βFantastic night at Whittles. Its a great live music venue and highly recommended. Great night with live band Rio Gold. They are a brilliant Spandau Ballet and Duran Duran tribute. Loved it...β
βGreat spot for always having at least one gluten free beer on tap, usually a couple. I'm a big fan of when they've got locals like Brightside. Generally a good atmosphere whenever I come. Sometimes a lot busier than others, probably event related as it's very close to a number of live venues. That said, I can often find a seat in the second, quieter room pictured below. I would appreciate GF food options, but I understand this is exceptionally difficult considering they do pizzas. The music is almost never particularly loud, which means you can always converse. The only setback would be that some of the beers can be pricey, but this is absolutely to be expected given they are quality craft beers rather than mass products, and I say this is one of the few spots where it's worth itβ
βLaura served me and was very patient and kind. Great service from her. The sweet and sour chicken was delicious.β
βShould've known that writing a review 2 days into a 4 day trip, would've come back to bite me on the back side. We stayed Monday to Thursday in November and on the Wednesday, someone knocked and entered my room without consent or without telling me who they were or why they were coming in. After I had shouted at them to get out they shut the door and walked back out of my accessible room. I got to the door and asked them what they wanted, they said they needed to fit something, never told me what though. Then proceeded to ask if I was going out that day to which I replied, im not sure. We proceeded to go out about an hour later and when we have come back the very thing that was broken, non emergency, was fixed. Again no one asked me to enter. No one asked for consent to enter the room id paid Β£677 for 3 nights. This is not deemed as an emergency because if it was, you have the right to tell me that and ask for my consent to enter. None of this was done. Id went down to reception who agreed it was out of line. I could've been in a wheelchair, In the shower, deaf, naked, anything, none of which was taken into account account. I was told there was no management there at the time and that I should leave me email for a manager to be in contact. That didn't happen for some days so I took to the IHG app which was also useless because a member of management - James- at the Holiday Inn Manchester told me that they dont correspond with one another so whatever they'd offered me in compensation has nothing at all to do with what theyre willing to do, which is nothing. Id suggest if you have any accessible needs, you do NOT book her as if there is any issues, they fail to deal with them, ignore emails and won't accept or compensate for this mistakes Ive left my initial review there so you can see the stark difference between the two in literally 12hrs Fantastic experience at the holiday inn. I brought my client as we were going to look at canal street etc. I had requested that the bed was made up as 2 singles and it wasnt but they quickly got me another bed and made it up for me. We had I think whats called an accessible room, and the room was stunning. Had all the plug sockets you could need along side usb charging ports. Plenty of lights along side a uv light in the bathroom. Spotlessly clean and the beds were comfy and the rooms were warm. They also had a bath along side a shower. Breakfast was amazingβ
βStayed here for a night and had a really lovely experience. The hotel is beautifully designed, the room was stylish and comfortable, and the location is ideal, right in the city but surprisingly quiet, even with the trams nearby. The staff were friendly, the bar downstairs was great for a drink, and breakfast in the morning was solid. The only small hiccup was that I'd requested a sewing kit, and it didnβt get brought up as promised, so I had to go down to reception to get it myself, which made me a bit late. I understand things get busy, though. Aside from that, everything else was great. Iβve stayed at a few Hotel Indigos and this one definitely held up, Iβd be happy to stay again.β
βWhat a place! The location, the decor, the welcome, the staff, the service and of course the food all out of this World. Warm welcome, knowledgeable sommelier who exudes positivity and tells you a fabulous story about the wine, I could listen to him all day. The food is served and explained and is of an exquisite nature. I often donβt even read the ingredients and just try it - and Iβm never disappointed. Youβd be surprised how small dishes can fill you so much. A fabulous place, and a credit to Simon Wood. We will be back again and again.β
βAmazing home cooked food, such great balanced flavours and truly delicious, healthy menu. Tasted like real Eastern European cooked in the home, which is actually what the lovely host told us: all cooked by his wife. Unbelievable desert, nothing was too heavy, but rich and layered tastes. Wine didn't disappoint either. Looking forward to trying again!β
βStayed here for my graduation. Location is great! Near the university. Vegan options for breakfast were amazing! I loved the vegan sausages and the stewed apple toasted nut porridge! Gary was very helpful serving food for breakfast.β
βI had a great stay at the Crowne Plaza Manchester. The rooms were modern, clean, and really comfortable β exactly what you want after a long day. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout, which made the whole experience even better. Breakfast was absolutely spot on with plenty of choice and everything cooked perfectly. A special mention goes to the reception team, who were extremely helpful and informative. Nothing was too much trouble, and they made check-in and check-out smooth and stress-free. Overall, a fantastic stay. Iβd definitely return and highly recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Manchester.β
βWe overall love this bar and have been coming on and off for years. We first visited many years ago before they installed air con, and our complaint then was how warm it got when busy, the adding of the air con is brilliant. In recent days, we've become regulars. Where to start with the praise? Great vibe, musicals on the screens and lovely clean toilets. Lee, the doorman, is brilliant. A model bouncer and doorman. Last year, we unfortunately had an experience with a straight man who became aggressive to us and we told the bar staff who got Lee, whom proceeded to kick him out with 0 hassle to us and made us feel safe. This is our only bad experience in 5+ years of coming here as the place is great. The cocktails are inventive, delicious and bright to look at. Their new movie night Mondays is a great initiative and their changing boards of cocktails often based on musicals that have come to the city, are brilliant. The bar staff are so smiley, pleasant and love a laugh. One remembers my order every time which is special to us to be remembered. Our only complaint now, is that they're so busy some nights we never have anywhere to sit. But we're so happy they're full and business is booming!β
βI just celebrated my birthday and book release ("Sun-Kissed and Sidetracked") here, and I couldnβt be happier! The service was top-notch; the team greeted me warmly and made me feel really special. The food and drinks were delicious, and everything came out super fast. A lovely complementary dessert plate made my day. I canβt recommend this place enough for anyone wanting a memorable meal! Looking forward to our next visit!β
βI literally forgot to put a review a month ago right after I came back from the opera house, I only had one drink there since I canβt have too many due to my medication. The staff were friendly, I talked to one of them and told them that the bar is really cozy and cool. Might go back there one dayβ¦βΊοΈβ
βCame in after work for a quiet bite and left very happy. Lady at the till was lovely, the special fried rice was a good portion and very filling, prices very reasonable.β
βI wish I can give more then 5 stars to this place, And that's all only for staff , amazing manager and the host we had all staff members were brilliant. Every gaming and fun place can have ups and downs with maintenance and games but it's they way how they handles it and how quickly they act on it We celebrated our twin boys birthday had lots of fun. Unfortunately I forgot the names of staff members but we were booked today afternoon for birthday party 12:00 pm And our host Hijabi girl she was awesome top notch customer service and hospitality. Best place to have kids and adults birthday party or you can just have get together or fun day out as adults or for kidsβ
βFirst time today, the food was amazing!!! Loved the option for a two/three course meal at around Β£23. The Sunday roast was one of the best Iβve ever had. Everything was seasoned!! And tasted so good and the portion size was perfect. The cookie desert was so tasty! Again the flavours were amazing. Defo coming back again.β
βLovely setting. Great service. Their champagne never disappoints and the olives were so tasty. Great place to break up a shopping trip....have been visiting for years and always enjoy.β
βAs an international traveler I was pleasantly surprised at the way I was treated with my friends. There was understandable caution from the door team but after a positive interaction with the head door person we were allowed entry, there was quite a few of us . We all go out ID checked and that was humorous. The venue was just what we needed the place and the music was amazing. The staff were incredibly friendly and we had had an absolute blast! Thank you so much everybody at the Brewers, credit where credit is due!β
βWent here with my daughter who had booked us an afternoon tea. Great value and really enjoyed it. A cocktail was included in the price also and our visit coincided with perfect timing for 2 for 1 cocktails. Good location as right near to Deansgate train station. Waitress/bar staff were very helpful, friendly and attentive.β
βMy stays in Manchester are often in other hotels. This time due to limited availability I decided to stay at AC hotel Manchester city centre. Exceptional stay. Breakfast was one of the best I have had. Outstanding service delivered by Shubh who even made me a fantastic mixed fruit punch. Give this man a promotion βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ.β
βQuirky cottage with a modern look.. Nice and clean with a great view over Holmfirth. Excellent locationβ
βAtmosphere was a bit flat, i felt sorry for the comedians but it was funny and i will be back. Great price, however drinks are expensive.β
βMe and my mum went to zizzi on a Sunday afternoon ( expecting it to be busy but pleasantly surprised and was quiet plus school holidays) I had a free birthday meal to use and have been meaning to go to zizzi for a while so perfect opportunity Prior to going already knew what I was getting the vegan aubergine meatball pizza and 6 layer lasagna ( both cooked to perfection and went very well together!) The pizza had a spicy kick , super thin base and delicious toppings while the lasagna had a unique layers with a rich tomato sauce , pesto and crispy kale ( if seen in supermarkets and been tempted to buy from the freezer but glad I had in store ) The service was professional, welcoming and super good with allergens , overall a great time and highly recommend For families , dates , solo the perfect meal thatβs reasonably priced , have a range of offers and deals plus if you get the app get perkz like this so the bill was 1/2 price and came to 2 for 1 on mains plus had a ciderβ
βClean, well laid out, good food, friendly and helpful staff. Hairdryer, small fridge, iron and board in room. Tea coffee making facilities in room. Close proximity to trams. Canal looks good at night surrounded by lights. Ample parking. Efficient lifts.β
βI've rated this as a five star as I believe previously this place has suffered some bad reviews. It's not a 5 star place, It's not fancy or modern. It was warm enough for me and comfortable, peaceful and a short walk to the train station. Excellent value for money, half the price of the Travelodge down the road. I will likely stay again in the future.β
βLovely club. Good dj,great vibesβ
βWhat a fabulous artist! I took my 82 year old friend for her very first tattoo. She was doing this to raise money for the Royal British Legion Women's Section. Colin decided not to charge her, draw up a tattoo based on her design, constantly put her mind at ease an reassured her, discussing anything to take her mind off the possible pain. My friend said it did not hurt at all. I can't recommend Colin's work enough. A total professional, a fabulous artist and a kind and generous man. He is a credit to his profession and to humanity in general. I am planning on going back and driving more than 1 hour to visit his home and studio.β
