“Ordered Singapore Vermicelli, Thai Green beef curry, lemon chicken, sweet and sour chicken balls with a load of sides and every bit was gorgeous. The Mrs collected it and even got offered a lift home with it all. Highly recommended, friendly staff.”

“We only order delivery or pick up, so I can't say much about the sit-down service, but the atmosphere is pleasant. The food is phenomenal and always scorching hot, extremely reasonably priced for the quality, and we've always been greeted warmly. One of the few places in the area that does paneer as a main dish, which is a big plus in our veggie family!”

“Update: I first reviewed 3 years ago (see below), we live locally and still come here including tonight and again the food was lovely and even my fussy partner was happy with his dishes. Tarka daal was outstanding, chicken tikka tender, breads competently made. Very surprised at the bad reviews, noticed many are takeaway, we usually dine I'm and it's always been a good experience. Staff are also really lovely, we were put off by a really noisy group and they went to some trouble to set up the upstairs for us. Also offered us a bigger more comfortable table downstairs initially, even though it was fairly busy on a Friday night. So what one reviewer said about being made to sit at the smallest table is not the case now. Nice relaxed place to have a great quality curry at a reasonable price. Just to point out to another reviewer slating the food for not being authentically Indian: the restaurant is Bangladeshi, not Indian. The flavours are well balanced and nans cooked to perfection - fresh and fluffy soft with some browned bits. Samosas are large and taste freshly made, definitely above average quality. Fish dishes especially recommended, really tender. I've eaten here lots and with various people, and we've hardly even had a dish we've not been completely happy with. The staff make an effort and have a sense of humour.”

“Live around the corner from this pizza takeaway. It's not been open long so tonight we had the pizza takeaway and a garlic bread. First off ,real home baked pizza dough, second was the box was bone dry,no dripping grease under the pizza which was absolutely beut. The choice of garlic bread and pizza toppings are amazing. All in all.10/10 from me. New owners should be proud.”

“Even though we have moved out of Chadderton we still always use this takeaway to get a set meal for 3 (which feeds 4 easily, with leftovers, and is very reasonably priced at £30 odd). The food is well cooked and fresh. It's the best Chinese takeaway I have had. The only slight quibble is that it would be amazing if they could have a few gluten free options, the lady on the phone did not seem to understand the term 'gluten free' and so my coeliac brother in law had to make do with a gluten free egg fried rice and chicken from Mabel's Chippy Middleton via Ubereats, and the chicken was nice but the egg fried rice was flavourless, and it cost as much as our entire set meal for 3!”

“A great, friendly pub, for everyone. Warm in winter, if you’re trying to save on heating come and have a pint instead for not much more. Also shows all the football without feeling like that sort of place. Newly added beer garden is great.”

“I've been going to The Urmston regularly for almost 10 years now! My friends and I started going to the Pub Quiz there on Thursdays back in 2016 and we still go to this day! We've made many friends through the quiz and we love all of the locals too. The staff here have always made us feel welcome and that's why we still go week in, week out! Plus, the food is really good too! My family and I often enjoy dropping in for a Sunday dinner now and again.”

“Visited over Patrick’s weekend and really enjoyed liked the relaxed atmosphere. The place had plenty of screens showing the football, which was a nice. They also have Thief Street in the kitchen, the food was fantastic, great portion sizes and tasted delicious. The staff were friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall experience. Drinks are on the pricey side, with a pint of Guinness costing £6.70, but since we’re not big drinkers, we just had one drink each so it didn't affect us too much”

“An Absolute Delight – Best Fish & Chips in Manchester! I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Bank in Manchester, and I have to say—the fish and chips were absolutely outstanding. The batter was perfectly crispy, golden, and light, encasing a beautifully tender and juicy piece of fish that practically melted in the mouth. Each bite was a perfect balance of crunch and flavor, without being greasy or heavy. The chips were just as impressive—crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and seasoned just right. Paired with a side of mushy peas and a wedge of lemon, it was a classic done to perfection. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, this dish alone is worth the stop. Highly recommended!”

“Me and my wife enjoyed our meal here. It's a ribs or burger place really. With great offers on different nights like a jug of beer and ribs 4 2 for £20 on Wednesdays. Very retro and well lated out. It's got outdoor seating if you Wana be on the street on a hot day.”

“Wonderful place with outdoor seating which has access to the canal. Good food, good service. You can sit outdoor for a long time. Had a wonderful evening with friends and family at this place. Enjoy the beautiful village and good places chill out the evening. Near to Manchester. 20 minutes drive, parking available. Dogs allowed.”

“An amazing cosy pub with a ceiling so low you almost have to limbo dance to the bar. They have a nice selection of pies on the bar if you’re peckish, and my fella was well happy to see Murphy’s stout on tap, makes a nice change from Guinness. There is a nice big beer garden out back as well with some seating under cover”

“Absolutley amazing, very last minuite room hire due to being let down by a venue and trevor was really kind to let me have my birthday party on such short notice, couldnt thank him enough and couldnt fault him either, the music was great and he made sure we all had a great night, the bar staff were amazing they were so friendly, i will definitley be reccomending this place to everyone, thank you all for a lovely night it really will be a night ill never forget”

“I've had sushi from a few places in Manchester and most have been priced well in excess of Sake. I've eaten from Sake a few times now and each time the sushi has been fresh and flavoursome. The rice is cooked well. Not under or over sticky and prepared just right. I had the 12 piece variety sushi and I had tuna, prawns, mackerel octopus , salmon and a fish I didn't know lol. All very fresh. Was also served with some extras for free. I never comment on food but after so many disappointing sushi bars and restaurants have not met my expectations I think this place deserves a shout out and definitely for me is 5 star for sushi. My son also loves the chicken Ramen soup.”

“Very pleasant place, air conditioned with attentive staff. My first visit, but would gladly return. Sushi was wonderful, fresh fish, good seasoning, gyōzas not doughy, but lovely and thin. Had to wait for a while for the second innings, but the staff was apologetic and since what followed was excellent we didn't mind. I wish I took some photos, but was too busy eating! Loved it!
