“Our pug was urgently treated at Woodcroft for an ulcer on his cornea. The care from the staff was fantastic from the reception team, the nurses and the brilliant surgeon Alistair. Hopefully we are at the end of the treatment but I cannot recommend highly enough, every one at the hospital, pets are truly part of the family and watching what our Reggie has gone through is distressing, without Woodcroft it could have been so much worse. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts xx”

“Exceptional taste. For the 30 minutes I was there and eating the food, I didn't miss Pakistan at all. What a delicious Lamb boneless Karahi & Chargha! If the chef was a female, I would have offered to marry her just so I could have this food at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Grateful to the owners of Daawat restaurant for offering pure desi taste in England. Wish they can open a branch near Manchester University so I can eat even more often. “My most favourite shop in the entire north west!! This shop is a gem, it has the loveliest shopkeepers who are so passionate about their vintage wares :-) This is a must visit whenever I’m in Stockport, there’s always something new and the shop goes on forever! You’ll find things you didn’t know you needed but can’t leave without. Pictured is a gorgeous Picture Post magazine I bought! They have a great little collection of these in the centre floors of the shop along with lots of vintage literature, postcards and trinkets!”

I ' ve been to a few places in the past , and I keep coming back to this place . “Update: I first reviewed 3 years ago (see below), we live locally and still come here including tonight and again the food was lovely and even my fussy partner was happy with his dishes. Tarka daal was outstanding, chicken tikka tender, breads competently made. Very surprised at the bad reviews, noticed many are takeaway, we usually dine I'm and it's always been a good experience. Staff are also really lovely, we were put off by a really noisy group and they went to some trouble to set up the upstairs for us. Also offered us a bigger more comfortable table downstairs initially, even though it was fairly busy on a Friday night. So what one reviewer said about being made to sit at the smallest table is not the case now. Nice relaxed place to have a great quality curry at a reasonable price. Just to point out to another reviewer slating the food for not being authentically Indian: the restaurant is Bangladeshi, not Indian. The flavours are well balanced and nans cooked to perfection - fresh and fluffy soft with some browned bits. Samosas are large and taste freshly made, definitely above average quality. Fish dishes especially recommended, really tender. I've eaten here lots and with various people, and we've hardly even had a dish we've not been completely happy with. The staff make an effort and have a sense of humour.”

“I love Heron Foods. I wouldn't use it instead of a normal supermarket but have some really nice stuff. I especially go when they have the baby food in as its alot cheaper than the supermarkets. For example the Heinz 1+ foods are 2 for £1 where it's £2 just for one in supermarkets I've also bought baby porridge of 39p each or 69p each and then the tubs of porridge which are normally £3 in supermarkets are £1 so saves me a heck of alot of money. They don't have baby food in all time though its one of those once its gone its gone and then they will bring stuff back in a month or so.”

“The Supermarket of Dreams (and Chicken Legs) PK Foods is like the Avengers of grocery stores — they've got everything you need to save your day! You walk in for milk, and somehow come out with lamb chops, mangoes, incense sticks, and a giant bag of rice big enough to last until 2030. The meat counter? Oh yes. The butcher deserves a Michelin star for how precisely he chops meat. You ask for “just a little mince” and suddenly you're holding a kilo like it's a newborn baby. Fruit so fresh, I half expected it to start singing. Spices, snacks, toiletries, 5 kinds of lentils, 18 different chillies, and that one mystery vegetable you’ve never cooked but always buy anyway — they’ve got it all. You need it? PK's got it. You don’t need it? You’ll probably still leave with it. The staff are friendly too — the kind that call you “brother” or “sister” and make you feel like family. You don’t shop at PK Foods. You belong at PK Foods.”

“I was for one day free trial, now I have membership and really happy. It’s nice coz around me, I have 3 leisure centre and can go whenever I want, the two of them have sauna and that’s what I want the most. This one also have some sessions for my little one so she is happy too”
