“This was the best Koubida kebab I have had to date in Rusholme. Halfway through the meal, I was handed an equally sensational lamb kebab. My new favourite lunchtime destination. Don't miss out on this taste sensation. Staff incredibly friendly too.”

“We were driving back to Birmingham from the north and decided to stop for something different. We chose this restaurant for its Saudi Arabian food, and it did not disappoint! We ordered kebda, lamb mandi, chicken mandi, and waraq inab. The kebda was honestly the best I’ve ever had in the UK — the sauce was unique and full of flavor. The lamb mandi was delicious, with soft, tender meat and rich taste. We didn’t get a chance to try the chicken because the portions were very generous — each dish was more than enough for one person, and we were already full! Ayoub was kind, professional, and very helpful. He even gave us two extra tiramisu boxes for my girls for free as gift — such a lovely gesture! The restaurant’s design also stood out — it offers full privacy so you can enjoy your food in peace. The Arabic majlis-style seating and traditional decor created a warm and relaxing atmosphere. We will absolutely come back to this restaurant. Total payment: £35 for everything. Hygiene: Excellent!”

“I used to live in Glossop, at a time when the Raj Gourmet brought something completely new to local curries. Every time I go back I hope it won't have lost its magic. All the curries here are completely different, so I can never decide and usually go for two very different dishes. Tonight I went for prawn pathia, chicken moglai, mushroom rice, and paratha. The pathia has lots of slivers of green chillis - eat them and it's deliciously vindaloo strength, leave them and it' a really good, rich sweet & sour curry. The moglai is smooth, indulgent, and nutty without the annoying sweetness of lots of similar curries. (The portions are still huge, so I'll be eating this tomorrow too). How they've managed to sustain the quality without increasing the prices, I don't know, but I love this place.”

“My friend and I went to Don Marco restaurant and it was absolutely perfect. We had a 7 p.m. reservation and were seated in time. Our server, Eric was exceptional. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and had a genuine smile that made us feel right at home. The food was absolutely delicious - every dish was perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was elegant yet comfortable. I can't wait to come back and try more items from their menu. Definitely a new favorite spot!”

“Just had the most amazing meal here! From start to finish, you felt very well looked after! The Pizza was probably the best I've had in a long time! My wife enjoyed the lasagne. “Like every saturday night just ordered from the Golden Inn tyldesley and as always the guy on the phone says "for rob yes? 10mins" Rob comes back all emotional with two bags, one with our food and one with a can of carling and a snickers bar. The family are going to china for christmas and the elderly lady wished him a merry christmas and a happy new year from the family, gave him the two bags and came round the front and hugged him. If this isnt a reason to recommened a chinese i dont know what is”

“Small but packs a punch. Only a small cafe but the welcoming was lovely, service was very attentive. We went for breakfast, the menu had a great choice of healthy and the usuals. We had a bit of both. Freshest ingredients used and looks like locally sourced, where that could be achieved. The food was hot, tasty, and well priced. The atmosphere seems busy with all the plants but I get that the view outside isn't the greatest. Could look smart with different table surfaces/covers. Don't let the location put you off as this is a little gem for food and service.”

“Very friendly atmosphere, amazing community feeling around the place and the staff and landlord made me feel so welcome and very hospitable and friendly. The pubs really well decorated and got some amazing memorabilia. Credit to the community of sale and will definitely return.”

“Lovely, small hotel. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Nice pub too, Excellent breakfast. We stayed one night for the standedge tunnel canoe trip. Stayed here on Friday night and then the owner gave us a lift to marsden on sat morning to join the canoe trip. Diggle end of the tunnel is 200m from the hotel. Recommended.”

“I dined here for a special meal and it was fantastic. The building is cosy and very traditional decor making it feel very British and quiet luxury. The service was very quick and the food came out at reasonable intervals with no drawn out waiting. I had the steak and ale pie and chocolate fudge cake and wow it was wonderful. The pie filling was tender meat and lots of flavour and the pastry was lovely too. The mash and gravy and veg was perfect and had lots of flavour. The cake was like a better version of a school pudding and felt nostalgic. I was so happy overall it really is a little gem this place to eat. The atmosphere was quiet and warm and the outdoor area was filled with people enjoying drinks peacefully. Great car park too and away from main roads. Just overall fantastic and I can’t wait to return. The pie and cake was so good I feel I won’t end up trying other items because I quite literally could eat that every day!”

“Nice friendly atmosphere, with fantastic food and a great price, brilliant views looking out over the hills. . Only down side I suppose is the outside of the building looking a little tatty and doesn't do it justice for what it's like inside. Would defiantly recommend and I will be returning to try out more of the menu.”

“Been here twice and can't fault the place. The lunch special cheese and onion pie was really tasty. Also had a breakfast Omelette here and would recommend. The staff were friendly and the food prices reasonable. Place was clean and had a nice atmosphere. When ordering I was warned it might be a 20 minute wait however food arrived within 10 minutes. The food was hot, loved the homemade chips and fresh salad. They had a lovely children's corner with colouring books and ramped access at the front door. Only gave 4 stars for the food because they only use 2 eggs for the Omelette which compared to elsewhere is a little stingy. Will return again”

“I am a frequent customer of meiz and they never disappoint. We love the offers and adore the bottomless menu thats on during the week. Sushi is always well presented, tasty, and are delivered in generous portions. Their other dishes are also very flavourful and and probably the best of what Preston has to offer in terms of Japanese food. Sushi tasty might have the aesthetic down, but their food pales in comparison. Super friendly staff also!”

“I go here once a month for The Bowling Green Writers' Group and it is awesome. They have alcohol-free lager on tap, the food is incredible, and the staff are lovely, especially the tall barman in the evenings who goes above and beyond for every customer. There's a great atmosphere and they do live music on Saturdays. Highly recommended as a relaxed, friendly pub. It also has a stunning beer garden!”
