub again!”

The specialty coffee here is outstanding — rich, balanced, and expertly brewed. You can tell they really care about quality and craft. They also have a great selection of specialty beans to take home. I picked up a bag of their Yirgacheffe from Ethiopia as a present — it’s bright, aromatic, and full of character. “Came to Publiq for a dinner with friends. We arrived half hour early and the staff were welcoming and happy to sit us down as there was space available. Staff continued to be attentive throughout us being there. Both food (small plates style) and white wine were delicious. On the food front I would recommend a small plate, a side and a snack as sufficient to feel satisfied. A little on the pricy side, some menu items felt more value for money than others, for example steak for £23 felt good value whilst a burrata salad for £18 not so much. I guess the prices can be expected give the location however, so it doesn’t feel like something to reduce the rating from 5 to 4 star. Nice venue with a private feeling to it. Recommend for a nice dinner when you find yourself in the area.”

“Have been to this lovely place a number of times over the years. Recently I’m really enjoying the veggie breakfast and have ordered it a few times (I’m not vegetarian). Highly recommend it, and compliments to the chef. The service staff are always so accommodating and asks about food allergies from the get go. “My partner and I go here frequently for the Sunday ‘buffet’. We get a mix of two starters and choice of 4 mains plus sides. Loads of high quality food for a great price! Our favourites are choyela chicken for starter, piro lamb for main and hariyo mismass for side. Also the naan bread is divine! Unfortunately they haven’t had the piro lamb as one of the 4 main options the past handful of times we’ve been. Hopefully tomorrow is the day it returns to the selection!”
