“Can't fault it for what you pay. We paid £66 per double room and booked 2. My wife, children and I had an overnight stay and thoroughly enjoyed it. Staff where lovely, restaurant area was really nice, building itself from the outside is nice. Yes some bits are maybe a bit dated but what are you expecting for £66 a room.”

“The wait is a little long to get served the food (approx 40 minutes) however, this is worth every second. Food is very flavoursome, hearty and big portions for what you pay. Everything is well made, seasoned and fresh. The baller’s combo was £25 at the time of this review and is almost big enough for 2 people.”

“Our restaurant at work! Staff are friendly, always smiling. Place kept clean, food actually tasty, always choices. Pre- packed or freshly made sandwiches available or hot food. Main restaurant closes at 2 but you can still grab a jacket potato or sandwich after that time. Reasonable prices, too! Plus, they do breakfast! They close just to swap over from breakfast and lunch.”

“This place brings back such nostalgia and memories from when I was studying in Liverpool. Of course, I was ecstatic when I heard they opened a branch in Manchester. Nothings changed fortunately, I still get my large mix and match combo with katsu curry and sweet chilli chicken (best combo) and the portions are always super generous so it’s always comfort food to me. I do wish they did onigiri at this branch though! 10/10!”

“We came for afternoon tea using our wowcher voucher. Lovely service. I like how they position everyone with a window seat. The sandwiches were a bit dried out, but still delicious and the cakes were amazing. Great value for money.”

“Well what can I say about these two little old love birds eh? This couple have had this Chinese for what must be 40 year at least. I remember when the counter was on your left as you walked in and the pair of them don't seam to have changed a bit! He does good salt n pepper spare ribs and if you ask the old fella for something specific he'll give you his version. She's never been the best at English so for best results ask for the captain and I'm sure you won't be disappointed. I like a portion of dabs there. They're not to big and not to small and are a real treat. Hopefully this place will live on but I've never seen them with children? If this little Chinese relic ever comes to a close it will be the end of a oriental era. God bless them both.”

“Staying at a hotel close to this store and ordered on the app. Pizza was ready within 10 minutes and when I came to collect the staff were friendly and I noticed that the floor and kitchen area looked clean and tidy and it also has a 5 star hygiene rating. Then I asked would it be ok to sit in and eat and they said no problem and even though the table was already clean a guy came out and gave it a good spray and wipe over. Pizza was nice and hot and nicely prepared and very tasty. Appreciate all the helpful staff who made it a pleasant visit.”

“The Ox Cheek Ragu was absolutely magnificent. My compliments to the chef. A delight to the senses to be sure, every bite was truly savoured. I don’t think the price is too bad for what you get. Quality and quantity perfectly balanced. The service was also very good and I would like to recognise the waiters and waitresses who were very attentive. If you’re staying over at the Hilton at Manchester airport and you fancy a bite, what more could you ask for? As for the other dishes I cannot say for sure, but the Ox Cheek Ragu was the highlight for me.”

Alberto, one of the supervisors is also fabulous, incredibly welcoming and helped us to feel at home here and also compliments to Moe in the on site office who assisted with parking and is always happy to help everyone! We're at the Trafford location; the apartments are modern and chic, incredibly clean and really spacious - brilliant! Gabriella”

“The Cauliflower steak was very yummy and "something different" from the usual, enough for two persons with added chips. Our waiter (M.) was genuinely friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was nice. The prices were a little more on the expensive side, but that's probably to be expected from being near the airport where you don't have much option to go elsewhere. We didn't see any added or hidden charges, service or otherwise, on our bill. We were very happy and pleasantly surprised, considering the otherwise bad reviews.”

“I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the hotel after reading previous reviews however it seems the owner's of this hotel have gone to a real effort to turn things around, everything was laid out perfectly for us the bed was made nicely and the bath run really nice with hot water, and with folded towels on the bed and free soap show minor details which would be expected on rooms much more expensive. Highly recommend for families my kids loved it. Also great location.”

“I didn’t have high hopes for this place after reading some of the reviews posted here. However, we booked it as part of a ‘Date Night’ package with the Macdonald Hotel and I have to say I was actually very impressed with both the food and the service. I ordered fish and chips and my husband ordered the burger. My fish and chips was possibly the best I’ve ever had at a restaurant - perfectly cooked fish with the chunkiest chips I’ve ever seen! It came with a generous dollop of tartare sauce which was absolutely delicious. My husband’s burger also looked yummy - a proper thick juicy burger, well garnished and with a decent portion of fries. The waiting staff who served us were very polite and efficient too. I don’t think there’s anything I could find fault with. If I had to be picky about anything I’d say the air conditioning was possibly a bit on the chilly side but it didn’t make our evening any less enjoyable.”
