“Come one lunchtime (Tuesday/Wednesday or Thursday in term time) to the carol Nash hall to enjoy competent students from Chethams music school. Tickets (free) available on line. There’s soup and a roll available in the foyer for £3.50 in a cup. The music will be classical and perhaps be unknown to some but it’s marvellous to sit in a comfortable modern space. I’ve never so far, been to an evening concert there but intend to now. It’s very handy for Victoria train/ tram station.”

“Great little cinema which is made especially enjoyable by the little introduction that the staff do on each film, giving a little insight into how it was made, or other films the director has made. The place is welcoming to everyone, and when my partner and I went to watch The Handmaiden, there were a wide variety of people in the audience, which is always good to see.”

“Just dined in at Heavensteak tonight and got the Saturday deal. Quirky little intimate Dive Bar, Excellent Service, Great Music and the Food was bang on! The chicken wings were very tasty, Fries cooked to perfection and the Onion Rings a welcoming compliment to the meal. 5 Stars from me!”

“We visited last weekend with family and friends for a birthday meal and from the moment we walked through the door, we felt genuinely welcomed – and that was entirely thanks to our waitress Nicole( I believe that was her name). She greeted us with the kind of warm, natural smile that instantly makes you feel like you’ve chosen the right place for dinner. Nicole’s service was impeccable from start to finish. She struck the perfect balance of attentiveness without hovering, somehow anticipating what we needed before we even asked. Water glasses never dipped below half, orders were double-checked for accuracy. What impressed me most was Nicole’s genuine enthusiasm for the menu. She offered thoughtful recommendations based on our tastes and described each dish with detail – and she was spot-on every time. It’s clear she knows and loves the food here, and that passion is contagious. Beyond the technical side of service, Nicole made the evening memorable with her personable nature. She engaged with us in a way that felt friendly and sincere, not scripted. By the end of the night, we felt less like customers and more like welcomed guests. If you visit, you’re in for a treat no matter what you order – but if you’re lucky enough to have Nicole as your server, you’re guaranteed a truly exceptional dining experience. We’ll absolutely be coming back, and we’ll be asking for her by name.”

“We had a dinner at this restaurant. It was a delicious meal and a very pleasant evening. The service was fabulous and the atmosphere was very relaxing, all the guests around us looked happy. The restaurant was well designed, very cosy and elegant. All the dishes were beautifully served and delicious. We were even offered a freebie, appetiser, before our meals. We were very pleased that we found this restaurant and definitely would recommend it. I also liked very much Black Sheep Ale.”

“I’ve only been here twice, but it’s already becoming my favourite coffee shop. As someone who knows a fair bit about coffee quality, I can say their coffee is consistently fresh, well roasted, and clearly high quality. I’ve tried both the espresso and the cortado - the espresso was excellent, and the cortado had beautifully textured milk and was really well balanced. The customer service is honestly the best I’ve experienced in Manchester. Today, the tall guy behind the counter was genuinely interested in how my day was before even taking my order, which felt refreshing and sincere rather than scripted. Little things like that make a big difference. I’ll definitely keep coming back.”

The Service is always wonderfully friendly and quick, the quality of the pizzas are second to none and the garlic bread is a great added extra. The staff were super friendly and attentive, checking in on us and making sure we were enjoying everything. My only tiny gripe was that it got a bit loud as the night went on, but that didn't spoil the experience. Overall, I left feeling really happy and would definitely recommend it!”

“Lovely little hidden gem of a cafe. Really tasty food & drinks, a great atmosphere. I've lived in Mossley all my life and only found out about the existence of this place recently, but I'm definitely glad I did. Went back today (my third visit) to find a new menu. Food still of a very good quality, but I preferred the breakfast sandwich that was on the old menu. The crispy potato skins were a strange addition. I'm all for not throwing away food, but they weren't something I'd try again.”

“Intimate little restaurant serving fabulous food, all cooked on order by owner and Chef, Mandy. The paella is the best I have ever tasted but don't forget to check the specials board as well. When everything is so good it's ideal that it's tapas, perfect for sharing with family and friends. Menu prices are very reasonable and as it's BYOB, you save money bringing your own alcoholic drinks. (Edit ; they charge that small an amount for corkage i never even noticed until they replied to this review) Friendly, attentive staff in a lovely relaxed atmosphere complete the picture, making this one of my favourite places to bring the people that I love. x”

The service was excellent, the staff were friendly and helpful, and it was lovely and clean. It was my 8-year-old's birthday and the staff made him feel so special. “A nice fine dining restaurant with absolutely delicious food. We visited the restaurant for lunch and it was an amazing experience. There are various options for both vegetarian and non vegetarians. “I had to write this review straight away, as it was such a pleasure to visit a pub where we were met so warmly, the cask beer range produced in house is excellent ( Tried two & both very drinkable & very reasonably priced ) It was just a shame I had a train to catch otherwise I would have stayed! I will definitely be back & can only recommend! (Trains roughly every half hour from Manchester lovely small beer garden which is a sun trap!”
