Great pouring selection and lovely tables and layout inside and out. You feel totally at home as a solo customer, working or reading and relaxing. “Amazing food, great service and unusual idea, all you can eat steak with the system of controlling when you wish to be served again by flipping the card from green to red. We visited last night for the first time and left really full and impressed. This is definitely not our last visit,the next time will probably come for bottomless service so drinks could flow as well. It's not cheap but it is worth the money. Everyone from the staff was very friendly and welcoming, the whole experience was just unforgettable including the deco and music. Thank you for having us and making our anniversary so special. “My compliments to Richard for being so approachable and friendly. He was attentive and interactive as well with the tables. Food is pretty good for a station eatery. Also a good variety of beers available on tap too. For me, it has to be Guiness on tap when in the UK. It’s been 20 years since I had one. Perfect!!”

“Eaten from the normal menu loads via takeout/online ordering, but today we ate in and had the breakfast. Tried the Morning Glory - hands down best breakfast menu item I've ever eaten, along with a brilliant brew (I want to buy one of those mugs!) and lovely atmosphere. Service was top notch, friendly and helpful. Will definitely be going back for more brunches and sandwiches.”

“29/07/23: spent a lot of time in Chorlton Green as a kid, but this is my first time here with wife and dog. A great combo. Good bar, small choice of craft ale but fantastic atmosphere, great view, friendly staff. Could be in some sunny Europeans bar!! Definitely worth a visit!! Ordered the Picasso Box for food from Truth Box Kitchen. Was great and filling! Chicken strips, mac n cheese, fries, corn on the cob, chicken wings!”

“This place is five ⭐ stars!! Afternoon event for a Holy Communion! Food, atmosphere and staff all amazing. A sense that they all enjoy their work!! Very clean and probably the best breakfast food I’ve had in years! Perfection!! Value for money also was a 5/5!!!! My son who has autism enjoyed his food and ate it so that’s a big compliment!!! We will be back!!!”

“Been to a few gatherings there such as a christening,wedding reception and a funeral. Brilliant place and all the staff are very friendly. Fully recommend this place for either a family gathering or if you’re out around tyldesley then nip in for a drink.”

“I recently visited The Old Original for a lovely Sunday meal, and I couldn't have been more pleased with the experience. My partner opted for the Sunday roast, and the roast beef was cooked to perfection — tender and full of flavor, without being pink. I went for the rag pudding with chips and mushy peas, and I must say, the peas were absolutely delicious! (as was the homemade chips and rag pudding).The gravy had a rich, meaty flavor that really enhanced the meal, not bland like some places can be. Plus, the portion sizes were generous, and everything was piping hot when served. The service was excellent, with friendly and efficient staff making sure we had everything we needed. I chose from the fixed menu, and ended the meal with a lovely slice of chocolate fudge cake for dessert, which was a real treat! The prices were very reasonable for the quality of food and service we received. The pub has a warm, inviting atmosphere, complete with a candle on the table, and the rural setting with its lovely views makes it a perfect place to unwind. While the car park is a little on the small side, street parking is available, so it’s not too much of an issue. All in all, I would highly recommend this pub. The food, service, and overall experience were top-notch, and I can’t wait to return soon!”

“I popped into Sykes for the first time today and had a lovely breakfast with butchers sausages and bacon, perfectly cooked eggs and all the trimmings. The coffee was delish! The welcome was genuine and service friendly, as always from Mancunians. A great place to grab a quality bite to eat, recommended.”

This is a really well- run restaurant and nicely appointed, creating a really pleasant environment to catch up over the well presented and really tasty food and well- chosen wine list. “I attended a 50th birthday in the Cuckoo space. Very intimate and well presented space. We caught the tram to Prestwich and it was only a five minute walk away. Recommended for low key parties”

“food - great and super tasteful and well cooked. we ordered some appetisers, the mixed grill and the mixed seafood grill/plate. it was realy good and we filled ourselves too much for dessert. that saffron rice was so good. service - good but can be sorta slow? the food came pretty quick and we didnt have to wait too long. drinks arrived after appetisers which was a little strange but oh wells. no complaints about the staff tho. atmosphere - really nice and pretty. they have a sort of balcony seating which is decorated beautifully. however there was a big group so the place was a little noisy but no fault of the restaurant. overall, really great place and food was amazing. will return again”

I would recommend everything especially the festive Dhal and rice/ sprout bhajis/ Padron pakora korma/ The world famous okra fries-superb!! Also the classic Burl Puri and the mung bean chatpata/ chole saag and vada pav are all stunning genuine delights. As a regular of bundobust in Manchester I cannot recommend them highly enough.”

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a traditional Belgian vibe that adds real character.
