“We went on Saturday night to try the dinner menu and ordered a set of small plates. They were all excellent. I don’t even know which one was my favourite! But the tuna tartar, pea risotto, tempura, and the lemon sole were absolutely amazing. Do not miss the orange flavoured white wine from Mendoza Argentina. It significantly enhanced our experiences, highly recommended! The service was attentive, knowledgeable abs kind. The atmosphere also provided a relax and mellow environment. The music played was also the right volume (hate it when some places are so loud you just want to leave!) We will definitely be back very soon.”

The staff are relaxed happy and with that ease that says “We’d rather be here than anywhere else.” They don’t hover like suspicious pigeons nor do they vanish when you need them they’re just right. And the value. Well it’s excellent. Other places might leave you nursing the sting of buyer’s remorse but here you walk away content your wallet intact and your taste buds gently applauding. “Thank you for the incredible food and excellent service at Shaam. Everything we ordered was beautifully presented and tasted delicious. I couldn’t help but notice the same care and attention given to the dishes on other tables as well, all accompanied by a wonderful aroma. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to make my birthday special by bringing out a slice of cake with a candle, creating a lovely atmosphere. My only suggestion would be to offer a variety of music, and we did notice a few bothersome flies from time to time.”

It took us a while to try Armenian Grill House as, compared to take away pizza or chicken, the prices appear a bit high. “You’re going to read this review and think they’re paying me (they’re not!) because I only have good things to say :-) We’ve been getting takeaway from here for years and I thought it was about time I did a review, as it’s never been less than excellent in service, food and price. The food is really great, with loads of choice, and has always tasted delicious- we must have had the whole menu over the years and haven’t got a bad word to say. We usually order a bit extra so I can have it again the next day, which I love, and look forward to from breakfast…! There’s enough choice in flavour on the menu for everyone, plus some dishes you don’t normally see on a takeaway menu and they have loads of veggie options. I totally recommend this place :-)”
