“Never been here before even though it is right round the corner from me. The food was lovely! The staff were friendly and attentive. Service was very quick. Planning on going back for the festive menu with the family.”
“Came in the shop today for a sandwich staff was so friendly and welcoming, sandwich was really fresh and tasty. I will definitely be coming back....”
“Surprised with how good this food was, would recommend any of the Brisket dishes, friendly staff and good options for the kids. Guaranteed to come back here.”

“It's been my favourite chippy for over 20 years I've tried every chippy around and found some good ones but always end up back at Great wall.”
“I travelled 1 hour to try the food at Food Junkie as pictures were very tempting.. The food was outstanding. After eating normal low standard food for a long time you forget how good standard food is. Food here is definitely at good standards without any cheap ingredients.... Would definitely pop in again when I'm around for them juicy wings...”
“Best Chinese chippy in Oldham. Never had a bad meal from here but sadly will close their doors for good on 7th May 2023 at 10pm.”
“I've frequented green chilli for years n years for as long as I can remember and never had an issue with there food, everything I've ordered from there for am excample dinner kebabs on nan or pitta, fries, Asian style tikka kebabs, onion bharjis, tandoori chicken, Pakoras, pieces of chicken tikka, all the side items, chicken, burgers, I've been enjoying a meal deal called south Indian thali which consists of 3 curries, a chicken korma, chicken tikka massala and a lamb curry (can't think of the name right now) i can tolerate spicy food and do enjoy it but when it comes to curry my favourite is chicken korma its always been the same followed by chicken tikka massala so this deal is perfect for me. You also get a nan bread, a tandoori chicken leg, pieces of chicken tikka, chicken pakoras and salad and sauce if required I order it for myself as my kids won't eat curry so i have some then have seconds the day after so there's definitely enough to go around although if you like a pile of rice I'd order an extra potion but it's an absolute bargain staff are always kind and friendly they temporary shut for a while not so long ago and they certainly was missed from all of threw local customers definitely recommend z”
“The foods always spot on. I order every weekend and it’s here straight away. Even wanted a small order and they came and delivered it without no delivery charges. They are the best, very happy customer.”
“Absolutely brilliant food. I’ll be going again soon. Food was piping hot and really tasty. The restaurant was empty which is sad. People should be supporting small businesses. I’ll be going again for sure.”
“Great size room for 200 people for a football presentation, fair drinks prices, kids had a great time on the dance floor. Food was provided but a bit cold when served, so so for the food and only 1 person serving so took a while to get any food”
“Huge order for work. Delivered on time and good quality. Managed to get the order perfect. Thank you”
“Ah, Cheerful Garden. A name that conjures up memories of my OG Fiat Punto, Friday nights, and the purest form of salt and pepper chicken imaginable. My cousin and I, two seasoned veterans of Friday night feasts, embarked on a pilgrimage back to the hallowed halls of this culinary institution after nearly two decades - both having moved away. The anticipation was palpable. Would the magic still be there? Had the years dimmed the flavor, dulled the spice? We nervously approached the dimly lit sign, our hearts pounding like teenage drummers. The aroma hit us like a tidal wave, a symphony of sesame oil, garlic, and pure, unadulterated deliciousness. Nostalgia washed over us, stronger than a particularly potent Satay sauce. But alas! Tragedy struck. After rattling off our order with the fervor of a seasoned auctioneer, I was met with a chilling realization. The sight of a grown man totting up on a casio calculator can only mean one thing... cash only. My heart sank. Years of climbing the corporate ladder, of meticulous budgeting, of carefully navigating the treacherous waters of modern finance, had all led to this – a cash-only Chinese takeaway. Despair threatened to consume us. Luckily, my cousin, a man of resources (and apparently, a card-carrying member of the American banking system), had plastic. But the ordeal was far from over. Finding a cash machine in Lees, a town that seemed to exist outside the realm of modern convenience, proved to be a Herculean task. We circled the "Co-op" (now an Aldi, a cruel twist of fate), only to find ourselves cash-less and craving. Just as hope began to dwindle, a beacon of light – a cash machine shimmering beside the legendary "Legends" – appeared. And whilst it accepted his Bank of America card, it was clear that the Chinese gods smiled upon us. And then, the feast. Salt and pepper chicken that could convert even the most ardent vegetarian, chow mein that danced on the tongue, black pepper chicken that set our souls on fire. The Singapore vermicelli, oh the vermicelli! And the soup, a fiery elixir that warmed our souls and banished all memory of our cash-related woes. Now, let's be real, reheating takeout is an art form. But even after a journey longer than most cross-country road trips and a brief stint in the air fryer, the Cheerful Garden experience remained unparalleled. It was an 11 out of 10 performance, an oriental masterpiece that could only have been orchestrated by the culinary gods themselves. If I didn't know any better, I'd say they must have droned it in from Beijing. Now, another 20 years may pass before I have a legitimate reason to return to Oldham. But when I do, you can bet your sweet and sour pork that Cheerful Garden will be my last stop.”

“Honestly, one of the best noodles takeaway that I have been to. They have variety of options that you can order, as well as their food is freshly made and tasty. Top customer service.”
“Absolutely lovely food for the price and above and beyond service honestly! Even though they were technically closed, they still managed to deliver piping hot and delicious food about half an hour after their closing time. I was so impressed by the effort they made to get my order to me. The delivery driver was incredibly warm and friendly, and you could tell he truly cared about making sure I was happy with my meal. It’s rare to find such dedication and service these days—highly recommend!”

“Love this place!!! Burgers were spot on and tasted different thanks to the sauces and fillings. Fries are awesome especially with cheese sauce and a good selection of drinks. If you get the chance, talk to the twins if you see them, proper humble, down to earth and and nice guys. All the best at this new location.”
“Westwood east restaurant is a top rated restaurant in the north-west of england because of their food quality and world class service and the well explained and well organised staff. Anyone who would like a top Indian food experience I recommend you come here. The main staff members who stood out to me were Mr Jamal Uddin and Mr Ridwan who both helped me out during my experience here. Following facilities are available, plenty of free car parking, a meeting and conference room available, small and big party advance booking available. Oldham Town Centre within walking distance. Westwood tram station nearby. Manchester airport within 20/25 minute drive.”
“Had a lovely stay including dinner and breakfast. Food was great, we had the roast dinner which was fantastic value for money at £13.95 a head. Breakfast had a good selection of hot food at the buffet. My only, very personal, preference would have been to have more egg options as I didn’t fancy the scrambled eggs and there wasn’t any other option but the rest was delicious and plentiful. Lastly, but definitely not least were the friendly, helpful staff who really made us feel welcome and valued. Highly recommend the Boat & Horses hotel too as the rooms are big, well appointed and the beds really, really comfy. Well worth a stop off.”
“Absolutely gutted this place has closed. Nice Chinese takeaways are hard to find and this place was the top drawer.”
“Called in and had some food, portions and huge and absolutely beautiful. Steak was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend”
