“I got there just as it opened at midday. Staff are super friendly. I didn't have anything to eat so I can't comment on that. Old Speckled Hen was in good condition, good to come to a pub that can serve ale in good condition right at the start of day. I friend told me about the staff. What staff? Oh, such ignorance, my apologies. Gents are upstairs, a steep climb, but soap in dispenser and everything in order.”

“Came here on a pub tour with my wife for our honeymoon. Loved the cider and fish and chips we had, the batter wasn’t too thick and the chips were very crispy. They washed down nicely with the tartare sauce and vinegar and were perfectly complemented by the cider. Very refreshing especially on a hot summer’s day!”

“We held a wake at the pub before it opened at 3.00pm. It was an excellent venue with first class food and service. Arun made sure our requirements were met for the day in question and nothing was too much trouble. Once the pub opened we had a large quiet area reserved for us to one side of the pub for those that needed to stay longer. Well recommended for any private gathering or event.”

“The food and atmosphere was great. They even took the poo out the shrimp which is a win for me. The decor was pretty and aesthetic. We were served by victor he was lovely and very vibrant. The ‘pink fluffy drink’ was cute and packed a punch. The nachos share platter was very nice. The ‘mac melt’ is a delightful. The only bad thing i would say is the coleslaw was room temperature and tasted a bit old but it didn’t really make a difference.”

“We needed somewhere to celebrate a life. We were lucky enough to choose Lisa's bar at the Stockley Park Golf Clubhouse. They provided a really good buffet for around 100 guests. We were able to display some memories on a TV screen. The service and everything about the day made a very sad occasion as pleasant as possible. Staff were all great.
