“Dishoom Spinningfields is one of my favourite restaurants in Manchester. When it first opened back in 2018, it was Dishoom’s first restaurant in Northern England, and since then they’ve set a remarkable standard of both food and service quality and certainly left me coming back for more. The interior is super impressive, cool and unique. Dishoom is based on the old Irani cafés in Bombay, and the interior is so large and feels like no other restaurant in the city. My go-to dishes are the Chicken Ruby with Basmati Rice and occasionally the Gunpowder Potatoes. The portion sizes are generous, and the rich spices of the curry are super good — it’s obvious they use great quality ingredients and seasonings. For drinks, again the selection is vast, with my favourites being the regular Chai and the Mango Lassi, which are both really good. There is always a staff member walking around topping up tap water, so you’ll never go thirsty. The pricing is a little high, but I feel it is worth it for the quality. Matka Holders can also roll a dice at the end of their meal to potentially earn everything for free, food and alcohol included, during certain times. This makes it all fun, being able to put the meal on the roll of a dice. Due to having an allergy, I can scan a QR code on the menu for the latest information, and all the staff members are well trained in dealing with allergies. They’re aware of coeliac disease and the danger of cross-contamination, and always keep my items separate from my friends’ when I dine in a group. Overall, this is one of the places to be in Manchester if you’re looking for good food with fantastic allergy awareness, overall ambience/vibes, food and service quality. It’s a place that you can go for a special occasion or even a quick lunch (although a lunch menu / meal-deal offer would make it even more enticing for sure!).”
“Very good range of world food options fresh and also packaged. Also small selection of fresh meat and veg and olives.”
“Nice place to spend an evening, authentic Pakistani food, atmosphere was great. Owner is really welcoming and caters to your needs. If you're a fan of a curry, then this is the place for you. I went as part of a medium sized group so groups are welcome.”
“Well called here with the family for a meet up What can one say? But it was a pleasant evening. The food choices was very nice.Everybody seemed to have enjoyed what they had ordered. Price was acceptable for that's type a restaurant staff were very lovely and friendly. Look forward to the next time we are in the area and go back.”
“We visited MyLahore for lunch today for the very first time, and our experience was made absolutely exceptional thanks to our server, Nadeem. From the moment we were seated, he was warm, welcoming, and attentive in the most genuine way. We both ordered the Chicken Dum Biryani, and when Nadeem brought the dishes over, he took the time to carefully cut into the dums for us. The moment he lifted the lid, the aroma was incredible—and the biryani inside was beautifully cooked. Perfectly tender chicken, fragrant rice, and so full of flavour. His presentation made the experience feel even more special. Nadeem’s professionalism, kindness, and pride in the food truly elevated our first visit. Thanks to him, we’re already looking forward to coming back!”
“All the food is very delicious and tasty. We like kubaidah and Naan and qabli Palau. The meat is very tender juicy and delicious. The atmosphere is cool here. It's not a big restaurant so it's always full or even fully booked. You need to book it in advance to secure the table here.”
“Lovely small peaceful family run middle eastern restaurant. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Food is nice and flavoursome in ample portions. Worth a visit for a nice meal.”

“One of the best meals I have had in a long time. Staff were very attentive. Was not so busy so a little let down by the atmosphere. The decor was very authentic and colourful.”
“Fatayar and Shawarma is a great spot for delicious shawarma and fatayar. The shawarma is packed with juicy, well-seasoned meat, and the fatayar is freshly baked with flavorful fillings. The portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable. The takeaway service is quick, making it perfect for a fast and tasty meal. Whether you’re craving a classic wrap or a warm pastry, this place won’t disappoint. Highly recommended for a satisfying bite on the go!”

“Just had a mixed kebab of chicken and Donna meat, it was so good, plenty of chicken and loads of Donna, the bread was thin and tasty, plenty of fresh salad. It was one of the best I have had, will definitely go back and recommend it”

“Amazing Food and Service at Aljazeera! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ You absolutely have to try Aljazeera! This place is truly special and has the best Qabli Pilau and grilled food you will find anywhere. If you want great food and perfect service, this is where you need to go. Eating here is a wonderful experience from start to finish. The main dish, the Qabli Pilau, is the star. The rice is cooked perfectly and smells so good with spices like saffron. The lamb underneath is super soft and falls apart easily—it practically melts in your mouth! The sweet carrots and raisins mixed in taste fantastic and make the dish complete. It's truly delicious and comforting food. The grilling here is also top-notch. The Grilled Chicken and all the Kababs are cooked perfectly. They have a great smoky taste and a little crispiness on the outside, but the meat inside is still incredibly juicy and tender. They use great spices, and every bite is full of real, traditional flavor. And let's talk about the service—it's honestly the best service I've ever had. The staff are so nice, professional, and genuinely happy to help. Our server knew everything about the menu and was quick and helpful without rushing us or getting in the way. Aljazeera gets everything right: amazing, real food and incredible customer care. Five stars just aren't enough—you absolutely must visit this spot! Highly Recommended Dishes: Qabli Pilau, Mixed Kabab Platter”
“Really nice food, great service too, got complimentary Meze and Turkish tea too with our order.”

“We were driving back to Birmingham from the north and decided to stop for something different. We chose this restaurant for its Saudi Arabian food, and it did not disappoint! We ordered kebda, lamb mandi, chicken mandi, and waraq inab. The kebda was honestly the best I’ve ever had in the UK — the sauce was unique and full of flavor. The lamb mandi was delicious, with soft, tender meat and rich taste. We didn’t get a chance to try the chicken because the portions were very generous — each dish was more than enough for one person, and we were already full! Ayoub was kind, professional, and very helpful. He even gave us two extra tiramisu boxes for my girls for free as gift — such a lovely gesture! The restaurant’s design also stood out — it offers full privacy so you can enjoy your food in peace. The Arabic majlis-style seating and traditional decor created a warm and relaxing atmosphere. We will absolutely come back to this restaurant. Total payment: £35 for everything. Hygiene: Excellent!”
“There are a limited number of parking places available very close to the restaurant on the main road and we were very lucky to get one just outside the fire station. We were welcomed very warmly and the waitress immediately offered to open the wine we had brought as you can bring your own wine with no corkage charge! We were also offered a jug of tap water which came with ice and lemon. For starters we had the Pasha baba Ghanouj, Chicken Bourak and Kibbeh Makli and all of them were excellent with the baba Ghanouj being one of the best we'd had - even better than in Istanbul. For mains I had the mixed kebab, which was one skewer of lamb cubes, one of chicken cubes and one of minced lamb. All of the meat was lovely and tender with a lovely hint of spice and I would say they were all cooked perfectly. The sauces accompanying them was also great. We also had some rice with vermicelli and a portion of tabouleh which was delicious. The service was very friendly and helpful and my only slight gripe was that the tables are rather close together and it would be rather difficult to have a cosy, intimate dinner here. However, the food was excellent and I love being able to take my own wine as I know it will be good and I wont be paying way over the odds for it. Pity its not nearer home!”
“Immaculately clean, most welcoming and friendly staff who can not do enough for you. I’ve never had anything bad. You can tell everything is homemade using quality ingredients. Highly recommend the soup and the chicken curry!!! The best in the area :)”
“Food was absolutely amazing. We give up on curry’s after having so many bad ones. My daughter goes to the nursery next door and we have said we need to try sheikhs. So glad we did. Fantastic staff and the best curry/food we have had out for a long time. Definitely our new Thursday treat”
“Linda is lovely and very helpful. Nice traditional English fish and chips. Very good curry sauce. The menu has had a revamp recently with some Chinese snack items added and I'm looking forward to trying”
“Outstanding delivery experience from German Doner Kebab! A huge shoutout to Ayesha and Hussein for their excellent service. The food arrived fresh, hot, and perfectly packaged — exactly how a takeaway should be. Ayesha made sure everything in the order was spot on, with all the extras and sauces included (which so many places get wrong!). You can tell there’s real attention to detail and care behind the scenes. Hussein clearly takes pride in the prep — the doner was packed with flavour, generous portions, and just the right balance of meat, salad, and sauce. Fast delivery, great quality, and brilliant service — couldn’t ask for more. Thanks again to Ayesha and Hussein for making it such a smooth and satisfying experience. Will definitely be ordering again! TA”
“Good naan bread. Only tried naan bread 3 for £1. Very soft you can use it next day too”
“I remember walking past many times as they were fitting out the restaurant and I can’t believe it has taken me this long to visit. What a beautiful venue, really central within a short walk to lots of bars. The food is excellent with plenty to choose from. The staff are helpful and friendly and the drinks are great too. Plenty great options to choose from with amazing flavours and although only tapas the portions are generous. We struggled to finish all our food. A really lovely place to visit when in Manchester but make sure you book in advance as it does get rather busy.”
