“We needed somewhere to crash for an extended period of time before a flight. The staff here were very helpful when we arrived. We can not fault the guy on the phone and the lady on site for how good they were to us. The room was a lot more spacious than expected and it had the cricket test on the telly. The bed wasn’t amazing, but the room was cheap so we were not expecting the Ritz. We got lunch nearby at San Carlo, which was very close and tasty.”
“Rachael from Reflections II was the stylist for our wedding. She was super professional, really friendly and did an amazing job of everyone’s hair. I would highly recommend her if you need a hair stylist for any events / weddings!”
“Excellent coffee, nice and cozy environment. The owner was a lovely person”
“I love this place! Emma's a wonderful talent and her flowers are simply beautiful. The little coffee shop is also amazing. You always get a warm welcome and a place to sit, enjoy a friendly chat and put the world to rights over fantastic coffee and delicious cakes. It's definitely one of my favourite places for sure.”
“Really lovely little cafe, spotlessly clean, great brew, nice wholemeal toast with real butter. Well definitely go again. Decent menu, staff were really nice too.”
“Great little cinema which is made especially enjoyable by the little introduction that the staff do on each film, giving a little insight into how it was made, or other films the director has made. The place is welcoming to everyone, and when my partner and I went to watch The Handmaiden, there were a wide variety of people in the audience, which is always good to see.”
“Great food cooked fresh while you wait. Very clean and a great atmosphere. I have particular dietary requirements and they adapted a menu choice to suit.”
“This is a lovely little cafe on Pepper Road Industrial Estate and you can takeaway. I had a mango and berry smoothie and a sweet chilli and cheese panini. Both were absolutely delicious! Will definitely be coming back! The staff are also very friendly and welcoming.”
“Excellent friendly staff, dog friendly. Food spot on”
“The best pub in the area! Great food and beer.”
“Do not think does food. Fabulous pub all the same”
“Hi Maggie I've heard your closing down that's such a shame as it's such a great pub. I was told its being turned into flats we don't need any more HMO's”
“This is an oasis of delightful experience, low-cost food, and excellent coffee. I was shocked to discover this thoughtfully arranged wayplace within the sterile halls of the interchange. Please visit and enjoy as I have done.”
“Went to hillside cafe for breakfast today, we ordered toasted BLT and chips x2, cooked perfectly. The Latte’s are the best around. staff are friendly, and cafe is kept very clean, keep it up x”

“Popped in here for the first time since moving back to the area 5yrs ago. The place looks great, the staff are very friendly and Kyle and the bar and kitchen staff were extremely helpful when we ordered food. Just wanted a snack that would fill us up and that’s what we got. Nice vibe with a mixture of colourful locals.”
“Always so pleased with the food and service here! Came for lunch on Saturday afternoon, waited a few minutes for a table but got a lovely spot in sun. Service great - drinks and food ordered and arrived in good time. Loads of options to choose from at very affordable prices! Worth a visit :)”
“Such a find! Very much a locals place! Sat round the fire after a lovely walk with the dog, oatcakes were outstanding and finally a proper coffee! Wish we lived closer and we would never leave!”
“Amazing tea and donuts, best tea place in Oldham. Wish there was a sitting place.”
“Dog friendly (variety of treats available) very reasonably priced cafe, couple of small indoor tables and a lot of outdoor seating. Wish it was open more during the week.”
“I have been coming to this coffee shop for a weekly coffee date with my little girl for years. The staff are really lovely, very helpful and friendly and good the extra mile to give a good experience. The drinks and food are good, and good value. Better than Starbucks/Costa/Nero and cheaper. I expect to having a weekly mum and daughter coffee date here for years to come.”
“I believe Costa is the best for me. I have visited many of their branches in Manchester. I always order a flat white or cortado from Costa. My husband loves the cortado at Costa and says it is the best. Their cakes are tasty, especially the carrot cake. Yummy!”
“I'm proud to call this my local. Bar staff are amazing and the whole atmosphere in the pub is perfect! Got love for the dogs as well hahha”
“The breakfast wrap was great. Packed full to the brim with goodness. Also great service as usual by lynne and Denise.”
“I pass this pub on a daily basis but have never visited until today. The place is lovely. A very old building with a nice atmosphere. The staff were helpful and friendly and the food was amazing. I would definitely recommend this place. Food is very reasonably priced.”
“Always busy whenever we go, the food comes quickly and is very tasty. Staff are friendly, and the menu is reasonably priced.”
“Terrific pub, but I would say pricey for the area. Locals are friendly and chatty if you're from out of town as well as with the locals. The bar staff were Terrific and accommodating. Had a great night and will be back.”
“What a bloody amazing pub! The last and final remaining public house I've visited in Poynton and I'm absolutely ashamed of myself that it wasn't the first pub I'd ever visited! I've driven past well over a thousand times in the last ten years after the traffic chaos on the mad mile and I've never popped in. More fool me than you I promise! Now... I've never felt so guilty I've never popped in. If you want airs and graces, go elsewhere. This is a no-nonsense pub with a down to earth owner with plainspoken patrons. The locals here are as welcoming as the owners. Considering it was my debut visit and they hadn't a clue who I was they treated me like family but I was just some randomer who came in with a little Jack Russel! I walked in here with my dog and she was instantly welcomed. No other pub in the village except Cask has ever extended the same virtue, we've always been asked to leave or sit outside! I'm really sorry not to remember the landlady's name but she was so nice to our group. I did promise her a revisit so I hope to update the review in due course. Thanks for having us x”
