“A lovely little local pub serving great food. Nice decor and relaxing atmosphere. Dogs are made a fuss of and very welcome. The Sunday Roast is the best in the area. Fresh and Tasty food at a good price cooked to perfection by Jessica. And Kim on Front of House is just a joy. Friendly and attentive and goes out her way to make everyone feel welcome.”

“Friday night karaoke for a friend's 40th. Reasonable range of Robinson's ales and standard pub lagers. The atmosphere was excellent. A friendly, warm and well behaved crowd. Comfortable and welcoming.”

“I booked a party for my son's 6th birthday and the staff couldn't do enough for us. Grace was a brilliant host! She explained how the party would run, double checked the food orders and ensured we had everything we needed (including unlimited juice and hoardes of food!). “Popped in whilst visiting a friend on my birthday & bumped into an old work colleague & friend of mine Sara! She’s working in the right place as she’s really lively & great with the locals. Absolutely made my visit that more enjoyable & I know she’s regular on the Karaoke too, Always the entertainer!. Great place for private events too plus socialising in the main pub with pool table in another room. Also decent seating outside for when the suns out.”

“A fabulous pub. Despite being hemmed in by the continuing high rise building that the dreadful council allow to make this once fine city as ugly as possible, this gem retains its character. It was around during the Peterloo Massacre and injured were brought there for treatment. It serves some fine real ales, has an extensive beers garden, comfortable interior and a room with some excellent United photos and memorabilia. Well worth a visit.”

“Out and about in Manchester with Albrecht. Have not been in this non real ale pub in many years but fancied a pint of Guinness. A very good choice. Albrecht had a pint of Estrella. £12.20 for the two pints. A one room pub taken back to the bare brick. A small rear outdoor area. Impressive spirit collection. Very friendly staff. The toucan murals take me back 60 years; we had metal trays with the Guinness toucans when I was a lad. ( sister still has them!) They do have live music. Pipped music was pretty damn good.”

“Had a surprise 60th for my dad at this venue and can only say good things. The complementary buffet was lovely and the staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough. I would recommend this venue to my friends and family for any of their parties.”

“Such a grand place! Just the other day I went in to B&M only just to buy one item and ended up with a trolley loads goodies, The staff are great and helpful!! Oh! “This store is always well stocked and if you can't get it here, you cant get it anywhere but the thing that stands out is the staff, they are the most pleasant, helpful and friendly staff I have ever come across, so much so you actually come out smiling.”

“A Lovely and large clean new store always smells so clean and the shelves are always perfectly lined up so neat and tidy it’s perfect for people who have OCD like me about cleanliness hygiene and having things so extremely precise with all the labels facing the right way I love shopping here plus the staff are always so nice and helpful there are queues now and again but what supermarkets do you go to nowadays that never have a queue? I learned from speaking to staff at Aldi that most supermarkets have bare minimum staff that’s why you don’t see many if any staff on the shop floor for help and one or two staff on checkouts and to remember to be nice to them as they don’t choose to work in such small numbers and it’s not because they don’t want to help you or are hiding in the store it’s because there is hardly any staff there so remember to treat staff just like you would want your own son or daughter to be treated if they worked in a supermarket most work so hard and are trying their best and it’s not just one job they have they doing about 20 jobs at once because there’s such small teams!”

“Came Saturday 3rd December for our Christmas do. We all had food and drinks. It was very busy so our food was miss ordered but once it came it was out of this world. Most of us had loaded fries. Because of the delay we got a discount. The food prices were really reasonable. Would definitely recommend.”

All the food was top quality, they make their own ho fun. It’s a little bit out of town but has decent parking. Definitely coming back next time we are home.”
