“First time here, as a family we booked a table, and had table service off David who was really lovely and helpful. We didnt have to wait long for the food, even though the pub was busy.The food was amazing and very flavoursome. Not long after we finished our food the staff cleared our table and asked for any desserts, which arrived very quickly. Will definitely be coming back in the future! Lovely staff!”

“I came here last week with my family of 8! The atmosphere was booming, they had a live singer and the food was fabulous! Best curry i’ve tried!! The staff were so polite and the drinks were great. Also the parking is free if your a customer which is great and all i had to do was go to the bar and ask for a code!!”

“A fabulous pub. Despite being hemmed in by the continuing high rise building that the dreadful council allow to make this once fine city as ugly as possible, this gem retains its character. It was around during the Peterloo Massacre and injured were brought there for treatment. It serves some fine real ales, has an extensive beers garden, comfortable interior and a room with some excellent United photos and memorabilia. Well worth a visit.”

“Came to Manchester to see the Beths. When that was cancelled at short notice I met up with a mate and his wife to see their daughter in the band "Brand New Legs" at Night People. Lovely, smart venue with a great vibe. Bar well positioned on one side and a handy step up down the left hand side for the vertically challenged! Reminded me of the sugar mill in Hanley minus the sticky floor!”

“Visited today and was very impressed with the food quality, presentation, and flavor—it was outstanding! However, I’m giving it 4 stars because although the food was excellent, we had to ask for our drinks as they weren’t ready, which meant a bit of a wait. That said, the place had a lovely, cozy atmosphere overall.”

“Out and about in Manchester with Albrecht. Have not been in this non real ale pub in many years but fancied a pint of Guinness. A very good choice. Albrecht had a pint of Estrella. £12.20 for the two pints. A one room pub taken back to the bare brick. A small rear outdoor area. Impressive spirit collection. Very friendly staff. The toucan murals take me back 60 years; we had metal trays with the Guinness toucans when I was a lad. ( sister still has them!) They do have live music. Pipped music was pretty damn good.”

“So I'm giving this review because of the landlord and his wife. My son had a meltdown on the main road. I had to sit on the floor with him to keep him safe (he's non verbal and autistic. This is also rare too). Anyway they xould hear him at the pub and the landlord and his wife was concerned. She came out and kept us company. She also took the edge off too. I know we didn't go in for drinks but if the landlord and his wife are like this it tells me how welcoming their pub is. Thank you so much ♥️”

“Met family here on route back to Scotland for lunch. Food was amazing, lots of choice for GF and veggies. Chesse and onion pie was delicious and service from Zoe was fab! Highly recommend.”

“Went to see a panto Aladdin here recently. Parking was really easy and was free for a limited time NOTE (you still need to obtain a ticket from the machine though and display in windscreen). The pantomime was great, the layout in the hall was fabulous, viewing was great, stage layout/set up was fab. The staff in there were all so helpful too!”

“Phoenix nights on steroids. Karaoke on a Friday and Saturday, all things to all men and ladies. Rich and poor old and young are all here getting stuck in. Cheap booze too, what's not to like.”

“Ive been here a few times and always had a good experience. I've tried all the tacos and each one was really tasty. My personal favourite is the cauliflower! Food comes really quickly and they have a large and interesting choice of margaritas. The staff were all really nice too!”

“Me and a mate randomly ended up in the park last night. It's one of the friendliest pubs I've been too in a long time. The bar staff are lovely and the punters are up for a good laugh and also just really open. It was the karaoke night on the Friday. I love watching people having a go, this definitely added to the atmosphere. Wish it were my local, will definitely return when I can.”
