“Last night, I called in for a takeaway pizza. There was a tiny issue with the timing as the place was so busy but it was absolutely nothing to concern myself about. But ,because of this, the young lady serving me, Victoria, could not have been more helpful. I left wood fire smoke with a smile on my face only get home to eat the usual delicious pizza that I always order. If you have never been to this restaurant, then it’s time you did. I wholeheartedly recommend it as the pizzas are the best in town and staff are lovely.”

“Haven’t been here for a good few years. Used to go regularly but got bored of the flavours and prices went up. Went today as we were craving for authentic halal Chinese food. The food was amazing. From the squid to the prawn balls. The egg fried was nice. The best had to be the roast duck in black bean sauce. The flavours were deliges and the duck tasted good. The complimentary prawn crackers were a good touch. Will be definitely coming here again soon.”

“Came here for some food after a night out and the food was really great. Had some work going on so the place looks a bit messy but still the food is great. Freshly cooked so not super quick but worth it. Price is fair too. Will be back soon for sure”

“Since my review below, management have reached out to me and have confirmed their cutlery and crockery is recyclable hence I will add another star to my review. Many thanks for response. Very interesting place for breakfast or lunch in Cheadle. This cafe is definitely a positive addition to the Cheadle community - making it feel more like some of the cafes in Didsbury. It is very clean and had a nice friendly atmosphere. The manegment adhere to the Jewish community, hence this cafe is closed on a Saturday. You will find lots of nice things on the menu and everything is well presented and clean as stated above. The reason I can't give this more than the 4 stars, is based on the disposable plates, knifes and forks and coffee / tea cups. I imagine on a good day this Cafe must go through a lot of disposable waste. Not sure if any of this is recyclable (but I have no proof) so effectively this cafe could contribute to world pollution (perhaps comments from management will put me right on this issue). It would be good to have notices saying the cutlery , crockery is all recyclable as this would get another star from me. And lastly but not leastly there is only one Vegan option on the menu. As we all know Veganism is on the rise and it is always good to have more Vegan options on the menu. On the other hand for the Jewish community it isn't an essential - but for the public it might be. In conclusion I would recommend this place as it gives a fresh look to the Cheadle community and it is clean. Worth a visit if you are in Cheadle.”

“The rice is fragrant, the chicken is tender, and the butter chicken is creamy! The veggies are super flavourful and I like the tomato base My only gripe is the samosa- a bit too meaty but not enough flavour, otherwise it's overall a nice experience”

“I moved to Didsbury with my friends and we decided to try the various options at the many restaurants. Here we found a warm welcome and a very pleasant atmosphere. The restaurant is clean, the service is smooth and fast, and the staff was truly excellent. As for the food, the fillet steak with green peppercorns was superb, the seafood risotto was excellent, and the breaded cheese. You've gained two new customers, see you soon, and thank you to the staff.”

“Al tayyba had very good food, good portion of both dishes which were Qabily palau and kofta kebab on rice. The price was good as well compared to the quantity of food we were given. Ambiance of restaurant was also excellent.”

“We had a delicious lunch here. Their gyros are probably one of the best in town. The owner is friendly and happy to talk about what they serve. They use quality ingredients and you can easily tell their food tastes delicious and authentic. They have a fantastic meal deal where you can get a gyro, a drink and a cake for around a tenner. The place is nice, quiet and with some beautiful Greek decorations on the wall.”

“I visited on Saturday evening as I was very hungry- the atmosphere was welcoming. The menu has variety of options and the girl who helped me to choose the menu recommended Keema Pav and I was also looking for fish she suggested Tava fish with garlic naan - awesome choice of her's which I liked. Staff was even checking to see if everything was good and the food is top-notch quality. Highly recommended place!”

“I've been going here for over 5 years now. Service and food has been consistently good all that time... My favourite dishes are haddock and chips, both of which they do very well, and pretty much any and every kebab they make (beyond doner, which itself is excellent, they know how to do Mediterranean and marinated (tandoori style) chicken). Just all round great food and pleasant experience from staff”

“Lovely Pizza Express, our Waiter was wonderful as always and one of the reasons we are repeat customers. The warm atmosphere was very well appreciated considering the weather outside is awful!! “Last week we were [invited] to Sotto for "Tales of the Med" with Stir by night which involved bottomless tapas, paella, pizza and pasta Sotto is a fusion of Spanish and Italian cuisines which has resulted in a combination of homely, fresh food made with passion. Our night began with a coktail, the first of many....so the concept for this night was to bring s bottle of spirits which the @stirbynight guys would craft into genius cocktails as we feasted. I was very impressed with every drink they made with my favourite being gin based and served in a glass of powered beetroots, this resulted in a vibrant shokicng pink cocktail The food was crazy. Not just in flavour but in quantity! I have never been so full that I have had to force myself to eat mushroom and truffle ravioli before, it's a favourite of mine and I was tortured by its beautiful smell as I collapsed in a glutenous heap We were served pizza, Spanish tortilla, patatas bravas and olives before a very unique dish was served (The 4th picture) At first glance I thought this was a paella, but it was actually made of pasta cut finely and cooked with clams and parsley. It was very unusual and like nothing I've had before, personally I did not enjoy this as much as the actual paella that was served later on The chicken paella was absolutely beautiful, it was cooked in a traditional method from the region of Spain the owner Athena is from. I filled up on this a bit too much but paella is up there in the lisy of my favourite foods My favourite dish was the deep fried ravioli! Stuffed with spinach and ricotta, deep fried and topped with a tomato based sauce with Chorizo. This was incredible!! Definitely an amazing invention and a trend needing to kick off Overall we had an amazing experience, theres too much food to talk about. Big thank you to Sotto and Stir by Night for having us. So I thought if try here. I'm so glad I did, the guy who answered the phone was so helpful and helped me pick the best curry based upon the description I gave of what I wanted. I'm out of the catchment area so paid more for delivery and I would again because the food was so delicious and I haven't got 1 thing to complain about, and I complain about anything that's anything but perfect! “I’ve tried Aroma a few times - the food is delicious, fresh and always served piping hot. I tried the tandoori mixed grill, garlic naan, biryani and chicken jalfrezi which were fresh and full of flavour. Portion sizes are always very generous too. Customer service is brilliant and the staff are friendly and always take time to listen to my order carefully. One of the best curries I’ve had and the price is decent too - why go anywhere else? Aroma Wilmslow is now my go to place when I want Indian food. Seriously give it a try - you won’t be disappointed!!!”

“We are Americans visiting Manchester for the holidays. The Didsbury Pub was recommended to us for dinner. We had dinner at The Didsbury Pub on Christmas Eve, and it was fantastic! Steven, our server, looked after us; he did a fantastic job. The Didsbury Pub had a Festive Menu on Christmas Eve and our compliments to the Chef. The food was delicious. The hand carved roast turkey with Yorkshire pudding was awesome. So was the Marmalade Glazed Ham Hock. And the desserts. The apple & blackberry crumble was scrumptious; as was the melting chocolate fondant. The pub is beautiful. The atmosphere was great. One of the best dining experiences in all our travels. Thank you to Steven, the Chef, and all the great people at The Didsbury Pub. I highly recommend everyone visiting Manchester to stop in and enjoy The Didsbury Pub.”
