“We have only ever had the take aways when we want to treat ourselves. We have lived in Saddleworth almost 8 years now and we have really struggled to find a decent Indian restaurant, it has always been hit and miss. There was never any consistency, sometimes good, sometimes bad…HOWEVER I think this is by far our favourite place! We keep going back! The poppadoms are always amazing, every single time, not full of oil and greasy tasting, their Lime Pickle is gorgeous and the food is delicious. The lamb chops are a favourite and you can tell there is no cheat, they have been properly marinating in the delicious spices. The tandoori spices must be a family secret, to die for. Most definitely recommend if you want a genuine taste of India. And it is a plus there is minimal plastic waste:)”

“This place is amazing. Visited for the first time yesterday and will certainly be back. The food was great, felt really authentic and was clearly freshly made. It is also so reasonably priced for what you get I was met warmly when I went to collect our order and whilst I didnt get to chat the service was genuine and the people were lovely I don't know what goes into the gravy with the chicken split but I would happily have it everyday My photos do not do this place justice as I was too eager to start eating!”

“Visited Romulus last night for the first time and the food was absolutely beautiful.. the nicest Italian I have ever had. I had the minestrone soup which was delicious followed by pan fried breaded chicken with tomato spaghetti on the side and my god it was to die for… also this was on the set menu 2 courses I think it was like £19 each…The staff are so nice they can’t do enough for you and also really funny. We had a ball in there last night. Will defo be back. Can’t recommend enough.”

“I’ve been coming to The Hare and Hounds in Middleton week after week, and I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad experience here. “Stepping into Turquoise in Cheadle is like being warmly hugged by a restaurant that knows its own character inside out. The décor isn’t trying to impress with chandeliers or glitter thankfully but instead wraps you in warmth with local artwork on the walls that feels like it’s been chosen by someone who actually likes art not someone who just Googled “restaurant paintings.” It’s inviting homely and gives you the sense that whether you’re bringing the family for a big feast or sneaking in for a romantic dinner for two you’re in the right place. Now the food. This is where Turquoise flexes its muscles. Take the full English. It’s not a plate of sadness and regret it’s a proper spread. The sausages aren’t your usual limp Richmonds. No these beauties taste like they’ve just been pinched from a farmer who still sings to his livestock. I don’t even like sausages usually but these have that magic balance meaty juicy and full of intent. And if you fancy they’ll happily swap one out for a Turkish sausage which adds a little drama to the plate like inviting a flamenco dancer to your breakfast table. Their Mediterranean and Turkish dishes carry the same ethos generous but never sloppy bold but never brash. You can tell nothing’s rushed here. It all tastes fresh like someone actually cared as they stirred the pot. The staff are relaxed happy and with that ease that says “We’d rather be here than anywhere else.” They don’t hover like suspicious pigeons nor do they vanish when you need them they’re just right. And the value. Well it’s excellent. Other places might leave you nursing the sting of buyer’s remorse but here you walk away content your wallet intact and your taste buds gently applauding. Turquoise doesn’t just feed you it reminds you that food cooked with love and pride makes everything better. And if you’re lucky the sausages might even wink at you on the way out”

“We had a delicious lunch here. Their gyros are probably one of the best in town. The owner is friendly and happy to talk about what they serve. They use quality ingredients and you can easily tell their food tastes delicious and authentic. They have a fantastic meal deal where you can get a gyro, a drink and a cake for around a tenner. The place is nice, quiet and with some beautiful Greek decorations on the wall.”

“I've had decent nihari a few times in UK, this was highly recommended by my son in law, I was not disappointed, I also ordered naan and a portion of seekh kabab. 1. Every item was outstanding including chutney. At other places, I usually don't like their naan, other places seekh kabab ate extremely dry, I hate chutneys everywhere, they usually go in the bin. This food was OUTSTANDING, 5*****, 2, Service, OUTSTANDING, I'm disabled and did not have my wheelchair in the car, the gentleman brought out the food for me. 3. Price, OUTSTANDING. All the food that I ordered, cost only £25. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED restaurant. 5*****”

“Sue & the team provided a lovely buffet my mum's 70th birthday, plenty of selection. Their service is efficient and will go ubove & beyond to any requests ie dietary, selection, delivery etc. Also followed by calls to check everything is ok etc. Sue takes pride in providing the best customer service. I would certainly recommend. Every guest commented on the quality and variety of the food provided. Thankyou x”

“Visited here today and had a great meal. The Gurkha beer is really nice, I told myself I'd only have one as they're 660ml but I ended up having 2 as they were so good. Ended up having the mixed main as a starter but if I went again I'd just have several portions of the lamb chops, the rest of the meat was very nice (quite spicy for anyone worried about spice) but the lamb chops were amazing. Had the duck masala main and the lamb Gurkha curry, would highly recommend the Gurkha Curry it was fantastic, the duck was nice it's different than most Curries so if you want something more aromatic it's something to try. Bread was nice, poppadoms nice and the chutneys were good too. Between 2 of us spent £77 but had separate sides, rice's and effectively 3 main courses and a couple of beers/soft drinks so I'd say it was good value for the quality and quantity of meat. Give it a try, you won't regret it.”

“Had breakfast here on a Sunday morning and would absolutely recommend. Both the waitress and chef were really friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. I ordered the Omelette with chips which was ready within 10 minutes of ordering. The food was served hot and tasted great. Portion sizes were quite big and prices are reasonable. The atmosphere inside the place was really nice too. There's indoor and outdoor seating available plus a customer toilet. My only critique would be that the canned and bottled drinks are not refrigerated and I think they should change this. Would be nice if they made a kids menu too”
