If you are nearby use this shop as they will look after you. When a product is faulty they are understanding and solve the issue promptly. Cash generator are the opposite and will hurl abuse at you. If you are looking for a good 2nd hand store or somewhere to pawn a couple of items. Use CGX”

“Been going to this store since I was a young lad and as an older fella these days, the store is just as great as ever. I prefer to shop here rather than use some online mega shop like Amazon or Ebay, as I can get everything I want without worrying if a courier will deliver or not. The staff have always and are still superb and offer great customer service. Having the Argos Card is also helpful too if you want to make a big price purchase but would rather pay in instalments rather than a big chunk of money leave your account right away. The Argos Card is also far easier to apply for than something other finance companies offer as you don't need a drivers licence or passport for the Argos Card, which could make things easier, especially for the younger adult shoppers.”

“We had our regular annual boiler service yesterday, and were so pleased with the attention received! Danny arrived when we were eating lunch and insisted on sitting in his van whilst we finished eating (only a few minutes), as we have a walk through kitchen/diner. He then completed the service, as planned, to our satisfaction, leaving the area as clean and tidy as he found it. I can highly recommend both Danny (service engineer) and the lovely Becky ( she always organises the date and time of the annual service). Both are so polite, friendly and accommodating. “I cannot recommend this garage enough. I waa being quoted £600 plus for a replacement clutch on my VW golf. Hillgate auto replaced the clucth with a genuine LUX part at fraction of the cost.”

This shop is a gem, it has the loveliest shopkeepers who are so passionate about their vintage wares :-) This is a must visit whenever I’m in Stockport, there’s always something new and the shop goes on forever! You’ll find things you didn’t know you needed but can’t leave without. Pictured is a gorgeous Picture Post magazine I bought! They have a great little collection of these in the centre floors of the shop along with lots of vintage literature, postcards and trinkets!”
