“Came here for our anniversary meal and it honestly was the best meal we have had! The staff were incredible throughout the night, and whilst we didn’t get their names, the young, blonde lady and the middle aged, olive skinned gentleman who served us a glass of bubbly each were amazing. The food is to die for and trust me you will not be going hungry when you leave. Thank you for making our night an unforgettable experience!”

Every bite was delicious, and the sides complemented the meal beautifully. “Great spot for always having at least one gluten free beer on tap, usually a couple. I'm a big fan of when they've got locals like Brightside. Generally a good atmosphere whenever I come. Sometimes a lot busier than others, probably event related as it's very close to a number of live venues. That said, I can often find a seat in the second, quieter room pictured below. I would appreciate GF food options, but I understand this is exceptionally difficult considering they do pizzas. The music is almost never particularly loud, which means you can always converse. The only setback would be that some of the beers can be pricey, but this is absolutely to be expected given they are quality craft beers rather than mass products, and I say this is one of the few spots where it's worth it”

“Cocktails were 10/10!! It’s hard to make a delicious Pornstar Martini but they so good we went back for seconds!! Lovely atmosphere and our server V was very friendly and made the best cocktails! Cant wait to go back! So good to have a local fab cocktail bar!!”

“This is an absolute treat! Instead of being in France due to industrial action, we sought to bring France to us and so glad we did. The food was high quality and in comfortable surroundings. Steak tartare as good as I have ever had (minus the egg yolk, because this in Britain!). A touch on the pricey side, but in this particular case, you do get what you pay for. Very good”

“Must see experience for mixologists. A fun and fascinating presentation of complex cocktails using dry ice, Bunsen burners, beakers, and various other mechanisms. Make sure you have your camera ready when they prepare your fancy cocktail. Order one with a beaker icon. Beware: I suspect the alcohol content may suffer for the theatrics, but the results are still tasty. Priced very high for entertainment value.”

“Manchester Road Chippy is an absolute gem! The food is always delicious and perfectly cooked, but what really makes the experience stand out are Lydia and Phoebe. They are fantastic at their jobs—friendly, efficient, and always with a smile that brightens your visit. Their dedication and great service truly deserve recognition, and honestly, they should both get a raise for the amazing work they do. If you're in the area, this chippy is a must-visit!”

“Everything at Puss in Boots is always amazing. The food is consistently delicious, the staff are incredibly friendly, and both the team and management regularly check in to make sure you’re looked after. Every visit feels like a big family reunion — the atmosphere is always welcoming and full of good energy. Whether we pop in during a walk just for a drink, or bring family and friends who are visiting, it’s always our special go-to place. Everyone we take there ends up loving the experience and the food just as much as we do. The staff always take great care of us, and the manager often stops by our table with something new we have to try. I would highly recommend Puss in Boots to anyone in the Stockport area. The atmosphere truly makes you feel at home, and whoever you take there will leave with positive energy and appreciation for the warm interior and amazing service.”

“Absolutely love the food here proper home cooked hearty food which is actually quite hard to find these days. We come quite often to have lunch and I normally opt for one of their amazing pies and my other half loves their Lasagna. Staff are very friendly and welcoming aswell would definitely recommend to others”

“Absolutely loved this hotel. It is a short walking distance from the train station, easy to access. The building looks amazing and the rooms are just fab! It is a proper hotel room but very well equipped even had a small kitchen installed giving a feeling of an RBnb so you can cook your own meals if you want. Nice and clean bathroom with some nice brands of shampoo and body wash. Also had iron and hair dryer. Oh, and the view was stunning, staff was superfriendly. Wifi was quick, easy to connect and even the staircase looks beautiful. Highly recommended accomodation if you visit Manchester.”

Had to try the 12hr baked potatoes just to see what that was all about and they were absolutely divine! Def a recommend from me.”

“Good location. Staff are friendly. Discount parking for the multi story car park-£11 for 24 hours. Room is clean and comfortable. Free of charge for late check out which is superb so I could get a quick shower after ran the Manchester half! Dog friendly hotel. Love it! My dog enjoyed the view.”

We had a mix of Sunday lunches, burgers and steak at our table and there wasn’t a bad thing to say about it. The beef on the roast literally melted on your tongue.
