Authentic taste in Manchester

“Great bar in the heart of the city. Food chooses really great, had the grill of the day - creamy chickpeas with chicken. Mushroom filled scotch egg also great. Espresso martini good. Service great and prices fair. Would visit again.”

“Good, honest Thai food. We've lived in the area for about five years and this is the best take away by far. I normally order the Tamarind Duck which is always great but I fancied a change. I tried the Larb Moo (minced pork salad) instead and it was exceptional. I always order the honey spare ribs and Thai fish cakes as sides/starters and they never disappoint. Tom Kha Gai is also great.”

“Very good service from the waiters. The food is pretty good. The fried chicken has a lovely coating and is very crispy with very juicy meat underneath. The coconut rice is fragrant with coconut but also it is not sticky. A very interesting texture I don't usually have. The sambal taste amazing. Lovely flavours of the anchovies. The chicken satay was the best I had so far compared to the supermarket stuff. Proper char and the peanut sauce taste great. I'm really happy that the sambal was not spicy not because I can't tolerate spice but it's because I can taste the flavours. Not a criticism but the price is very high. So if you got the money, go for it.”

“Great food with a homely taste and affordable price. Worth trying We went as a group of 4 and tried pothi chor, chatti chor, kappa biriyani, appam and chicken stew. The rice dishes are really good and taste really fresh. Also tried their tea, coffee and lime juice.all were nice and the portion size meals and drinks are great. The service and the friendly attitude of the staff were amazing.”

“Had a lovely family meal here, and the staff were so friendly and accomodating. Management here is clearly exceptional, as the service was very quick and everyone was very polite and helpful. A special mention to Rob who went above and beyond for my family, making sure all the food and drinks were ok (I can confirm they were delicious). “This is the best curry takeaway I've ever had, it's so good I've decided to make SK Spice my new regular curry house. Only improvement would be if they added a tofu option on some curries, but every vegetable curry we ordered was fantastic. Do yourself a favour and order an SK Spice tonight, don't delay!”

“I was put off coming here to eat because of some of the reviews but decided to try it tonight as I am on a course and in Manchester for 6 weeks . I had the kebab sandwich with donner kebab and lamb seekh kebab and a side portion of chips . I ordered online and collected myself . The kebab and chips were amazing , 5 star all the way . Really hot and fresh and good quality food . The restaurant is immaculately clean , you could eat off the floor . The man who served me was lovely , polite and helpful. I was £15 for my meal and it was enough for 2 people so very reasonable in price . I will definitely be back . It has also taught me not to rely on reviews from others as my experience was a 5 star one yet other reviews are very different . I would highly recommend , give it a go and make your own mind up . “The greatest takeaway in Manchester dare I say the north west. The "Pure giant Dog" often on offer for 2-4-1 is a revelation. For a mere 11 pounds one can receive 22 inches of dog for me this a unique breathtaking experience. I long for the nights when I can taste america and satisfy myself with such a pure giant Dog. The dog itself is both well smoked and full of flavour this paired with the deliciously glutenous Baguette is well worth the price. Anyone visiting this country should take the time to order here I guarantee you won't regret it.”
