“Went here last Thursday as heard they did a good quiz night. Had a burger and a couple of pints of Guinness zero; burger was top notch, proper gourmet stuff and we really enjoyed the quiz, we somehow won! Only downside was that it was a bit quiet, probably helped us win the quiz though. Staff were great, very friendly and welcoming.”

From the moment we were seated, Rohit went above and beyond to make our dining experience truly special. No matter how many questions we had about the menu, ingredients, or even recommendations, Rohit was always there with a friendly smile and a detailed answer. Their knowledge of the menu was impressive, and they patiently explained everything we needed to know, making sure we felt comfortable with our choices. Whether it was dietary restrictions, customization requests, or even just curious inquiries about the dishes, they were attentive and accommodating every step of the way. What really stood out was their genuine enthusiasm for making our experience enjoyable. They checked on us regularly, ensuring our needs were met without being overbearing. “I had an amazing afternoon at The Store. The service was outstanding. The manager was welcoming and kind. I came to do some work during their Friday hotdesk session. She let me know where the sockets were for my laptop, welcomed me to make myself comfortable, and kept checking if I was okay. I ended up eating from the hotdesk menu, where you can get unlimited coffee. I had two meals, both were really nice and well presented. I called my brother to join me because it was so nice and he came and we had cocktails to end a successful work session. They were delicious also. It was fairly quiet in there. When I first arrived there was a lovely mum and baby club at the back in a separate space, so there was plenty of space to sit and feel comfortable. I usually use headphones when I’m out but the vibe was good and the music was comforting so I didn’t use my headphones. The restaurant was clean with a good atmosphere and stunning decor. I felt really focused. The lights that hang over the tables could do with a wipe though, as there was some dirt that looked like it might fall into the table. One of those things that once you see it, you can’t unsee it. Overall it was a brilliant spot and I will be visiting much more regularly now. Highly recommended.”

“I've found this spot some time ago, frankly it needs a mention. Easily one of the most under rated venues in Croydon. The staff are down to earth, helpful and add a vibrant splash of colour to the place, those they come into contact with love them. “Went here for a birthday dinner and wasn't expecting a good time due to the current circumstances, but we was pleasantly surprised. We were seen promptly, and was greeted by staff who were positive and making us laugh constantly. The food came quite speedily, and was cooked to great standards, especially the ribs and the burger. The service and delivery was spot on. Will definitely recommend. Special shout-out to Shannen who was an amazing waiter.”

“We went for my son’s 9th birthday and everything was great. My son loved the food and he is a fussy eater! He ate the tomato pasta with garlic bread. Six people came including three adults and three children. Two children ate adult meals and all rated 5*s. I loved the atmosphere and the chef and waitress were amazing and attentive. I ate the seafood spaghetti and I enjoyed it i would say 4 out of 5. The pizza looked amazing and the calamari are definitely the two that stood out and we all took a liking to. My seat did need a shake to remove a little mess and the table had minor crumbs. Otherwise the table was ready when we arrived as I called ahead. All was put right quickly and we all very much enjoyed the meal.”

“The overall dining experience was truly delightful, and the food comes in very generous portions. I ordered the Lamb Cutlets, which is my preferred dish at every restaurant I visit, and the serving here was easily the best size I have ever encountered. The dish consisted of four substantial pieces, and the portion was definitely satisfying. I left the restaurant feeling completely full and content. I would highly recommend this establishment and plan to visit again soon. The staff was also friendly and exceptionally helpful, adding to the overall positive atmosphere.”

“Not been here before. Pleasantly surprised! It's actually a nice little place. Suited to the beer and cider lover, there's a huge selection. No food other than snacks. Unisex WC. If you're thinking of getting there by tram to Beddington Lane and the 463 bus, get off instead at Therapia Lane and there are 2 bus routes to choose from: the S4 and the 463. They're not from the same bus stop, so check your live bus arrivals app while on the tram to decide which one to go for.”

“The only bar worth visiting in Croydon if you enjoy craft beer. Excellent range of beers both on tap and in the fridge. They usually have food available at weekends, and on weekdays you’re welcome to bring food in. Knowledgable staff.”

“Ive been to this wee local pub a few times, always friendly and good banter! Its nice to get away from the hussle an bussle of the high street of croydon tho your only just around the corner.. wee places like this are becoming very rare and in time will eventually be pushed out by other big clubs/pubs doing student nights and cheap drinks night, this pub seems to have a loyal community following and long may it last! Ill definitely be back.”

“I flew here from Melbourne where you can't find Foster's on tap anywhere (go figure!). The beer is great, and most are pulled from a traditional pump. The fish and chips is up there with the the best I've had. This place vibes like I would hope every little street pub would vibe. It's a shame I have to fly back home to the other Croydon in Melbourne.”

“Ponte Nuovo has got to be the best Italian in Croydon. A great selection of starters, the bread and oil is so simple yet incredibly moreish, and the main courses are full of flavour and depth. Big big portions. Save space for the deserts, the gigantic profiteroles in a sea of chocolate sauce, the insanely rich tiramisu. Staff are very friendly and speak highly of the italian chef and kitchen staff; a sure sign of a good front of house/back of house team relationship. Service was perfect, meals bought out together and well presented. This is somewhere you bring family for a great dinner. At this time of year it had a good but not overpowering christmas decorative theme. We're going back soon.”
