“We love it at The Hale Pizza Express. We come on a weekly basis knowing we will be warmly greeted by Massimo. The food is always perfect and tweaked to our liking. It’s a nice touch knowing our order and having personal conversation. Couldn’t recommend Massimo and his team of friendly waiters and top notch pizza chefs enough. 6 stars”

“If there was an option for 6 stars, this pub would get it. Came here after a walk in the area and walked in to friendly staff and a warm fire. It was a weekday so not so busy we got a table straight away. You think it can't get better. It does. The pie was amazing, mash was amazing and gravy was amazing too. Such lovely food we had to get dessert and that was, as predicted, amazing. Can't wait to come back here again and try the other food on the menu, really exceptionally good pub to come.”

“Sigiriya in Manchester is hands down the best Sri Lankan restaurant we’ve experienced in the UK so far! Just a 20-minute drive from Liverpool, it’s worth every minute of the journey. The restaurant is impeccably clean, and the atmosphere is rich and authentic, truly transporting you to Sri Lanka. The food here is phenomenal—every dish is bursting with flavor and feels incredibly authentic. Chef Dahanaka’s expertise is evident in every bite. A special shoutout to Anil and Lahiru for their outstanding hospitality; they made our dining experience even more enjoyable with their friendly and professional service. If you’re looking for a must-try restaurant, Sigiriya is the place. We can’t wait to return and explore more of their amazing menu. Highly recommend!”

“Decided to have a quiet midweek meal top celebrate my birthday and my daughter passing her driving test. Paul couldn't have delivered better service. he greeted us warmly on arrival and congratulated us both, which took me by surprise. He even had a birthday card and a congratulations card ready on our table. the service from Paul was attentive and friendly whilst the food was great too. we also took advantage of the tesco vouchers offer for a total bargain. thank you!”

“This is our 2nd visit here ( we dont live locally) so our visita are far apart. The food on both occasions was delicious. We shared the CAMEMBERT for two, with 4 slices of toasted Ciabatta and red onion relish. Extremely tasty. I had the Lentil Cottage pie with vegetables. Really tasty. Hunters chicken was very tasty too. We ate outside. Then went inside for a coffee and to investigate this lovely old house. I read and looked at the photographs on the walls and found out it had belonged to The Boddington Family. Staff were lovely. Very helpful and friendly.”

“Very impressed. Visited on a Sunday and took advantage of the 'Sunday Offer' menu which is £15.95 for two courses. Considering the size and quality of the meals this really is fantastic value. All food was excellent. Special mention to the girls waiting on, who were friendly and efficient. Will definitely return.”

“I recently visited the cafe place and it was a fantastic experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by friendly staff and a cozy, inviting atmosphere. The interior is beautifully designed, with a perfect balance of modern and rustic touches. The staff really knows their stuff when it comes to food – you can tell they take pride in what they do. I also loved the music and the general vibe of the place – perfect for a relaxing break or catching up with friends. Highly recommend if you're looking for great coffee and a welcoming environment. “Been in a few times since it has re-opened and it is belting, not many places like this left, plenty of rooms, plenty of screens, beer garden is a real suntrap and the atmosphere is great, staff are friendly and it's good to have the Railway back open, ate here for the first time today and can't recommend the Pizza's enough, proper wood fired oven makes all the difference. Get yourselves in!”

“Visited for dinner, we both wanted the pie and chips, no pies left., We then chose fish and chips and they had to check if they had fish. We were about to leave, but they had two left. The food arrived and we were pleased either the good, fish was excellent, large, chunky fish and good batter. The pub was a bit smelly, tables very sticky. Toilets really clean and tidy. Not too busy on a Monday afternoon. The pub is next to the golf course, with a great view. The pub could be so much nicer and it would increase footfall from golfers too.”

“My son has finished his first year of reception and it’s been a good experience. Our hope was that he’d find a friendly and diverse environment where any learning needs could be quickly identified and addressed. Although our primary focus was an emphasis good pastoral care and holistic development versus pure academic targets, we’ve been happy to note that he performs well above a broad group of his peers in this aspect. He has been stretched in areas where he was strong and supported in those he currently struggled with. As a consequence, he no longer finds mathematics onerous and takes pleasure in demonstrating his skills. We look forward to his pursuing opportunities in music and on the sports field in the coming years. A welcome bonus has been making new friends with other parents from a wide range of backgrounds. Accepting that we may be biased given the wealth of excellent state primary schools in Trafford, overall our experience with the school has been a good one, supporting our choice for an independent school in general and St Ambrose in particular.”
