“Wonderful cafe/bar in the heart of Chinley Village. Stumbled across it today and will definitely be back. I had a few craft ales but will be back for the food and coffee, looked delicious. Also can't speak highly enough of the staff. Sarah was particularly great.”

“I visited The Oxnoble on a Sunday with a friend who had been before for their Sunday roast. She mentioned the concept had changed a bit, but regardless, the Sunday roast was absolutely delicious! Our waiter, Sean, was super friendly and made the experience even better (he recommended the cauliflower chees and OMG soo good). I would definitely recommend The Oxnoble to anyone visiting Manchester for the weekend!”

“Beautiful, fine-dining restaurant with fabulous food, cooked by very talented chefs, and a wonderfully attentive service/front of house team. Thank you so much for making my aunt's 90th birthday such a special one and kindly allowing us to bring our own cake which was brought to the table in perfect timing and then cut for us beautifully. A family favourite of ours! 'Adult family' favourite, I may add. I wouldn't say it was a 'young family restaurant' as such. More of an adult dining experience, especially perfect for special events. To me, it feels special without being pretentious. The staff have always been incredibly kind, friendly and helpful; wanting you to enjoy your time with them. Thank you again. “The owner David puts on various speciality nights , tonight was a Thai night and all the food was prepared and cooked by his partner Sai .. It was awesome, she is an amazing cook, the food was outstanding and made me feel like i was actually back in Thailand .. at £30 per head probably the best Thai meal i have ever had in the UK ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“We turned up as a party of 5, late notice on a Sunday evening after a long drive from the West Country. Despite the kitchen about to close, the lady who served us was extremely accommodating and we were soon served with absolutely lovely Sunday roast dinners; delicious food and plenty of it, nothing was too much trouble. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Lovely atmosphere and a nice clean and friendly pub.”

“Had the beef and Stilton pie. Best ever!! Beautiful..Lasagne and chorizo fabulous. Obviously home cooked. Great service and so friendly. Highly recommended and food such a high standard. Get yourself there!..Also dog friendly and able to sit outside under a massive awning if prefer to inside. Lovely walks behind pub and 1.5mile walk from Bullyard campsite.”

“The BEST venue! The heart of any establishment is it's staff. This is what makes The Spinning Top, not only special, but an incredible place to be. Mike, the landlord, is the kindest, and funniest guy you will ever meet. Our band (For The Hornets) travelled a round trip of around 9 hours to play here, and we were treated like royalty by all of the staff. It rubs off on all of the customers too, as complete outsiders we were made to feel like family. The Bar: Extremely well stocked, with a huge range of craft beers, wines, and mainsteam lagers. My draft Peroni was ice clod and in a Peroni glass - they take pride in what they do. The whole place was spotless, including the loo's. Playing as a band: As I mentioned we were treated like kings. We borrowed the house equipment (a god send for a travelling band) and it was all fantastic. Mike done the sound better than most professional sound engineers that we meet. Epilogue: The following day I had a panic attack that I'd left some vital grear at the venue, and woke Mike up at silly 'o' clock in blind panic. He was calm and extremely helpful. I'm so grateful for this. My was head slightly sore from over-indulgence.... but my abs sore from laughing all night. Absolutely incredible venue. Best in Stockport and Manchester. Would travel a long way out of my way to visit here again. 11/10.”

“This is such a great spot for brunch or a drink, relaxed atmosphere downstairs and there's an upstairs and outside seating available. I have the veggie breakfast and I was skeptical at how good broccoli would be on an 11am meal but I didn't need to be! This breakfast delivered. The broccoli, the hummus the Potatoes each bit was tastier then the last!”

“We had a wonderful evening at Wanago! The service was excellent; friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. The sushi was absolutely delicious, fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. Highly recommended if you're looking for a great sushi spot with a lovely atmosphere!”

“The Birches is a very welcoming pub, great atmosphere with an open fireplace to warm any weary traveller. A great selection of beers and larger, I had a glass of their Australian Shiraz, which was very nice; much nicer than what is usually served in pubs. Food is served using locally sourced produce. It is traditional, very well cooked, and served on nice warm plates. Recommended to all.”

“Cosy pub in a former post office building. Wide range of local and international beers. Events include: pub quiz, poetry night, live music and painting night. I haven't eaten here, but friends have told me it serves good quality, pub-style food. Outdoor seating available. Friendly and efficient staff.”
