My favourite dishes are haddock and chips, both of which they do very well, and pretty much any and every kebab they make (beyond doner, which itself is excellent, they know how to do Mediterranean and marinated (tandoori style) chicken). “This place is under relatively new ownership amd they have taken this chippy up levels. Fish was amazing, lovely crisp batter on the cod and really good peas and chips. Huge portion size too. Now my go to chippy. If youve not tried it recently get yourself there.”

“Good fortune has been my new main Chinese restaurant for good reasons. One of those reasons is how succulent the crispy chilli beef is it’s like heaven and not to mention how nice the egg fried rice is. And the most I’ve ever had to wait for my food is 10mins at max. “I don't review often but this was too good to not review, Oldham's HIDDEN GEM - Went in for the first time yesterday, very friendly Chinese family run business, was met by I believe the lovely mum at first! Ordered 1. Fish 2. Salt and Pepper Chicken 3. Chips 4. Curry Sauce Very short wait time, cooked fresh with huge portions at a low cost! Was absolutely delicious especially the Salt and Pepper Chicken, I will be ordering this again and again. The family enjoyed it so much we went for a second time today, definitely the best curry sauce in Oldham!!! They threw in a free incredibly large bag of prawn crackers which paired lovely with the curry sauce!!! I went and got the Chicken chow mein and King prawn chow mein. Order taken by the lovely boy that works there, very friendly and kind explaining the different items they have! Even took the time to ensure all items were within my dietary restrictions :D Both were incredibly well cooked and flavourful, loved it!!! This is definitely going to have to be a repeated visit even though its a 10 minute drive from me!!! Everything is incredibly fresh, very fast service, lovely workers there, the Man Sun is amazing!!! Not sure why the other reviews are awful when this is one of the best if not the best chinese chippy I have ever been to.”

“Helen street chippy is a fantastic chip shop in peel green. Located on the corner on Helen street. Parking is street parking only but I've never had an issue finding a place. The staff are nice. There's a cold drinks fridge at an average price. The chips are lovely. Two types of curry sauce. Always hot and tasty food. Would recommend and I'm a regular customer here”

We had the baby back pork ribs, maple syrup BBQ king prawns with cornbread, the 48 hour smokey beef brisket burger with cajun fries and the Jack Daniels BBQ pulled pork burger! “Have been here 3 times as my auntie and uncle live nearby and her hairdresser recommended it. Was definitely not disappointed chips were so tasty crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. Fish was massive and the batter not too greasy and cooked really well. I was given a pot of Irish curry to try and that was delicious so ordered it next time we went. Staff are so nice and friendly and prices are very reasonable compared to others. If you're looking for proper chippy chips give this place a try!!”
