“Been living at Globe House for almost a year now and feel very at home. The apartment is finished to a high standard and building facilities are fantastic - who doesn’t want to unwind in a spa! The management team are brilliant, nothing is ever too much trouble and any problems are solved straight away. Additionally, they are all so friendly and it’s lovely to pop by for a chat. Location is great, really easy to pop into the city and a very short walk to the train station. I would highly recommend living here!”

“Ste and his team are amazing, they go above and beyond with what they do, I love coming home from work to a spotless house. They are also really reasonable price wise! I can’t carry a hoover up and down my stairs so it’s amazing that they bring all their own equipment and cleaning products, which saves money anyway so it’s a no brained for me! I’m only sorry I didn’t have cleaners years ago. Just amazing”

“They’ve started doing burger deliveries and the burgers are fantastic! Think 5 guys meets GBK. I got a double Eminem burger, it came slightly pink in the middle...just how I like it. I’ll be satisfying all my burger cravings from here for now on! Chips were also nice, draught beer vacation was lovely. I’ll give the halloumi fries a miss next time they weren’t great - my only complaint”

“Living here has been a very nice experience. The team in the building is always friendly and helpful — Haj and Tyler in particular have been great and always willing to assist. It’s clear that the staff genuinely listen to any issues we bring up and try to address them, which makes a big difference. The community events are a lovely way to meet people and feel more connected. One of the things I really enjoy is how much my dog loves it here — and the fact that everyone here seems to love her too is heartwarming. Overall, it’s a great place to live, though it would have been even better if the price was just a little more affordable.”

“Lovely cafe/bar right in the heart of Manchester, offering some lovely views. A good place to come and relax during the day, if you want to study, read a book or just people watch. Drinks replacing coffee by the evening. The place gets more bustling and boisterous with people coming in from the end of their shifts. Filling the place up with laughter and merriness. Serving just as well a bar as a cafe, offering a great atmosphere for both.”

“I had a couple of guinness. No food. Didnt see they had Murphys until late so i will be back for a pint of that They have tayto Great atmosphere here, people enjoying the craic or watching the GAA. I visited this pub when it was the Tavern. I wrote a bad review amd critised whoever was running it, as it seems like a nice wee spot. The new people who have taken it over have put some love into this. Well done. I went in with low expectations and was proved utterly wrong. I cant understand how they can offer a free buffett. I would urge you to give this place a go.”

We first discovered stockport for afternoon drinking ( before lockdown) from a trip out with our local historian and Sentinel writer Mervyn Edwards.. we fell in love with the preserved Victorian history and friendly locals...since then we travel from stoke and stay over regularly. This visit I particularly wanted to discover the Star and Garter. Stunning building...on entrance we were warmly welcomed by barman Craig.. it was fascinating to learn about the pubs history and Craig's family working within the pub trade for generations. Of course we enjoyed Robinsons Iron Maiden bitter.. a perfect pint..a creamy head all the way down the glass! A cash only pub... my husband always supports Cash is King ! A lovely traditional friendly local pub.. we'll definitely visit again.”
