“First trip to Oldham town centre for almost 50 years! Oldham road once had pubs on almost every corner as you headed there from Manchester City Centre, many from the long gone Oldham brewery. Madge fancied a trip on the Metro and we spotted this pub in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide. Well worth the trip for just this corner pub. A bank of ten real ales. Great vibe plus a front pavement seating area. Madge found a new Oldham brewery..We are Wolf. Bar snacks incl sausage rolls. Great visit.”

“I had to write this review straight away, as it was such a pleasure to visit a pub where we were met so warmly, the cask beer range produced in house is excellent ( Tried two & both very drinkable & very reasonably priced ) It was just a shame I had a train to catch otherwise I would have stayed! I will definitely be back & can only recommend! (Trains roughly every half hour from Manchester lovely small beer garden which is a sun trap!”

“Amazing food, great service and unusual idea, all you can eat steak with the system of controlling when you wish to be served again by flipping the card from green to red. We visited last night for the first time and left really full and impressed. This is definitely not our last visit,the next time will probably come for bottomless service so drinks could flow as well. It's not cheap but it is worth the money. Everyone from the staff was very friendly and welcoming, the whole experience was just unforgettable including the deco and music. Thank you for having us and making our anniversary so special. “Fantastic Neapolitan pizza, with creative and delicious sides and small plates. The location is perfect for summer days sat outside at the front with friends. It can book up quickly so make sure to ring for a reservation otherwise you may be struggling to get in.”

“A charming little restaurant with beautiful, wholesome, Polish food. The service was excellent too, the team were super friendly and very keen to chat! The food arrived promptly and everything was clearly freshly made and tasted delicious. We had starters and mains washed down with honey beer (yum!) and finished off with homemade Polish cakes. The portions were generous too. I would definitely go back, we had a great experience.”

“One of if not the nicest Chinese chippy in Stockport. The lady who always serves is polite and helpful. The portion sizes are very good and the food is lovely. The only thing I did not like and this my personal choice was the curry sauce. This would not stop me returning as everything else is really nice.”

“This is our Fifth time in here. Never failed. We had the Brunch menu, my Lily had crêpe and she said it is tastes like pancakes which she likes very much. And my Ami had a nice chicken burger. “I visited the Crown this evening for the Santa photo shoot and for dinner afterwards. The food was gorgeous and the management and staff went above and beyond. My daughter loved (The Real) Santa and we can’t wait to receive our photos. Thank you for a lovely evening. Will be returning very soon.”

“The tolly is a great traditional pub, large selection of drinks. Lovely setting on the canal, option to sit outside in pub garden, dog friendly and all round great pub”

“A gem of a place, whether you’re enjoying the outside space or sat inside. I an a coeliac and thr menu had some great choices. Great bar too. Lots of outdoor seating areas. Really great staff, friendly and informative. Definitely added to my favourites list. Thanks - lived the peacocks too”

“Really good pub at the end of the runway. And very near the railway (hence the name) Came on an early Sunday afternoon for a quick pint. Very good service - food looked and smelt great, but we didn’t stay that long. Probably will be back one day soon though! Very big beer garden out the back. Caters well for kids (if that’s your thing) so can be for better or worse. Building inside is very low beams and ducking if your about 6ft and above! But really nice.”

“Had a lovely experience at the village cafe today, was greeted by the lovely waitress ella who seated us immediately alll the staff were so lovely and there was no wait with our food, which tasted absolutely amazing i ordered the Breakfast wrap which was absolutely delicious and the smoothie was so yummy. “New Sunday lunch menu is delicious!! Really good gravy, lamb/beef/pork/vegetarian options all looked great. Bar staff unsure which is their favourite - always a good sign!! Haha very friendly bar staff too. Very full and content now :) vegetarian pictured. Looks like not enough gravy, but plates are huge so there was actually plenty. Thanks! :)”

“A fabulous place for the kids and plenty of space for adults to sit and watch. There is an extra large play area and a great cafe. You get a half price voucher when you register online to become a member and every visit after that you get a £1 discount. Allowed a maximum of three hours stay or two hours at busy times so plenty of fun times with the kids. Would highly recommend this place, it’s clean and friendly with plenty to do and an excellent place for birthday parties tailored to suit your individual needs and numbers”

“Was recommended this place by a work colleague and a group of 9 of us went. Parking can is available outside with plenty on side streets. Nice friendly vibes and smells emanating inside were delightful. We decided to book a room (can seat around 12 people I reckon and maybe more) and only negative criticism was that we did have to ask on several occasions for place to be cleaned up. This place can get busy. Complimentary soap was the perfect start and a nice touch. Ordered the lamb Zumbina and it was delightful. The meat was succulent and the flavours really lovely. The food arrived very quick and even partook in the chicken brost which I highly recommend. Only item I didn’t enjoy was the fasha and it’s a very distinguished taste. Not for me anyway. Card payments accepted and friendly service. Toilet (only 1) which has a bidet and was clean. Could do with another ideally and washroom facilities also available. A place I enjoyed visiting and wouldn’t hesitate in recommending and returning.”

“Got there at lunchtime and it was lovely and quiet. I went for the standard carvery and the other half had the chicken burger. The carvery was lovely and fresh with good sizes of meat. The chicken burger was good, apparently, but the coleslaw let it down. All in all a good quick stop off for a lunch that was hot and a good size. The cake slices were huge!”

“Stopped into this pub on the way home from a weekend wedding to break up our journey. The chef and host could not do anymore for us. The food (mikes kitchen) was delicious I had a chicken roast and my husband had a homemade pie. Our daughter is a fussy eater they accommodated her perfectly. Staff were very friendly and easy to talk to, as we left they were setting up for karaoke, wish we weren't leaving.”
