“I've not had a chippy tea for a long time, and I've not been to this chippy for ever longer. Just getting over the flu I couldn't be bothered cooking so thought I'd go for Fish & Chips. It was a great decision, Im not sure if this place has a new ownership in the last few years but the Fish & chips with mild curry sauce was 10/10. Very impressed, give it a go!”

“Fantastic outcome, thanks very much. Having lost confidence in my regular dentist. I came across Hale and Bowdon when I needed some emergency treatment on a Sunday some 6 months ago. I was immediately struck with the sense that I was been dealt with by someone at the top of their game. I’ve had oral misery for two years now so after my regular dentist told me that my two most troublesome teeth were unsavable and should be extracted I sought the opinion of Dr Saira. She was confident that these teeth could be saved, I had two invasive root canal treatments in an hour long appointment and was back at work straight after, totally pain free, and two crowns fitted subsequently. I’m just back from a Greek holiday having loved munching on crusty bread, and eating grilled meat and fish with total confidence! I can’t speak highly enough of Dr Saira and GI Georgie! The Batman and Robin of dentistry and would recommend them all day long! Thanks Cameron.”

“Been in a few times since it has re-opened and it is belting, not many places like this left, plenty of rooms, plenty of screens, beer garden is a real suntrap and the atmosphere is great, staff are friendly and it's good to have the Railway back open, ate here for the first time today and can't recommend the Pizza's enough, proper wood fired oven makes all the difference. “Visited for dinner, we both wanted the pie and chips, no pies left., We then chose fish and chips and they had to check if they had fish. We were about to leave, but they had two left. The food arrived and we were pleased either the good, fish was excellent, large, chunky fish and good batter. The pub was a bit smelly, tables very sticky. Toilets really clean and tidy. Not too busy on a Monday afternoon. The pub is next to the golf course, with a great view. The pub could be so much nicer and it would increase footfall from golfers too.”
