“Went here Saturday at 12.30, it was a table for 4 and we were seen to our table by a friendly waitress, ordered our meals which took about half an hour, which I thought was good and when they arrived they were all piping hot. The fish is absolutely incredible — I ordered it half an hour in advance so they could prepare it fresh, and it was worth every minute. A perfect fillet, no bones, beautifully seasoned, and cooked with real love. I added the jerk sauce, and honestly, it complements the fish so well… rich, warm, and full of flavour. The staff are outstanding too — decades of experience in Jamaican cooking, and you can taste that wisdom in every bite. They treat you like family the moment you walk in. “Not had the pleasure for a while but no need to worry. Usual great beer albeit slightly smaller choice. Awesome bar staff;Lucy even remembered my dog's name after more than a year and miraculously produced a sausage to welcome him back! As for the locals I'd challenge even a Tory MP to leave without making new friends! Best pub in Tameside by far.”
