“Had a fantastic lunch here just now. Booked online and had to delay an hour which they were fine about. Had fantastic service and the food was great. I had the rump steak and garlic butter sauce. The steak was cooked perfectly medium just how I asked and that sauce was delicious. Thanks very much!”

“My first visit in many years despite visiting the Castle pub opposite fairly often. A lovely two room pub with booth seating in the front bar area and a traditional back room. They had two JW Lees real ales on sale but Albrecht treated me to a pint of Guinness. Very good. He had San Miguel.”

“Nice, old-fashioned very traditional British pub with a cool back room where bands play. Friendly service and a good atmosphere, the back room is small so perfect for an intimate gig. Good selection of beers on at the bars including Robinson's Trooper which is a personal fave!”

“Great place, great atmosphere. Always call in now when on a night out in Ashton, and it never disappoints! Great tunes, karaoke (some good and bad!), everyone's always friendly and always have a laugh when in there, cheap beers and shots what else do you need? Would highly recommend.”

“Went for midweek lunch with a friend , we both had the 2 course menu deal and drinks . Very quiet with few customers while we were there, nice friendly staff . Food was very good if on the small portion side , we had the steak and ale pie . Have been here in the past and it has always been a good experience .”

The setting itself is lovely, relaxed, and perfect for a weekend treat. Our server, Jasmine, was absolutely brilliant — so attentive, friendly, and made sure we were well looked after from start to finish. We honestly couldn’t fault a single thing. Highly recommended!”

Served fast but not to fast perfectly hot and tasty. Staff are clearly very well trained and up on their knowledge of their menu and allergens, overall an amazing experience to say your in a pub in Failsworth you would not believe it once your inside. “I recently completed a one-year stay at Broadside, and I am beyond impressed with the incredible team that made my experience memorable. From the friendly leasing office staff to the efficient maintenance team, every interaction was positive and professional. The entire concierge team, of Monika, Precious, Jon and I'm forgetting the name of the other bloke (sorry), were also part reason why I extended by contract by 6 more months. They were just amazing at their work and exceptionally good with people. The management team of Jenna and Zvi were quite professional and helpful in every manner. The amenities, social events, convenience, and location in the city were top-notch, and the overall atmosphere made Broadside feel like home. “Out and about in Manchester with Albrecht. Have not been in this non real ale pub in many years but fancied a pint of Guinness. A very good choice. Albrecht had a pint of Estrella. £12.20 for the two pints. A one room pub taken back to the bare brick. A small rear outdoor area. Impressive spirit collection. Very friendly staff. The toucan murals take me back 60 years; we had metal trays with the Guinness toucans when I was a lad. ( sister still has them!) They do have live music. Pipped music was pretty damn good.”
