“Absolutely love Strinesdale foot paths and 2 large Reservoir's that allow fishing. It also has free parking and is that vast of a space you can walk round it and not bump in to anyone. Strinesdale also has a few picnic areas and amazing views out to the Pennines. There are 3 different routes you can take for that casual stroll or if you are looking to explore of the beat and track you can end up right in the hills and come out at a little farm house. All in all this is one of my favourite places to walk my dog and would recommend it to anyone.”

“Me and my partner come here alot, either to buy or sell. Always greated with highest professionalism and friendliness, get on well with all the workers. Today I went in after a bad day of my phone breaking and no one being able to fix it. I was helped to the fullest to get a phone in my budget, I did have to go back with it (personal problem) and was helped by a very kind, understanding and helpful worker I want to say his name was jerry I'm so bad with names. He spent quite a while helping me find a suited phone and sort out the other phone so I can get it swapped over. A can not thank you enough all of you for just giving me a little light on my bad day. Highly recommend this shops, always full of interesting things and for sure one of the best second hand shops I have been in!!”

“I must have driven past this place a thousand times, and had never considered sitting down to eat, as it looks nothing much from outside, but then I was invited for lunch here. The food was amazing, and the staff warm and welcoming. All in all a really pleasant surprise. I'll be going back for sure!”

We had the baby back pork ribs, maple syrup BBQ king prawns with cornbread, the 48 hour smokey beef brisket burger with cajun fries and the Jack Daniels BBQ pulled pork burger! All perfectly cooked and so tasty! Can't wait to go back when you reopen!”

“Had a couple of beers here on a Friday evening. The guest beer was in great condition and the bar staff were really friendly. Plenty of parking next to the pub. Sports were being shown on multiple screens. Would recommend and visit again.”

“Phenomenal!!! So pleased we passed by this pub on the way home, the service was amazing and the food was delicious, home cooked and generous! Great veggie and vegan choices and sooo many gluten free options, most of the dishes looked like they could be done GF. Veggie burger and roast beef sandwiches both 10/10. We felt so comfortable and looked after, thank you Mike for being so passionate about the menu and chatting to us, as well as for my birthday dessert! We will definitely be back ☺️”

“This pub is a old fashioned gem it has still got its old-fashioned styled rooms and snug it has that quaint appeal to it, and it's a propper locals pub. There is a really good range of Robinsons hand pumped ales on offer today from Robinsons Keep up good work people involved with this pub”

“A classic CAMRA Heritage pub. I first visited in the autumn of 1974 so almost a 50 year anniversary visit. Albrecht came with us and loved the tiled interior. I had two pints of Joe Holts bitter. Loved it. They also had a guest beer, White Rat by Ossett brewery. This is a great community pub with 3 rooms around the bar. Join the discussion...is it egg & chips or is it chips and egg? Albrecht wants a return visit asap.”
