“Had a fantastic lunch here just now. Booked online and had to delay an hour which they were fine about. Had fantastic service and the food was great. I had the rump steak and garlic butter sauce. The steak was cooked perfectly medium just how I asked and that sauce was delicious. Thanks very much!”

“Always a good time at colliers. Plenty for the kids during the day (park and bouncy castle) dog friendly and always a bit of footy on in background.”

“Lovely, small hotel. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Nice pub too, Excellent breakfast. We stayed one night for the standedge tunnel canoe trip. Stayed here on Friday night and then the owner gave us a lift to marsden on sat morning to join the canoe trip. Diggle end of the tunnel is 200m from the hotel. Recommended.”

“Went for midweek lunch with a friend , we both had the 2 course menu deal and drinks . Very quiet with few customers while we were there, nice friendly staff . Food was very good if on the small portion side , we had the steak and ale pie . Have been here in the past and it has always been a good experience .”

“What a welcoming pub. A group of us visited after the Oldham vs Woking game on Tuesday night. We were away fans, but made to feel at home straight away! Christine & Jess looked after us so well and we were even bought a round of drinks from one of the locals. We will definitely recommend The Rifle Range and be sure to visit for longer next time. “Had a lunch out with oir eldely parents this lunchtime, we travelled over from Huddersfield. The service and food was very nice and the my partner highly recommends the Lees bitter. Not been here for quite a fee years. The new management has greatly improved. Will defo go back. (Didnt take photos of food)”

“Lovely Chinese takeaway. The family are so nice especially mother and daughter who tend be out front. Food is excellent I really enjoy it. My personal favourites are the barbecue spare ribs ( dry) very little fat on these and delicious and Char Siu satay delicious and just enough spice and heat but not too much. We have never been disappointed with our food and as we tend to have a big order there's always something added free like prawn crackers or drinks. I used to live near to happy house but I'm a little further away now and don't get to see the lady who owns it but I wish her all the very best, she always gave the children and I fortune cookies and was ever kind and gracious”

“Amazing night at the bonfire and fireworks. Well organised and the fireworks were excellent. Food served was tasty especially the Tata ash. One criticism and only a small one as this is a free event, maybe some portaloos next year to increase the capacity for the weak bladdered.”

“Had a lovely stay including dinner and breakfast. Food was great, we had the roast dinner which was fantastic value for money at £13.95 a head. Breakfast had a good selection of hot food at the buffet. My only, very personal, preference would have been to have more egg options as I didn’t fancy the scrambled eggs and there wasn’t any other option but the rest was delicious and plentiful. Lastly, but definitely not least were the friendly, helpful staff who really made us feel welcome and valued. Highly recommend the Boat & Horses hotel too as the rooms are big, well appointed and the beds really, really comfy. Well worth a stop off.”

“Beautiful food, my partner had a stack I went for surf and turf... Very nice.... They was a little under staffed due to ill staff,,, it was a Friday night! The young lady that seated us made us welcome and explained their situation...... We only waited 15 to order food was their in ample time and cooked to perfection...... “I don't review often but this was too good to not review, Oldham's HIDDEN GEM - Went in for the first time yesterday, very friendly Chinese family run business, was met by I believe the lovely mum at first! Ordered 1. Fish 2. Salt and Pepper Chicken 3. Chips 4. Curry Sauce Very short wait time, cooked fresh with huge portions at a low cost! Was absolutely delicious especially the Salt and Pepper Chicken, I will be ordering this again and again. The family enjoyed it so much we went for a second time today, definitely the best curry sauce in Oldham!!! They threw in a free incredibly large bag of prawn crackers which paired lovely with the curry sauce!!! I went and got the Chicken chow mein and King prawn chow mein. Order taken by the lovely boy that works there, very friendly and kind explaining the different items they have! Even took the time to ensure all items were within my dietary restrictions :D Both were incredibly well cooked and flavourful, loved it!!! This is definitely going to have to be a repeated visit even though its a 10 minute drive from me!!! Everything is incredibly fresh, very fast service, lovely workers there, the Man Sun is amazing!!! Not sure why the other reviews are awful when this is one of the best if not the best chinese chippy I have ever been to.”
